did. She used to protect me.” He swallowed coffee around a lump in his throat. “Dillon used to try and protect her. I was always hidden away. I was always protected, but I didn’t remember it being her. I only remembered Dillon.”

“You blocked it out.”

“Yeah. I didn’t want to remember my dad beating her and my mom throwing herself in front of him to protect me.” He plucked at the sheet.

Zane’s hand cupped the back of his neck and he pressed into the palm he drew so much comfort from.

“And now?”

“Now, I want to see her again.”

“Dillon wants to know if you’d come over to her house for dinner.”

“He does?” He lifted both eyebrows at Zane.

“Yeah.”

“And he sent you to ask me?” he smirked.

“I was handy?” Zane grimaced with a half-smile.

“You’re handy, all right,” he laughed, lifting up for a kiss before placing both empty coffee cups on the side table.

His mother was dying of COPD. The chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was a dangerous respiratory illness. He’d visit her again because she meant a great deal to him. He wanted to spend as much time with her as possible and he wanted Zane there with him.

“I’ll only go on one condition,” he teased.

“What’s that?” Zane tipped his head, looking so fucking sexy sitting there naked in the bed.

“If you’ll go with me.”

“I’d love to, baby.”

“Now, no more talk about my mother.” He and his mom had a long way to go toward repairing their relationship, and he’d make damned sure that happened before she died, but right then, he had other things on his mind.

He brushed his fingers through the dark hair on Zane’s bare chest and down the trail that disappeared beneath the blankets.

All he wanted was to make love to Zane. To reaffirm they were alive. To affirm he himself had survived the horrors of his childhood. That Dillon and his mother had both escaped as well. That Zane was alive and that…he was completely and irrevocably in love with Zane Gannon.

Zane cleared his throat.

“Yeah?”

“Move in with me.”

“Did you hit your head?” He gaped at Zane, his heart pounding in his chest.

“No. Move in.”

“You just started dating men. I’m your first.”

“And my last, so move in with me.”

“God damn it,” he scowled.

“Move in.”

“Stop saying that!”

“I will if you say you’ll move in with me.”

“Ask me in six months.”

“No.”

“Damn it.”

“Babe, I don’t want anyone else but you. I’ve been waiting for you my whole life.”

He drew in a deep breath over the lump in his throat. “Okay, but you’ll need to move in with me. Your house is in Oregon.”

“Perfect,” Zane said with a smug smile and tugged at him.

“Perfect,” he huskily agreed. Rising up to whisper the word against Zane’s lips, he slowly pulled back the sheets and covers before slipping his body beneath.

This man drove him crazy. Already moving in together? For fuck’s sake. Yeah, it was a big step, but they already spent all of their time together.

Hands ran over his body and heat roared over him like a volcano.

Zane’s hand snaked down and cupped his ass. Isaac undulated his hips and moaned into Zane’s mouth, kissing him harder. Their mouths fought with a ferocious kiss. He ground his cock against Zane until he groaned.

“Condoms and lube still in the shower?” Zane growled.

“Yes!” He collected the items and was back over Zane in seconds. The sexy fucker sprawled like a dark haired Adonis on the bed.

“My tests are negative,” he whispered, sliding his hands up the man’s thighs.

“So are mine.”

“Just lube then?” he hissed, grinding and imagining having Zane inside of him completely.

“Fuck yeah,” Zane breathed.

Slathering up Zane’s cock, he gazed into his eyes, watching the expression of pleasure tighten his face.

He lubed up his fingers, tossed the lube, and took Zane’s mouth in a crushing kiss just as he slid one thick finger inside of his own tight body. Zane pulled back from the kiss and glanced down to watch him.

“Oh fuck,” Zane groaned. “That’s so fucking sexy.”

Isaac added another finger to the first until Zane was panting just from watching him.

“You need to tell me if I hurt your ribs.”

“You won’t hurt me,” Zane growled.

Straddling his thighs over Zane’s hips, he reached back and position the tip of Zane’s thick cock at his entrance and slowly pushed down.

“Oh yeah.” Zane tossed his head back, veins bulging in his neck as he took him inch by fucking inch.

“Fuck.” He gripped the top of his thighs before lifting up and sliding down on that thick cock.

Zane’s hands gripped his hips as he pistoned down, green eyes watching him. Isaac let every ounce of need show on his face and in his eyes as he gazed down into Zane’s rugged face.

His thrusts grew harder, sporadic, and uncontrollable until pleasure slapped into his gut and the room whitened out. He curled forward over Zane with a low groan and pulsed his release on his stomach.

“Yeah, that’s it, fuck yeah,” Zane choked out and then grunted. The pulse of hot come filled his ass. Zane growled out his own release and shuddered.

Panting, he stopped moving and smeared his come between them with a slow hand.

Zane opened his eyes and stared at him through slit lids.

“Isaac,” Zane breathed and tugged at him.

He carefully eased forward into those waiting arms.

Zane

Several hours later found him sitting next to Isaac with his back against the pillows sipping more coffee.

“So.” He cleared his throat.

“What?”

“I don’t think your BFF is happy we’re together.”

“Why do you think that?”

He filled Isaac in on the morning after their first time making love when he’d found Lacy in the house.

“I didn’t even know she was in the fucking house,” Isaac growled.

“It’s cool.”

“What if she watched us?”

His stomach churned at the thought. “We don’t know that.”

Isaac curled his fists. “True, but it’s still fucked up. I want my key back.”

“There’s something else.”

“What?”

“She saw me and Jo at the donut shop on the corner.”

“What were you doing?”

“Making it right with Jo when I got back
