Meng Lei shook his head. Then, he turned to the deep pool and said, “Your Holiness, since you’ve already discovered us, why don’t you show yourself?”
Splash!
The surface of the deep pool began to bubble, and then a huge head emerged from within.
It was an enormous snakehead covered in golden dragon scales as though made out of gold. Its violet snake eyes emanated a boundless sense of dignity and stateliness.
Boom!
In the instant that the golden snakehead appeared, a fearsome pressure that could pierce through the heavens and earth spread outward, instantly weighing down upon everyone present.
Meng Lei was naturally unaffected, but his 28 divine beast subordinates were unable to bear it, however. Fear and horror filled their countenances, and they almost instinctively prostrated on the ground in submission.
“I see that you’re a human. Which continent, Heaven’s Vault Continent or Light Continent, have you come from?”
The Magical Beast God watched Meng Lei with its snake eyes and inquired dispassionately of him. As for the 28 prostrating divine beasts, it didn’t spare them even a glance.
“You actually know of those two continents?”
Meng Lei raised an eyebrow. “Since you know of them, why haven’t you occupied them? Surely it’s not difficult for you, considering your strength?”
“Occupying other continents holds no meaning to me.”
The Magical Beast God shook its head slightly. “It’s sufficient as long as I have enough power of faith.”
“Enough power of faith? Is the power of faith generated by Gods-Demons Continent alone really enough?” Meng Lei scanned Gods-Demons Continent and added, “You’re an intermediate deity, after all.”
The Magical Beast God didn’t answer him. Instead, it gave him an eviction order. It said, “Human deity, you may leave now.”
“Leave? Why should I leave?”
Meng Lei’s lips corners quirked upward.
“Human, I’ve already shown you great civility by not attacking right away despite your trespass on my territory.”
The Magical Beast God glowered at him, an icy glint flashing across its snake eyes as it ordered, “Leave at once!”
“Hah, and if I don’t?”
Chapter 301: Wind Blade Grand Burial, Life Guardian
A waterfall measuring tens of thousands of meters wide cascaded from the sky like the Milky Way gushing down from the heavens. Mist wafted about the surroundings, forming a spectacular sight that looked as though it came straight out of a celestial realm.
However, no one was admiring the spectacular-looking waterfall at the moment because of the highly tense situation in front of them.
“Human, Gods-Demons Continent isn’t a place where you can act so presumptuously! I’m warning you—leave at once!”
An icy glint gleamed in the Magical Beast God’s eyes. It gave off a forceful and intense aura as though a ferocious primeval beast that might go berserk and kill Meng Lei anytime.
This guy is much more powerful than Lorenzo, the six-winged Virtue Angel. Be it its divine body or its power of divinity, both are top-notch even among intermediate deities!
Meng Lei could totally sense how strong the Magical Beast God was. Its divine body was terrifyingly mighty, and its life force was strong and vigorous. Power of divinity surged intensely with great force while its divine spirit was as enduring as a rock.
It was hard to imagine that a low-end material plane could birth an existence like that. What was even more unbelievable was that it hadn’t even been 10,000 years since its deification. Who would believe something like that?
Meng Lei wondered, “How many divine incarnations does that guy have? And how strong are they?”
Intermediate deities were defined as those that had fully comprehended at least two types of basic laws of nature and owned two divine incarnations, though they were considered the weakest among intermediate deities. The Dragon God was a fine example of this.
Whereas those that had fully comprehended five types of basic laws of nature, owned five divine incarnations and were only a step away from becoming a higher deity—such as the Beast God—were the strongest among intermediate deities.
The Magical Beast God’s divine body, life force, power of divinity, and divine spirit had all reached their pinnacle. Meng Lei’s bold conjecture was that it most likely owned four divine incarnations.
Four divine incarnations! Yet it hadn’t yet been 10,000 years since an existence like that had deified? Would anyone believe that?
“What a shame that no matter how strong you are, you’re ultimately still just an intermediate deity.”
Meng Lei looked at the Magical Beast God and said, “It’s impossible that I’ll leave, Magical Beast God! I don’t mind telling you this—this existential plane is only allowed to worship one person, and that’s me!
“But if you’re willing to become a subsidiary to me, I don’t mind allowing you to continue ruling over this continent.”
“You’re courting death, human!”
The Magical Beast God’s vertical snake pupils narrowed as murderous looks surfaced in them as though it wanted to devour someone.
“You’ll only know whether or not I’m courting death after we battle!” Meng Lei shook his head and let out a soft chuckle. “Go on and attack. Show me your—the Magical Beast God’s—strength!”

The Magical Beast God didn’t hold back at all. Innumerable violet wind blades shot out of its mouth and reached right in front of Meng Lei in an instant.
These violet wind blades were unlike ordinary wind blades. Not only were they as quick as lightning, but they were also extremely compact and condensed, making them shockingly sharp.
Had it been any other ordinary intermediate deity, they would undoubtedly become riddled with wounds and heavily injured even if they survived. Even the act of fleeing would be tough for them!
“Not bad, but what a shame!”
