A smiling Dodola said, “From now on, you’re the newly-appointed Prefecture Master of the Ice Demon Prefecture!”
“You, too!”
Meng Lei returned the smile. Then, his gaze swept across the Demon Gods, Great Demon Gods, and Ice Demon Prefecture Guards around them. It was time to enjoy the fruits of his victory next.
“S-spare me!”
At last, the Ice Demon Prefecture Master couldn’t take it anymore. It begged for mercy hoarsely. “L-let me off! I... I’m willing... t-to submit to you!”
“Submit?”
Meng Lei shook his head. “It’s too late now!”
“Bastard!”
Hate filled the Ice Demon Prefecture Master. It, a lofty mid-level Great Demon God, was sincerely begging for mercy and offering submission, yet Meng Lei had actually rejected it. He was too much!
“Since you refuse to give me a way out, then you can forget about having a good time, too. We’ll go down together, you bastard!”
The Ice Demon Prefecture Master bellowed hysterically. Its gigantic demonic body suddenly began to inflate and expand furiously like an inflating balloon.
“Oh no! It intends to self-destruct!”
At the sight of this, the expressions of the dozen or so Great Demon Gods watching the battle all changed, and they immediately turned tail and ran.
The 10,000,000 Ice Demon Prefecture Guards, as well as the Demon Gods watching the battle, were scared witless. All of them turned and fled into the distance, wishing they had been born with an extra pair of legs.
However, they were ultimately still a tad too slow. As a deafening boom rang out, the Ice Demon Prefecture Master’s body also exploded with a loud bang as though a hundred million hydrogen bombs were suddenly going off.

The dimension broke apart right away, and a gigantic black hole formed from the explosion. Additionally, the black hole was also expanding at a terrifying rate. In no time, it had expanded to a size that spanned a million miles in radius.
The Ice Demon City right underneath it was out of luck.
The black hole swallowed the buildings, the demons, the streets, the forests... It swallowed everything that it could possibly swallow!
The world became void of all sounds, color, life, and vitality in this instant. All one could see within their sight was just a constantly-expanding black hole.
One couldn’t tell how long had passed before the expanding black hole finally calmed down. A few minutes later, the black hole disappeared completely, and the sky resumed its original brightness once more.
However, when the surviving Great Demon Gods saw the sight before their eyes, all of them were stunned.
A gigantic deep pit that spanned a radius of 10,000,000 miles had formed in the center of the boundless Ice Demon City. As though a crater formed by a meteor crashing into the earth, there was no sign of life or any living being inside it. All there was in there was just charred soil and rocks that had turned into glass from the high heat.
As for the many Demon Gods and the 10,000,000 Ice Demon Prefecture Guards that had been floating in the air earlier—in fact, even the countless demons on the ground—all of them had vanished!
“H-how did this happen?”
One of the Great Demon Gods had a rather dazed look in its eyes. All the Ice Demon Prefecture Guards had died while the city center had also turned into a deep pit. How many demons had exactly died just now?

Dodola said huffily, “Who would be able to stop a mid-level Great Demon God from self-destructing? Not me, for sure! It’s already pretty impressive that one can come out of it alive!”
Meng Lei curled his lip grumpily. Then, he quickly teleported to the center of the huge pit. There was nothing in the pit at all, not even an ant, let alone the Prefecture Master residence.
This didn’t bode well for the treasury...
Meng Lei immediately urged, “Hurry, look for the Prefecture Master residence’s treasury for me, Dodola!”
All he could do now was hope that the treasury was on other half-planes instead and not in the Prefecture Master residence itself. Otherwise, everything they had done would really have been all for naught.
“Fine!”
Dodola agreed to his request. It released its divine cognition into the surroundings and started to look for it. Meng Lei also tried searching for it.
