mom's probably wondering where I am." Ethan spoke, making Chloe frown as she bit on her lip and nodded. She knew that Ethan was lying and just wanted to get away from her, but she wasn't going to stop him, he had a right to be upset with her. "I'll see you tomorrow?" Chloe asked.

"I don't know, I might be a bit busy tomorrow." Ethan rubbed at his arm. Chloe hung her head low, just the other day Ethan had said that he was free and that Chloe could come over to his house too just chill with him. "Oh."

"I'll call you tonight, okay?" Ethan spoke and Chloe nodded. And that night as she waited eagerly with her phone on her nightstand, the time had passed and she drifted to sleep without receiving a phone call from Ethan like he said.

Chapter 20

"I think I'm going to go study in my room," Ethan mumbled to his mother before looking Chloe into the eyes, "Alone." He gathered his books and fled from the table, hearing the loud slam of his bedroom door indicating that he didn't want to be bothered by anyone- Especially Chloe.

"Did something happen between you two that I missed?" His mother asked Chloe, grading her paper that she had just finished. Chloe sighed as she leaned back into the hard wooden chair, wishing she wasn't in such a deep mess.

"This guy I know kind of brought up some old stuff about me in front of Ethan and it was just- I don't know I guess Ethan just needs some time to himself." Chloe lamely spoke. She wasn't going to go and admit to his mother that she had been sleeping around with her therapist, she didn't even want to bring up being in therapy because then she knows that she would have to answer the one question she has been avoiding every single day- why.

Ethan's mother could only hum in response as she handed the fully graded paper back to Chloe, looking over it and seeing that she got every single question correct.

Ethan's mother and Chloe went over her calculus homework, reviewing the mathematical concept for a while, making Chloe ultimately bored. She needed Ethan to be out here and entertain her just by being his cute self, but he had been ignoring her since the day he left her house.

Earlier, She tried to play footsie with him under the table like how he would to her, but Ethan ended up sitting criss-crossed in his seat, his legs high up and out of Chloe's reach which made her even further upset. She wanted to apologize to Ethan and come clean to him, but it was too hard to explain, she was sure that Ethan would think of her differently once he found out how truly her life was fucked up and she didn't want to lose Ethan who was dearly important to her.

Ethan had just walked out of his bedroom and moved towards the kitchen as he began raiding the cabinets for some food, to be specific, Nutella.

"So, have you applied to any colleges yet?" Ethan's mother asked Chloe.

"Yes, actually, Ethan and I were looking at some California universities, it seems really fun there. And if that doesn't work out, I've also applied to go to New York." Chloe mumbled and Ethan dropped all the food in his hand, his eyes bulging as he turned around, looking at Chloe.

Even with being angry at Chloe now, He knew they were going to have a future together and wanted to go to the same college so that they could be with each other still, he didn't want her to leave to new York- to leave him. But little did he know that she had done this out of sadness, thinking that Ethan was pretty much done with her and that he wouldn't want her following him to college so she applied for somewhere else opposite of where he had been wanting to go.

"New York is very fun, I’ll have you know I went there and I swear I fell in love with the place. The shops are to die for." Ethan's mother smiled, thinking of her first trip to New York. Chloe could feel a small smile rising to her face as she imagined herself on the busy streets of the city with shopping bags filled in her arms.

Taken out of her day dreams by the large grandfather clock chiming, she looked at the time and muttered a soft cursed word. She hadn't noticed that she had lost track of time and had been over at Ethan's house for too long. She was supposed to be at Robert's house for their session.

"What is, dear?"

"I'm late for this- uhh- this therapy session thing I have to go. I didn't realize it was almost three." She gathered up her things into her bag as she got up from the table.

"You attend therapy? For what?" Ethan's mother asked.

"She's addicted to sex, mom." Ethan chimed in, dipping his spoon back into the Nutella jar as he stared at rosemary with no emotion. Chloe couldn't bear to look at his mother, not wanting to see the judgmental stare as she shook her head at Ethan.

"You know I'm not in therapy because of that, Ethan." Chloe quietly spoke. Ethan could only scoff as he set his the jar down and crossed his arms, staring at Chloe with such a strange look in his eyes.

"Do I?"

Chloe sighed, not even bothering to bid a goodbye as she left the house, getting into her Volkswagen and driving to Robert's house where he had been waiting for her for the past fifteen minutes. When she arrived, Robert was already hard and stroking himself while he sat at the foot of his bed. Even with that being said, Chloe had completely ignored it and asked if he could put some clothes on and if they could have a normal therapy session for once. She really needed someone to talk to about
