cheeks, holding her neck pressed down until at last she stills herself. Or a female accomplice may at the same time feather her then untried cunny until she brings her on, whereat the gentleman is free to 'work her', as the saying is, and she receiving him with softer moans and final acquiescence. And, as may be guessed, those last two words were appropriate to the fate of Catherine. Huffing and puffing gently for his part, and urging her hips back- forth in rhythm with his vibrant motions while her eyes glazed over in the spell of it, Arnold released his warm sperm into her with grunts of pleasure that accorded with her own soft cries at being inundated with his gruelly juice. He ground his teeth, rolled up his eyes, rammed it full home and let it spout while Catherine churned her bottom urgently as though demanding every single drop.

'Hooo!', she gasped and hid her hot-flushed face, squirming tempestuously as he at last withdrew the long, thick, steaming rod that left her rosy bottomhole a-froth. Thereat, with a slight, mocking bow to Jane and me, he exited, I drawing the quivering girl's dress down again to hide her gently squeezing derriere. My arm was taken and Jane led me out, shaking her head lest I should speak a word. 'Silence is golden the first time', said she upon the closing of the door behind which Catherine was left to meditate.

'I suppose you were very quiet', I answered, not being able to resist the thrust. 'Oh, I was dear. Well-the first time, anyway', she laughed, and left all sorts of wicked pictures in my mind.

CHAPTER 21

There are avenues that lead to purposes other than the pleasures of the body, so I have been told by others many times-they having not the daring or temerity to indulge themselves as much as Jane and I. Doubtless we shall be called wicked, wanton, loose-but if that be so then there are thousands of us in the countryside where life is more richly lived than in the towns whose smoke and general air of brooding clutter throws a pall on all.

The Tangerine and its inhabitants amused us for a few days, but no more than that. If one is to be enclosed for long, it is better to be so in one's own abode where trinkets and mementos, stairways, corridors and alcoves such as one has grown to love, offer a more enfolding air of cosiness, and where each trail and step is known that leads to pleasure or amusement, even to recalling pleasures past.

George I was not minded to entertain, and nor was Jane. There were no male visitors-somewhat to our disappointment-and hence we decided to depart. For home, we said. We were not sure. A cab was summoned by one of the menservants-or the matelots as Arnold was pleased to call them in moments when he proceeded to play the oaf once more, which I regarded as an escape from his closed world. He was a loyal man at heart. I doubted not that he had grown tired of his rather florid wife who treated George as a male concubine and was not averse to taking one of their young maids into her bed for him, encouraging the pair to take their pleasure while she watched languidly and smoked a Turkish cigarette. He had, though, no bad word to say of her, and benefited much, of course, by sporting with some other girl meanwhile. Catherine was thus upon her back as often as she was on hands and knees, and thought herself the envy of the world once she had recovered from her initial trials-which, in her case, took but an hour or so. 'Father will be dismayed again', said Jane as our cab rolled along the towpath. Two rough boys threw stones. The cabbie cracked his whip at them and was minded, as he said afterwards to 'go and chase after them there ruffians'. Thus was I diverted from replying to her, or so persuaded myself that I was. The river lulled me with its pleasant sights, its trailing punts and rowing boats, as did the meadows and the trees on either side. Resting my head against the leather-covered surface of the cab's interior, I closed my eyes for a moment and then heard a shout. More rough boys, I thought, in the quick instant that one thinks, and did not stir. Then, however, came an awful bump, a leaping of the carriage wheels and a thrusting as of a great weight against the side of our conveyance. All in that moment I heard Jane cry out and then my head was banged and I knew nothing more. When I came to I was half lying on the sward outside, my back cradled by a gendeman who apprised me that I had swooned in the accidental collision of his cab with ours. Jane bathed my face with a moist kerchief while our cabbie was in perpetual argument with the other and our carriage door hung open, limp. 'A thousand apologies, dear ladies', was said as I took in my surroundings once again, 'My cabman's horse was frightened by the throwing of a stick by idle youths. I pray you let me attend upon you, for my house is quite nearby. My fellow will see to it that your bags are brought', the gentleman explained, though I took in but little of his words, my head still being quite a-swim from its knock against the window frame. 'Yes, Emily, it is too far to Kensington', said Jane, and helped me up, I being in that condition when one is neither here nor there, but relieved to find myself ensconced in a more comfortable carriage than that which we had left-and indeed did leave after the gendeman had settled with our cabbie who was loathe to see us depart so soon, for he said with utmost wrath that he wanted witnesses, reports, and takings-up by magistrates. 'The nonsense of it. The fellow's cab has suffered no more harm than mine save for a bit of scraping of the paint. The hubs but banged together and the wheels locked for a moment. I am terribly distressed, my dear, that you should have been the victim of such carelessness', the gendeman declared, and thereupon introductions were effected, he being blessed with the name of Lumley Harrington and being a doctor, as he said.

