He knew how to play my nipples. At some points, he’d slow down, and I’d feel more of a tease, which would then start a slow burn, that electrifying burn right up my spine. And he played and played until I felt ready to shoot off like a rocket.
He smirked around the taut tip. “I know what’s coming.”
I broke apart. He gave me no quarter, no space, no room. He just kept loving me over and over until I was coming again. This time, he reached his hand between us and took mine with it, having us both stroke my clit over and over again. I was shaking, coming again, and this time, he roared my name against my chest. “Oh, Tanith. Fuck, Tanith.”
Then we were both falling over. I fell on top of him, and he rolled us to the side, holding me close, still attached, still connected to me. “Fuck, you’re trying to kill me.”
I shook my head. “No, I was minding my business, I swear to God.”
His hands were still squeezing my ass cheeks and his finger played on my pucker. “You are okay, though, aren’t you?”
His eyes were so earnest. He was worried he’d let go too much, that he’d hurt me.
I cupped his face and stroked my thumbs over his cheeks. “I’m okay. I liked it.”
His dick twitched inside me again. “Jesus, we can go again. When it comes to you, I can always go. I want your arse, but I think we should probably wait for that.”
I tucked my head under his chin and nodded. “But you know, we could probably still—”
On the nightstand, my phone rang. It was Sera’s ringtone and I frowned. “I should probably get that. She knows I’m with you. She wouldn’t be calling.”
He frowned. “Ignore her.”
“Owen.”
He rocked his hips again and I groaned. “Jesus.” At the same time, he used our juices to slide a finger into my ass and I threw my head back. “Oh my God.”
“Do you still think you want to talk to her?”
Nope, I absolutely did not want to talk to Sera.
I let Owen play with me, getting lost again. The phone stopped ringing but then started right away again.
He murmured a curse against my neck. “Fuck.” He removed his fingers and then slowly eased out of me; my body tried desperately to hold on to him. “Answer the phone. If she’s calling and she knows you’re with me, it’s urgent.”
I whimpered at the loss of him but rolled over and reached for the phone. I answered with a groan. “Oh my God, Sera, is someone on fire?”
“Yes. I’m sorry I ruined your shagfest or whatever, but Aurora is missing. She ditched her security and took off with Felix sometime around two this morning. She’s not back yet, but the Montgomery car is here.”
I sat up immediately. “What? Does she even like Felix? You know what? Never mind. Where are you?”
“I’ve already tried calling her a million times. I’m getting ready to head down to the foyer to grab the car keys, then maybe go look for her. See if we can find a GPS location of her phone from Phin, but also, you can’t tell Lennox because he will lose his shit. Her security team is already freaking out.”
I muttered a curse to myself. “Yeah, I’ll find a way there. See you soon.”
When I hung up, Owen’s brow was furrowed. “What’s the matter?”
“Aurora is missing. She went somewhere with Felix, I guess, but the Montgomery car is back and she’s not, so Sera’s worried. We’re going to head out looking for her.”
He nodded and pulled the sheets back. If I hadn’t been watching him so closely, I would have missed the muscled tic in his jaw and the two extra blinks before he slid down his Owen mask of cool and calm. He was worried. Or maybe that was pissed-off reserve? “All right, let me get dressed. You hop in the shower, I’ll call downstairs to pack us some food, and then we’ll just—”
I shook my head. “You don’t have to help. She probably just got pissed off at them and wanted to get away. I’d bet you anything she’s still in the city. So we’ll keep trying her phone on the way there. If we can’t get her to answer, we’ll find her GPS from Phin without telling him.” I whirled and pointed at him. “No telling Lennox either. You hear me?”
“That’s fine.” Owen looked at me. “Is that all for Aurora’s benefit or because you don’t want people to know how we’ve spent the last two days?” He paused. “Or both?”
I couldn’t decipher his expression, and maybe I didn’t want to. “Maybe it’s not a bad idea to keep things on the down low,” I said slowly, even though I sort of hated the idea of it. I didn’t want to be a secret, not here in New York and not back at Pembroke, but when I thought of how much pride I’d already surrendered to him . . .
Owen realized I wasn’t going to answer, and something dark flashed in his eyes. “Fine. If that’s what you want. But let me help you. I am good at this, you know. I’ve been cleaning after my mates for years, and this involves my brother, Tanith. You don’t even want to know how many times I’ve had to clean up a Felix mess. Let me help.”
“I know you’re good at this. I do.” I leaned forward and kissed him on the lips softly, trying to appease him. “But Aurora isn’t going to want you to see whatever mess she’s in. It was bad enough all of you saw the whole Phineas debacle at the Huntington Gala in November. I’ll go get her.”
He kissed me back but didn’t relent. “Just let me help.
