There was a pause, then Cayden said, “Osay is from Earth. He is desperately searching for the two Pages of Destiny!”
His voice cracked. “Osay derives his powers from a secret weapon. That weapon must be stolen to defeat him!!!!”
The video stopped. The light from the pencil faded.
Staler pocketed the device and turned expectantly to the Scavenger.
“I hope you now know why I said that his name seems to be Cayden. It’s in this video.”
The Scavenger said, “Hmm. I think it’s important that we must get the secret weapon of Osay.”
James shook his head. “Are you insane? There might not be any such weapon!”
The Scavenger frowned at him. “James, you just heard what Cayden said. What is there to doubt? ”
James nodded. “We have to be sceptical of everything now. How can we trust Cayden? Isn’t it possible that Osay has planted him in the Brentinute?”
The Scavenger paused but held his ground. “James, I appreciate you have a different angle to everything. But just see Cayden’s critical condition. Do you think he would inflict such terrible injuries on himself? Well, I have no reason to disbelieve him.”
Before James could argue further, Staler’s phone buzzed and he spoke to someone.
After the call got disconnected, Staler said, “It was the doctor on the line. Cayden is out of the coma.”

Staler appeared concerned. “I am worried. If Osay gets to know that Cayden is here, he may attack the Brentinute.”
“Don’t worry,” the Scavenger said. “Now that he is out of coma, we’ll talk to him at length. He could tell us about Osay’s secret weapon from which Osay derives his powers.”
The Scavenger paused for a while and spoke, “We need another critical bit of help from you Staler.”
“Whatever I can,” Staler instantly replied.
The Scavenger informed him about their plans to use the spaceship available at the Brentinute to go to space in order to get the Second Page of Destiny.
Staler stroked his chin. “The spaceship has not been used for many years. It needs serious maintenance. I doubt whether we have in-house expertise to repair it.”
James whispered to the Scavenger, “Let us ask the Greenies if they can help.”
The idea seemed brilliant. The Scavenger pressed the button on the bracelet given by Commander Greene.
“Wait for a moment. Commander Greene will be here,” the Scavenger said.
Staler looked surprised. “In a moment?”
The Scavenger nodded. “Yes. A moment. They must have reached the gates by now.”
Staler was confused. “But... you said they live in Jupiter, and I don’t think -”
The phone rang. Staler immediately picked up. He appeared shocked.
After disconnecting, he turned to the Scavenger. “The guard informed that there is an army of green monsters standing right outside the Brentinute!”
They all rushed outside and greeted Commander Greene.
Commander Greene looked disappointed. “You’re safe? Aw man...” Then he sniffed sheepishly. “I mean, don’t get me wrong, but I was hoping for a good fight.”
“Sorry,” the Scavenger said. “You’ll have to wait for the fight. I called you for some urgent help. We need to do a quick repair and maintenance of the spaceship here for which we need your expertise.”
Commander Greene smiled. “I am surprised about your assumption that the Greenies would have the expertise to repair spaceships. Of course, we can.”
The Scavenger looked at James, who smiled back.
Commander Greene called out few names. “They are my expert team of five experts for spaceships led by Gronene. They are the best scientists we have, actually the best scientists anyone can have. They’ll help you. Meanwhile, I leave for the Mountains with my army, waiting for you to call us again.”
Commander Greene turned towards Gronene. “Any doubts?”
“No, Commander, rest assured I will keep the Greenies’ flag flying high.” Gronene was full of energy and enthusiasm.
After Commander Greene left, Staler guided the five Greenies to his office, where a group of the Brentinute scientists were waiting.
After brief introductions, Staler said, “We have a spaceship that can accommodate five persons. It requires repair and overhauling as soon as possible. Maximum, we have a week’s time.”
Gronene replied, “Well, if we have only a week, I suggest that we overhaul it to seat only four persons instead of five. This will help...”
The discussions continued for several minutes. Gronene turned to the Scavenger. “We can redesign the spaceship within a week, but it can only have four persons.”
The Scavenger said, “Done.”
“Let me make you aware that we want the spaceship to allow us to go out and come back into space whenever we want,” James said.
“Well! Multiple entry-exits are not possible,” Gronene said.
“What’s the best you can do?” the Scavenger asked.
Gronene thought for a while and spoke. “We can arrange for a shuttle that can break escape velocity and venture into the Earth’s orbit. But it will get destroyed after one use. I don’t think we can solve your problem so soon.”
“Hold on,” James said. “We don’t have to move too much in space. We already know where the page will be. It will be in the path left by the Great Fireball of 1972. Our entry and exits would be tremendously reduced.”
“Still, if the shuttle breaks down, you would be stuck in outer space,” Gronene said.
Everyone turned instinctively to James.
“I need to think,” James said. “In the meantime, at least you can start the work on the spaceship.”
The scientists nodded and left the room along with the Greenies. James sat in the corner of the room, surrounded by books. He was racking his brain to find a solution to the problem.
The Scavenger glanced at Staler. “I don’t know whether your scientists or the Greenies would be able to find a solution, but I do expect some breakthrough from my scientist.” He pointed to James, who was flipping through some pages.
Staler scoffed. “You mean to say that this child might provide an answer? I appreciate your confidence in him but I am not with you on this. Let’s
