and attacking Manhattan during our summer vacation. None of us would have been able to predict that Luis. We did good out there, saving those civilians from danger.”

Luis sighed deeply and took a deep breath of defeat, “Yeah I understand. But there better be a good explanation on what the hell is going on here. But I gotta admit, whoever this Timemaster guy is, by stopping the Earth, do you really think he will be the new ruler of Earth?”

Veronica sighed and decided to keep quiet, knowing deep down that they were taken as prisoners. She wondered nervously, were they gotta be tortured? Executed? Or forced to work under this mysterious Timemaster? Will I ever see Trixie and my family ever again, Veronica thought nervously? Allison held Veronica’s hand, since she already knew what Veronica was going through without even reading her mind, on how nervous she was about the situation, trying to comfort her.

“Is Aiden okay?” Veronica asked Allison.

“Yes,” Allison answered. “He’s waking up.”

Aiden opened his eyes, getting up as he saw blue fiery plasmatic cuffs on his hands, restraining him. He looked around, seeing his friends in the same situation he was, battle damaged and handcuffed except these were futuristic type of handcuffs. He saw Commander Morales a distance away, as he reacted by turning on his invisibility which caused a chronic reaction.

SHOCK! SHOCK!

He yelled in pain, as his invisibility turned off, after he attempted to use it to rush towards Commander Morales, but the shock made him kneel back down on the floor of the cargo ship. Veronica, Allison, and Luis all stared at him, as he was suffering from more and more shock aftereffects.

“Nice try, using your abilities Stellar-Being,” Commander Morales approached Aiden and kicked him in the face. “Pathetic.” After Morales kicked Aiden in the face with pleasure, he walked back to the front of the cargo ship.

“You okay Aiden?” Veronica asked worriedly.

“Yeah, I’ve been through tougher situations,” Aiden smiled. “I will be fine. We gotta get out of here.”

The three nodded, agreeing that they had to find a way to break free and be able to fight against this Invasion more if possible. The cargo ship began to head towards the Freighter’s hangar bay, as it held all its air vehicles, military weaponry, and a lot more other stuff. The four Stellar-Beings witnessed this, seeing in amazement that there was so much futuristic technology, that was way beyond the 21st Century, which made sense to them after seeing these spaceships, the AI militants, and these ridiculous plasma handcuffs. The cargo ship landed within the Hangar Bay, as the four prisoners were taken out and escorted by the militants alongside Commander Morales.

“A few of you,” Morales pointed at the specified squadron of AI militants. “Ambush Lemer at the Bridge, catch him alive and take him to Timemaster.”

The AI militants acknowledged his request by nodding in a human sort of intelligence manner, as they head towards the holographic bridge connecting from the Freighter to the Planetarium Traveler X1. The four suddenly got curious on who this ‘Lemer’ was, whether he was a good or bad guy.

“Lemer?” Allison spoke curiously in a low tone. “Wonder who he is?”

A distance away, Jack Walker witnessed the prisoners and grunted with a depressed tone, as he looked at the countdown for the detonations of the bombs; 8 minutes remaining on the dot. Jack facepalmed himself as he stared at the prisoners and the timer on his holographic phone, as he began to worry by the seconds passing. Deep down, he knew that it was the right thing, by saving them, Jay would immediately have done the same thing in this situation. But as Jack looked from the distance away, at the Hangar Bay being wide open, showing the holographic bridge and the sky itself.

“Oh no no no no,” he slapped his forehead and spoke to himself in annoyance. “I forgot; Jay is scared of heights. And is surrounded and these captives suddenly got here. What a day Walker has gotten himself into, I guess.”

Chapter 7

The Bridge

Date: June 26th, 2021 – 8:55 AM

Jay approached the holographic bridge and he waited for the AI militants coming from the mothership. He hid at the side of the Hangar Bay shutter doors. He saw the holographic bridge spanning a mere 400-meters. He walked on it, exiting the Hangar Bay of the Freighter, with his silky bangs getting in the way of his eyes, while tickling his pale cheeks.

THUD! ZAP-PUR!

He collapsed as he looked down through the holographic translucent bridge, seeing how high he was above the New York Upper Bay. As his kneecap hit the holographic bridge, it reacted with a bounce of amplified sound and energy, that dissipated and eventually faded away. Jay feared heights; he could barely make it about 10 meters out of the Freighter on the holographic bridge. His heart sank with a lot of fear, anxiety, nervousness as he crawled on his knees, slowly inch by inch crawling the bridge rather than walking it.

“Why did you assign me this task, Jack?” Jay grunted and spoke angrily. “Why couldn’t I blow up the Freighter?”

Jay kept muttering words to himself, telling himself that he has been in a lot of scarier situations before back in his timeline when in Kimon’s Invasion. With a rush of adrenaline, shaking hands and fingers, he steadily stood up and stopped looking through the translucent holographic bridge while he walked by taking baby steps at a time. Also, he felt slightly safer with water beneath him, not asphalt road or concrete that could result in his immediate death falling from a height of more than a kilometer.

Minute by minute, he began to make good progress, as he was about to approach his halfway point of the holographic bridge. He kept muttering to himself, do not worry you will make it in
