It was because they had assimilated Chief God divine cores that the Chief Gods managed to climb on top of all the deities. But in reality, it was impossible for one to attain Chief Godhood through cultivation. No matter how hard deities cultivated, the most they could ever be were just Ancient Gods and not Chief Gods. Only those that had assimilated Chief God divine cores could become Chief Gods.

This led to many Great Perfection deities’ inability to comprehend supreme laws of nature at all, simply because the five basic types of laws of nature that they had fused together was incorrect in the first place...
