“Die!”
Meng Lei roared, smashing his huge claw down and going straight for the Ice Demon’s head.
“Damn!”
The Ice Demon’s expression changed dramatically, and it hastily raised its right arm in defense.
Crack!
The skeletal claw and ice arm collided against each other. Amidst a great collision so loud that it could deafen spectators, the Ice Demon’s ice arm broke apart with a boom, causing ice chips to spray about.
“Again!”
Meng Lei was unforgiving upon gaining momentum, and he started a new round of bombardment on the Ice Demon. He had higher speed and more violent strength than the Ice Demon, and his attacks rained down endlessly like a fierce, turbulent storm.
Boom, boom, boom!
At last, the huge Ice Demon couldn’t withstand the consecutive series of blows anymore, and it broke apart into pieces with a blast.
The Ice Demon had lost!
Whoosh!
A white crystal shot out of the broken ice chips, instantly hurtling into the distance—it was Great Demon God Grover’s demonic core!
“Fleeing? I was already on guard against that a long time ago!”
Meng Lei let out a derisive scoff and smacked his skeletal claw downward in mid-air. As though he were swatting a mosquito dead, his claw completely covered the white demonic core...
Smack!
The blow dazed and dizzied Great Demon God Grover and Meng Lei easily caught the demonic core with a casual grab. The sound of Grover’s mad and furious bellows could be heard coming from it.
“You damned bastard! How dare you destroy my demonic body! I’ll fight you to the death! The enmity between us knows no bounds! I, Grover, swear I’ll be no demon if I don’t kill you—”
Meng Lei couldn’t help but laugh. He couldn’t be bothered to pay any more heed to the fellow. Instead, he turned to Dodola and asked, “Dodola, do you have any way of reading this guy’s memories?”
Dodola shook its head and answered, “I’m just a divinity projection right now, so my divine spirit is extremely weak at the moment and unable to read its memories. Your alternate incarnation can’t do it either, right?”
Meng Lei nodded lightly. Then, he said, “In that case, we can only return to Light Continent for the time being.”
“Let’s go then!”
Meng Lei and Dodola returned to Light Continent, upon which he then passed the demonic core to his true body. What happened next was obvious—breaking through the divine spirit’s defenses and reading its memories.
A long while later, he was finally done with reading its memories.
“How is it?” asked a concerned Dodola.
Ol’ Amos and Amolin also turned to Meng Lei. As for the rest of the Kroc Holy Sect’s higher management officers, Ol’ Amos had already sent them all away to continue spreading his faith.
As for Bailey Yale, the Ancient Demon Pig, he was already on his way to Gods-Demons Continent with his wives and children.
Although the place was a great distance away, there was no other place more suitable for them as a habitat besides Gods-Demons Continent.
In other words, Meng Lei, Dodola, Ol’ Amos, and Amolin were the only ones left in the sky above the Demon Ravine at the moment.
“Dark Hell Continent is far stronger and far more dangerous than what we had imagined, Dodola.”
Meng Lei said with a sigh, “According to Grover’s memories, the Ice Demon Prefecture alone already houses more than ten Great Demon Gods, among which the strongest—the Ice Demon Prefecture Master—is even a mid-level Great Demon God.”
“A mid-level Great Demon God!”
Dodola gasped. It knew the significance behind a mid-level Great Demon God. Great Demon Gods were also grouped into four classes in accordance to how strong they were—ordinary Great Demon Gods, mid-level Great Demon Gods, high-level Great Demon Gods, and Great Perfection-level Great Demon Gods.
They corresponded respectively to elementary-level, mid-level, high-level, and Great Perfection-level higher deities.
A mid-level Great Demon God = A mid-level higher deity!
Ordinary Great Demon Gods and mid-level Great Demon Gods might seem as though they were only a grade apart, but in truth, one was as lofty as the heavens while the other was as lowly as the earth. There was no comparability between the two at all.
One mustn’t be fooled by how Meng Lei’s Abyss Skeletal Dragon alternate incarnation had killed Grover, an ordinary Great Demon God. Had he been up against a mid-level Great Demon God instead, he... would undoubtedly have suffered complete defeat!
Dodola was aware that Meng Lei’s Abyss Skeletal Dragon alternate incarnation’s standard was, at best, only in between an ordinary Great Demon God and a mid-level Great Demon God and was neither higher nor lower than that.
“How many prefectures are there in total in the Dark Hell Demonic Kingdom?”
Dodola popped the most crucial question.
“108,” replied Meng Lei.
Dodola gasped. “In other words, there are at least another 107 mid-level Great Demon Gods like the Ice Demon Prefecture Master in the Dark Hell Demonic Kingdom?”
“Yes, that’s right!”
Meng Lei nodded lightly. He said, “There’s a certain tradition in the Dark Hell Demonic Kingdom—the strongest person usually undertakes the position of Prefecture Master in the prefecture. Additionally, they must also be prepared for challengers for the position at all times. If a challenger succeeds in beating them, they’ll be able to replace them and become the new Prefecture Master.”
This information didn’t come as a surprise to Dodola at all. It said, “Competition among demons is usually as simple and direct as that. The weak are eliminated, and the strong are revered.”
Meng Lei nodded and added, “Because of the stiff competition, those who are capable of becoming the Dark Hell Demonic Kingdom’s 108 prefectures’ masters are all extremely powerful people.”
Dodola asked, “Any news about the master of the existential plane?”
“Probably not.”
Meng Lei shook his head and said, “According to Grover’s memories, there are three most powerful Great
