the night! Meng Lei couldn’t wait!

Beep, beep, beep!

The magic communication device rang again at this point. Meng Lei took a look at it—it was his head teacher, Dirk Norway.

“Meng Lei, you’re back?”

“Yes, I am, Mr. Dirk.”

“Good to know that you’re back.” Dirk Norway heaved a sigh of relief. “Where are you at the moment? Come to my office if you’re free. Someone wants to meet you.”

“Coming right over.”

After Meng Lei hung up, he said apologetically, “I’m really sorry, Ol’ President. I can’t continue the stroll with you anymore.”

“Go ahead.” Ol’ Amos waved him off. “You can also ask about the Dragon-Language Magic along the way.”

“Got it.” Meng Lei nodded.

Then, he walked toward the faculty building. Half an hour later, he reached the front of the building.

“Eh?”

At this point, the countenance of Ol’ Amos, who had been floating about beside him the whole time, suddenly changed a little, and he returned to the spatial ring right away.

“What’s the matter, Ol’ President?” asked Meng Lei, who looked startled.

“There’s the presence of Saint Domains in there.” Ol’ Amos replied via spiritual telepathy.

“Saint Domains!”

Mildly alarmed, Meng Lei didn’t ask any further. Ol’ Amos was in spiritual form, so most people couldn’t see him. However, a Saint Domain expert could.

Should a Saint Domain expert discover him, things would become very troublesome. If mishandled, his life might even come under threat!

I didn’t expect there to be Saint Domains in the faculty building.

Meng Lei looked at the building in front of him.

I wonder who it is? The academy president? Or the few vice-presidents?

Mr. Dirk’s office came into view while he was immersed in his thoughts. Meng Lei knocked on the door.

The door opened, and Mr. Dirk came out to receive him. He looked Meng Lei up and down with joy in his eyes and said cheerfully, “You’re finally back, boy. Here, c’mon in!”

The office was as quiet as usual. Bookshelves and magic-related books occupied a large half of the space, making the place rather cramped and messy. Meng Lei’s eyes swept across the bookshelves, his thoughts flashing across his mind at high speed.

Mr. Dirk has such a vast collection of books. I wonder if there are any books on Dragon-Language Magic among them?

Just as he was thinking about that, Mr. Dirk’s voice rang out. “Meng Lei, let me introduce someone to you.”

“Eh?”

Meng Lei was taken aback for a moment there.

There’s someone else in here?

Meng Lei followed Mr. Dirk’s line of sight and noticed an ordinary-looking red-haired elderly man with a short and round stature. His dressing was very ordinary, and so were his looks. He didn’t exhibit any sort of aura and seemed down-to-earth and unadorned. Plain and unremarkable, he was the kind of person that one would lose sight of the moment he was thrown into the crowd.

However, Meng Lei felt rather unsettled. With his keen Ninth-Grade Great Magician senses, he could clearly detect other presences in the room, even if it were just a cat.

Yet, he hadn’t detected the elderly man’s presence at all even after he’d entered the room for such a long time. Was he really just an ordinary old man?

With a hint of respect, Dirk Norway introduced the man to Meng Lei. He said, “Meng Lei, this is President Fred!”

“President Fred?” Meng Lei looked dumbfounded. “He’s President Fred? Surely not?”

“Hahaha! Do you feel that I don’t look like him?” asked the elderly man with a laugh.

Then, his face began to undergo a swift transformation. It didn’t take long before he turned into a completely different appearance. A pair of horns grew from his head, and his eyes were dignified and awe-inspiring—it was exactly what Meng Lei remembered of the academy president.

“So it really is the academy president!” exclaimed Meng Lei. He hastily greeted him. “Greetings, President!”

“Come here, come here. Let me take a good look at you.”

A smiling President Fred looked at Meng Lei and remarked, “As expected of the most excellent genius our academy has recruited this year. You’re a handsome young man, indeed.”

“You’re too kind, President.”

Meng Lei took on a very humble attitude. The man in front of him was a Saint Domain, after all. A high and mighty Saint Domain!

President Fred asked with a smile, “Meng Lei, I heard that you’re already a Ninth-Grade Great Magician?”

“Yes, I am!”

Meng Lei didn’t deny it. He couldn’t deny it, either; a lot of people had already witnessed it. Besides, Meng Lei didn’t intend to, either.

“I heard from Mr. Dirk that you were only a Fifth-Grade Magician when you left the academy. After that, in just a short month or so, you broke through to become a Ninth-Grade Great Magician!”

There was a sharp glint in President Fred’s eyes. “A breakthrough speed like that is truly shocking. Even the cultivation speed of Adolf, that Abyss Demon genius whose achievements are peerless in history, wasn’t that fast. I’m very curious, Meng Lei, how did you manage to achieve this?”

Dirk Norway was also looking at Meng Lei, his eyes filled with puzzlement. Meng Lei’s cultivation speed wasn’t something that could merely be described as “fast” anymore; it was totally illogical.

President Fred added, “Of course, this is just pure curiosity on my part. I don’t have any intentions of interrogating you. You can choose not to answer if you don’t wish to.”

I can choose not to answer? Yeah, right!

If I don’t give you a proper explanation today, you’ll probably think I’m a devil spy, like Adolf!

Besides, I still want to learn how to use the Titan Holy Thunder from you. If I don’t convince you today, how am I supposed to learn it?

“This is actually my biggest secret. I didn’t intend to tell anyone initially...” Meng Lei looked awfully troubled as he said, “But since you’ve
