screaming as my mind was coming back to me.  "You are hurting me!"

I released her legs like they were hot handles, unsure of what was happening.

"Dammit, Joah!" Nancy screamed next.  Except I then realized that they had been screaming out in pain the whole time that I was cumming.  "That hurt!  What the fuck?"

I leapt off the table, apologizing for something that I didn't understand.  "What did I do?"

"You bruised my legs!" Lin said as she examined her ankles.  They looked fine, but the pain that she was feeling would likely show as bruises soon.

"You came in me so hard!" Nancy said as she sat on the table staring at her overworked vagina, possibly expecting blood to gush away by her expression.  "It was like you were trying to rip right through my uterus with a spear made of ice!"

"Ice?" I asked.  What was happening to me?  I had been feeling these chills ever since the shadow monster of the alternate space appeared.  But how did I send that over to Nancy's body?  Was my jizz so cold now?  Lin had said that my last orgasm was like cold icing on a cake.  This climax did not appear to be so sweet for either of them.

But dammit, it was the best orgasm I ever had in my life!  I felt like a king!  Right up until I saw how it affected them.

"I refrained from interfering as you instructed," Portia said from the side of the table.  She was within arm’s reach of all of us.  "I believe that was a mistake on my part.  All three of you need medical attention now.  I am severely conflicted.  I need to go back to my manufacturer for analysis."

"No," I said, still regaining control of my mind and body.  "No, Portia.  You are fine.  We are all fine.  We'll get this worked out together."

"Fuck, Joah," Nancy said with an accusing stare like a battered wife.  I absolutely hated that look on her.  "What happened to you?"

"The shadow," I whispered.  Then I struggled to hold back my tears.

Chapter Twelve

I didn't like it.  Whatever was happening to me, I didn't like it one bit.  Sure, I was a little excited when Portia revealed the strength benefit of my exposure to the shadowy creature from the beyond.  However, anything that diminished my sexual experiences with my incredible wives was not worth it.  They were the most prized part of my life.  Our intimacy a cherished possession.

I stormed out of the ship without telling anyone.  Soon thereafter Lin and Nancy called my communicator repeatedly, but I ignored all calls.  Eventually, I sent Portia a message for everyone to leave me alone.  Don’t worry about me.  Don't follow me.  I just needed some alone time to sort things out.  I'd be back soon.

The spaceport at TruPort took up about a quarter of the alien urban zone, though it was mostly open space instead of jungle.  The business district accounted for nearly the same amount of area.  After entering the gate to the city, Portia and I had turned left to find purchasing opportunities for our ship.  Straight ahead is where all four of us had gone the day before.  Where the bars and restaurants were, including the fabulous one built over the lake.

This time, I turned right into the unknown.  It didn't look much different at first.  However, after wandering an hour or more while deep in thought, I finally took in my surroundings.  I inadvertently had stumbled into the ghetto of TruPort.

Some trees had dilapidated structures, looking totally unsafe for humans.  Several of those had naked Peggies lying under them.  Relaxing.  Drugged out.  Possibly dead.  I couldn't tell the difference.  I did get a few stares from those paying attention that suggested I shouldn't be there.

I didn't want to stop abruptly and draw attention to myself.  It was better if I continued for a while like I had a purpose.  Make them think that I actually belonged in this neighborhood.  Then maybe take a couple turns to lead me back to the city center.  If I could just spot two uninhabited trees that I wouldn't mind passing between.  Almost every massive growth had undesirable Peggies hanging around.  Some injured, others sick.  Their coughs like a dog and frog hybrid barking.  Hopefully, I hadn’t stumbled into a quarantine zone.  Surely there would have been a barricade if that was the case.

Eventually, I wandered far enough that the population thinned out dramatically.  Almost all of the local intelligent species were on branches instead of the ground below.  That should have been a sign. It was then that I spotted the beasts roaming.  The predators that were responsible for so many deaths.  And I had forgotten to grab my rifle on my way out of the ship.

I slowed down a bit and avoided making sudden movements.  The feel of many staring eyes on me made me itch.  I assumed most of those were of the curious Peggies wondering what the fuck I was doing out here.  To them I was obviously looking for trouble.

It wasn't the first time that I did this.  Maybe it was my subconscious at work.  I recalled three incidents back in Richmond Virginia when I went for a walk after breaking up with a girl.  Those were relationships that I thought had more of a future.  On all three occasions I ended up in bar fights with strangers.  Once I took on five guys and sustained some serious injuries while beating their asses.  It nearly cost me my job as it laid me off work for two weeks.

Apparently, my body needed a good fight to get this unsettled feeling to go away.  I had big responsibilities now though.  A ship's captain couldn't just go around throwing punches and not face repercussions.  From the local government.  Maybe even from Oxeonn company.  Plith might understand
