A higher deity descending upon Heaven’s Vault Continent was just like special forces soldiers descending upon a nursery school. It was no different from a tiger going into a herd of sheep—practically a disaster!
“Everyone, we cannot just sit around and wait for death to befall us!”
Puhaman sounded grave as he said, “Once something untoward happens to Master, none of us will survive, either!”
His words instilled a sense of fearful anxiety in everyone. They rose into the air, intending to attack and assist Meng Lei, but a sudden turn of events unexpectedly took place at this point.

As though a hydrogen bomb was going off, an incredibly violent and raging aura suddenly erupted from Meng Lei. It instantly engulfed the area and swept through the surroundings.
“That’s...”
Everyone turned to Meng Lei with expressions of shock and astonishment.

As though he had been injected with steroids, the aura around Meng Lei rose and intensified sharply and furiously. Within the span of a few breaths, it had reached an incredibly fearsome state.
Vast, majestic divine power spread from Meng Lei into the surroundings, forming all-reaching energy waves that brazenly swept across all directions with a crushing momentum.
“M-Master has... has broken through again?”
“L-looks like it!”
“How long has it only been since the last time Master had broken through?”
There was a very exciting range of expressions on Puhaman and the others’ faces. Shock, horror, elation, astoundment, agitation, disbelief... Various complex emotions welled up within them.
“He’s actually made a breakthrough in the midst of battle?”
The Beast God and the Titan Spiritual God exchanged a look, both seeing the alarm and horror in each other’s eyes.
Despite having guessed that Meng Lei might break through to become a higher deity before they would, never would they have ever expected him to break through right away!
Just how goddamn *beep* was that?
“A monster! That guy is a total monster!”
The Titan Spiritual God exclaimed, “How long has it only been since he had deified? Yet he’s already breaking through into a higher deity?”
“He’s no monster! The huge secret on him is the true monster instead!”
The Beast God was terribly filled with regret. He said, “Had we known of the secret on him earlier, we would be the ones becoming higher deities now and not him!”
A look of frustration and indignation also surfaced on the Titan Spiritual God’s countenance. Indeed, if they had known about the secret on Meng Lei just a bit earlier and killed him when he was still weak and powerless, how would things have come to such a pass?
“O great Titan Chief God, what exactly have I missed out on?”

“A h-higher deity! He’s actually broken through to become a higher deity!”
The Dragon God also looked shocked and horrified. Before he had descended upon Heaven’s Vault Continent, he had fantasized and dreamed about various ways to kill Meng Lei, avenge himself, and erase all the humiliation he had suffered in the past.
But no matter how he fantasized, he had never once imagined the scenario currently taking place in front of him—Meng Lei had actually broken through in the midst of battle!

A higher deity! That was a supreme stage that he didn’t even dare to dream of!
Yet a human whom he saw as weak, powerless, lowly, and cheap had actually broken through to become a higher deity right before his eyes!

“The Tower of Time! He must have used the treasures in the Tower of Time! That’s the only way he could’ve broken through to become a higher deity in such a short time!”
The Dragon God was completely consumed by regret and jealousy. Unlike the Beast God and the Titan Spiritual God, he had once occupied the Tower of Time for a period of time that lasted as long as tens of thousands of years.
Tens of thousands of years!
What a long period of time!
He’d totally had the chance to gain the Tower of Time’s acknowledgment and inherit everything that the God of Time had owned!
That way, the one standing here and showing off today would have been him and not Meng Lei!
And yet...
He hadn’t gained the Tower of Time’s acknowledgment. Instead, he could only watch helplessly as the supreme treasure fell into Meng Lei’s hands and watch helplessly again as Meng Lei became a higher deity ahead of him.

His emotions were far beyond what the Beast God’s and the Titan Spiritual God’s could compare to.

This was practically a fantasy story!
