being shoved into his pockets, moving his bag into the bathroom with his feet.

"It's about time," I laughed.

"What did Nick say and what?" Bridget questioned, tilting her head to the side with one eyebrow raised, her eyes were still covered in dark makeup.

"He didn't say anything important," I responded as Nick went into the bathroom shaking his head. "It's an inside joke."

"You two have inside jokes already?"

"I guess so? It's a weird one, but it helps that we were on good terms before this whole trip,." I shrugged sitting down on the bed. "Sit."

She sat on the chair that was in the corner so that I was facing my close friend.

"Something is going on," Bridget blurted out.

"Yeah we've mentioned that before," I said.

"I was walking through the halls and heard the teachers talking, so naturally I got closer. I got to where they were and they just stopped talking." Bridget told me.

"This whole trip is bizarre." I sighed with a small shake of my head.

"Well, then, I guess you got the right to say 'I told you so', but later please," Bridget begged, as she fiddled with one of her big spider earrings that was intertwining with her dark curly hair.

"We'll find out soon what they're up to," I shrugged realizing I was going to figure it out sooner or later so why stress about it, let alone freak out Bridget even more than she already was.

I hate not having control over something especially when it's involving my life.

"What do you think it is?"

"Probably something simple and right under noses, but we won't figure it out until they tell us when it's too late," I replied, deciding it wasn't a moment for my sarcasm. "So I take it that you and Dill aren't getting along?"

"It's as if he's from another planet and that's putting it lightly. Vlad the Impaler would be more charming than Dill," Bridget answered after an irritated sigh, eye roll included.

"Wow, that just sounds unbelievably horrible," I couldn't hold back the smile from her wording as I stared at her.

Her black eye make-up went with her black spider earrings and necklace. She was wearing one of her black corsets that had an imprinted design on it as it met the top of her black pants that hide what she called her Amy Lee boats. A plum color shawl was tied at her curvy hips to drape over her pants.

"I can't even begin to explain," She muttered, aggravated. "It's like a never ending nightmare. You might as well just fill my closet with Abercrombie attire and burn my current wardrobe before my very eyes!"

"Yuck!" I giggled at her comparison.

"So what was going on before I walked in?" Bridget blurted out, smirking.

"Nothing," I shot out quickly, pushing back some hair behind my ear again.

"Come on tell me the truth me you know you can trust me."

Bridget was probably one of the two friends that I could spill my guts too without having to worry. Bridget and I have always been able to say anything to each other without having to worry about our words getting out into the rumor mill.

"Nothing happened nor was anything about to!"

"You're blushing!" Bridget was pointing at me.

Damn that curse! If I could wish away the ability to blush I would.

"No I'm not. Also he's in the other room so keep it down," I whispered in a stern voice trying to glance over to where the bathroom was hoping that Nick couldn't hear any of this, even though I could hear the shower water running.

"You two are so cute together."

"Bridget, don't push it. You know this is just a project and it will come to an end. Even though we talk it isn't like we talk for hours," I reasoned in a serious tone, trying to bring my friend back to reality. "So don't build up a fantasy world where Nick and I date. It's just that I'm not up to his school level of class if you understand what I mean."

"Rachel at times you can say the most comforting words ever or apparently the dumbest! Well that must have been the most idiotic thing I've ever heard in my entire life," Bridget barked, and tried to push back some curly hair behind her ear.

"That may be true, but what I said makes more sense," I responded before getting quiet.

"Fine, whatever, and I have to go, before some teacher notices that I'm not in my room," Bridget commented, her eyes on me softening.

Marching to the door in her boots she pushed her thick hair behind her ear again since it fell out of its' imprisonment her big earrings jingled.

"I doubt that they'll care or even notice since they're making us share a room with the opposite sex."

"Good point, but still, bye." Bridget left.

It was quiet now so I sat back on the bed to flip through the channels to find a channel I might recognize. Nick's rule was when you left the room you lost your say in channels and I was going to follow suit. That was when I saw a movie I really liked was about to start in about a few minutes, but it wouldn't be over till around one or two in the morning though. I hadn't realized how late it was getting; already the clock was blinking ten fifty. I am a person who needs their sleep.

"I hear that girl time is over," Nick proclaimed, coming out of the bathroom and running his fingers through his wet brown hair as it fell into his eyes. He was wearing green and black pajama pants.

"Sorry, were we too loud?" I asked, probably turning pink and my heart raced.

"No, I was just being myself," Nick replied, grinning big.

"Did you hear any of the conversation?" I fished around, praying he didn't have extremely good hearing.

"No why?" Nick questioned, glowing. "Were you talking about the Godly me?"

"You wish." I rolled my eyes as my insides sighed with relief. "Why are you so full of yourself?"

"I'm
