window. He rolls the window down, and I lean in, kissing him. “Let go up stares, I need to ‘ease some tension.”

“You read my mind,” he says, getting out of the car. “Did you bring any weed?”

I briefly shove my hands down his pants, teasing him. “I got plenty, Greg, just get up there and get those clothes off.” I slip my tongue in his mouth.

Chapter 12

I wake up next to Greg with nothing but my button-down shirt on the after taste of booze and weed a throbbing headache. I noticed he’s hogged all the covers. Nice, you little shit, I let you in my backdoor, and all I get is no covers and a sore ass. The ringing of my cell cuts into my brain like a railroad spike. “Hello?” My voice groggy.

“Devi, what the fuck! I recognize this mousey voice anywhere, it’s my sister Tavia. “Where the hell were you last night? And please don’t tell me you missed his concert because you were laid up with some 18 year old.”

I rub the sleep out of my eyes. “Some stuff came up at work, and I had to work over. Tell Raul I’m sorry.”

“No, you’re going to tell him yourself. Goodbye!”

I sit up on the edge of the bed and light up a smoke. I dial up my brother. “Yo, what’s up, Devi?”

“Raul, I just want you to know I’m sorry I couldn’t make it last night work got in the way.”

“Cut it the crap and tell me why you really couldn’t make it.” He snaps.

“Fine. I called up my FWB and partied all night.”

“Awesome!”

“Wait, you’re not pissed?”

“Hell no. I am all for people getting their high and fuck on. Plus, that place was a madhouse last night you would’ve hated it, but we sold out at least.”

“Way to go, Bro. Hey, talk to your sister, will ya? She thinks I’m a super-bitch right now.”

“Come on, little sis. You know Tavia is always overreacting, but I’ll have a chat with her and tell her to mellow the fuck out. Listen, I know you support me. You don’t need to trouble yourself by fighting crowds to prove that.”

“Thanks, bro.”

“Devi, for future, if you can’t make it to my concerts for whatever reason, don’t worry about it.”

“Thanks, but I still feel kind of shitty for not making it to the concert. I’ll try to make it to your next one.”

“Thanks, sis. But hey, I need to run my agent is here.”

“Take care, Raul. I love you.”

“Back at ya.” I hang up the phone. I feel the covers shift, and Greg raises up and begins caressing my belly. “I’m surprised you called me before our usual meet up.”

“I needed to blow off some steam.”

“Yeah, I’d say. That’s the first time I heard you begging me to pin you and fuck you in the ass.”

I giggle and mount him. “Sometimes, I get in weird moods and want it stuck somewhere else.”

He smirks and slides his hand between my legs. “You still in that, weird mood?”

I laugh and grab his hand. “No. My ass can’t handle another round.”

“Anyway glad you called last night when you did because I got finals coming up. I’m going to be MIA. So your bed is going to be cold for a bit.”

My face goes deadpan. “Oh no, what’s a girl to do?”

He laughs. “Something tells me you’ll get along just fine.”

“You’re right. I am more concerned about you. You sure you won’t get blue balls during that time,” I say.

“Well, it will suck not being between your legs for a while, but hey, don’t worry, I got porn. So who was on the phone? It didn’t sound too happy.”

“Just some family issues, nothing worth boring you over.”

“Hey listen, I wanted you to know I won’t sleep with other girls while I’m gone.”

I shrug. “For fuck sakes, man. We’re not a couple fuck who you want, just wear a rubber.”

“But I only want to be in bed with you.”

Straddle him and playfully slap him on the cheek. “Well, then hold off till your finals are finished.”

He yawns and stretches. “You want some coffee, tea?”

“I’m outta tea, so coffee it is.” My eyebrow raises. “Well, you know where the kitchen is. Make us some.” I climb off of him and slip on my back panties.

My cell rings again. For fuck sakes, why am I so popular on a Wednesday morning? “Hello,” I say, clearing my throat.

“Detective Lobos?”

“Yeah?”

“This is Oliver Helms. I’m a reporter from CNN, and I would like to interview you on the Moonlight Case. How does 2pm at Starbucks on Channel Side drive sound?”

“The last reporter gave my name out to the killer. Fuck off,” I say, just before clicking off my phone.

The last thing I want to do is give that psycho more fame then he already has. I look over at my clock and see its 11am. I reach down and scratch Isis on the back of her neck as I am leaving my bedroom. She reaches out and paws at my leg. “Aren’t we a little hyper today.”

She mewls and rubs up against me, pushing my arm with her front paws. She usually does this when she wants a treat or hungry or, like most cats, attention.

I enter the living room, and she is sitting by her bowl, meowing and turning in circles. “Hang on ya, pig.” I groan. While putting food in her bowl. “There ya go, amiga.” She lets out a loud gag as she inhales her food. “Slow down, Ms. Piggy.” I chuckle.

Freaking cat acts like it never gets to eat.

I walk to the living room and sit on my couch, flipping on