My head was mainly cleared by then, but I looked pale, they said-indeed felt pale, and perceived our two male companions in that fey and distant state that falls between good health and physical uncertainty. Mr. Harrington I judged to be in his middle thirties and of quite handsome appearance. His 'fellow' was of the same age, but wore no livery and had an air of ease about him such as rarely falls upon a servant. Being told to rest, and having had my pulse felt several times by a strong and kindly hand, I closed my eyes and allowed Jane to chatter brightly while we travelled on, though fortunately not far. In but ten minutes the driveway to a house received us and I glimpsed ivy-covered walls and pretty, trellised windows, stone buttresses, and an air of quiet all about, broken only by the songs of birds and some far callings from the river folk.

Within, we were greeted in a pleasant, green-walled drawing room by the lady of the house who introduced herself as Esmeralda Harrington and was little more than thirty, I supposed, having a look of Spanish beauty, with huge liquid eyes and a waist that a large man's hands could have encircled. 'Let us have you to bed and to rest', she declared, and I-uncertain as to whether I wished to lay myself completely down or not-permitted myself to be taken up to a bedroom where a superb half-tester bed stood, surrounded by the prettiest of things. Therein, without ado, she proceeded to assist me to undress, although I protested mildly that I did not really desire to be unclothed. It was best for me, however, she declared- took off my shoes and folded up my dress. 'Aha, you wear no drawers-like me', she smiled, and proceeded then to draw off my chemise which left me naked to my stockings whereat, to my astonishment, she fell to her knees and drew my stockings taut, I feeling her warm breath between my thighs. -'What a superb figure you have, such a lovely flat tummy and such lustrous thighs. May I kiss you before you sleep?' she asked. The side of the bed was distanced from me by several feet. I had nothing at which to clasp as then she moved her forearms between my stockinged legs and caused my feet to part while still remaining on her knees.

'Madame, what do you do?', I asked. 'Nothing but good, my sweet. Ah, what a plump cunny! Has it been well fed with cream?', she asked, I teetering with her arms clasped strongly around my thighs. At that she gave a little tug so that I swayed towards her and was forced to bend and place my hands down on her shoulders in order to maintain my balance. -'Stay so', she murmured and, thrusting up her face between my open legs, brought her warm mouth beneath my cunny and began to lick with such divine skill and searching tip that I all but swooned. 'Do not!', I moaned, but knew she had the best of me.

'Work your bottom, you silly. Have you not been tutored?', she asked in muffled tone, parting my lovelips like two fleshy waves with her long, pointed tongue and-at that-cupping my bottom cheeks and holding them apart. 'NO-OH!', I moaned, though not in answer to her question, but at the delicious sensations to which I was in thrall. A cry reached my ears from somewhere down below, and I knew it to be that of Jane. -'Hoo-hoo! What is to do?', I cried, though my knees were buckling and I was being edged backwards, backwards, to the bed. 'They are playing, Emily. Reach back your hands and touch the bed and bend your back. Spread your legs further-keep your knees outwards'. 'No, no!', I moaned, but even so my legs were scissored, and in a moment the curious posture was taken up (for I could not help myself), I being arched right back and so my belly and my quim bulged to her as she licked me ever on. 'You will come in a moment-I can tell it by your quiverings. Then you will better sleep', I heard amidst the most succulent of sounds and the ever-twirling, seeking of her tongue. My fingertips on the bed's top strained, for I could not reach backwards to place my palms down flat, my bottom rolling on her hands, knees all a-tremble at her shoulders, while from below I heard Jane a-moaning and many rusting sounds. -'Come, dear.
