class, while another sat outside her classroom every single day. It was something the other kids talked badly about behind her back. Everyone thought she felt as if she was better than them, and that wasn’t the case at all. If only they knew how jealous she was of their normal lives. After a lot of pleading and begging, Tiara talked her father into cutting back on his extreme measures, and he had finally agreed to let her go to school without being followed around by his security. Blake wasn’t too crazy about it, but he decided to compromise with his daughter. Instead of having someone walk her to class every day like a baby, they could just patrol the whole school while she was there. She told him she was almost a grown woman, and she needed to find her own sense of independence. It was hard to do that when everywhere she looked she was reminded of who her father was—and so was everyone else.

She refused to graduate high school without retaining any of the memories of a normal teenage girl. She vowed that her senior year would be different and, so far, it had been. She was enjoying her year thus far and had even figured out clever ways to sneak past her father’s security goons so she could have some real fun with her friends and not have to worry about it all getting back to her father. Tiara wasn’t a bad kid, but since school was the only time she really had to herself without having so many people peering over her every move, she took advantage of it. She often skipped class to hang out with her friends and do other things that she had no business doing.

Tiara walked into her first class, English, and shined her perfect teeth at Brandy before they both made their way to their side-by-side desks in the back of the classroom. Tiara started to make her way to the back of the classroom when she heard a loud whisper near her. She looked to her right and saw one of the girls, Ericka Towns.

“Here comes little miss prissy bitch,” Ericka whispered to her friend. Ericka had hated Tiara since the first day Tiara started attending school there. Ericka had made the mistake of thinking that she and Tiara were in a competition. Unfortunately for her, Tiara had no competition. Ericka was just another hating-ass bitch like the next. Tiara decided not to acknowledge what she’d heard and instead, she walked passed Ericka, winked, and blew her a kiss before continuing on her way toward her desk.

“Stevelle beat the hell out of Marco!” Brandy whispered as soon as they sat down.

“Girl! With his skinny self.” Tiara shook her head tucking her hair behind her ear. “Crazy thing is ole girl ain’t even that bad.”

“On my mom she’s not,” Brandy said. “I heard about their beef yesterday and couldn’t believe it was over Najay. That bitch ass is flatter than a flapjack.”

The girls shared a giggle.

“Hey, girl! Why didn’t you call me back last night?” Brandy inquired.

Tiara thought back to the night before and how she’d gotten off the phone with Brandy so that she could watch porn and pleasure herself. After she had the most extreme orgasm ever, she passed out and hadn’t woken up until Stephanie came in her room.

“I had some business to handle,” Tiara said with a sly smile, and Brandy burst out laughing.

“Oh my God, girl,” Brandy said, using her hand to wipe the tears from her eyes. “You are nasty. You need to just get some dick and stop playing with yourself. Literally!”

Tiara laughed too.

“It’s not exactly that easy. You know who my daddy is.” Tiara gave Brandy a knowing look. “He would kill me and whatever ingrate stuck his little penis in my coochie.”

“Ti Ti!” Brandy laughed again. That time it made their teacher look their way.

“Are you ladies done talking so can I begin my lesson . .. Unless one of you wants to come up here and teach the class instead?”

“Sorry, Mrs. Ross,” Brandy said. “We’ll stop talking.”

Mrs. Ross’s eyes remained on Tiara, and she continued to glare at her. Tiara, already knowing where her teacher’s dislike for her stemmed from, jerked her neck in disrespect and rolled her eyes.

“Is there a problem, Mrs. Ross?” Tiara asked. “We already said we were done talking. You can teach now.”

Mrs. Ross curled her lip, and suddenly the whole class got quiet. She walked to the back of the class until she was directly in front of Tiara.

“Listen here, young lady,” she said to the young girl. “I don’t care who your father is outside of this classroom, but while you are here, you won’t receive any special treatment. Do you understand me?”

Tiara looked at her like she was a joke.

“Do you understand?” Mrs. Ross raised her voice.

“Am I supposed to say, ‘Yes, ma’am’?” Tiara snapped back. “Because if that’s the response you’re hoping for, you can just cut it. You can teach the class, though.”

“Get out of my classroom, now!” Mrs. Ross yelled and pointed at the door, offended by the audacity of Tiara’s words.

“Again?” Brandy said. “She didn’t even do nothing!”

“It’s cool, B,” Tiara, who hadn’t even gotten settled in her seat, stood up and said. “I know what this is really about.” She threw her book bag over her shoulder and got in Mrs. Ross’s face. “This bitch has had it out for me since the first day of school. What? You think I don’t know what your problem with me is? You just mad because my father fucked you a long time ago, and then stopped returning your calls.”

Mrs. Ross gasped and looked at Tiara like she wanted to smack the smug look from her pretty little face.

“Damn,” Tiara taunted. “I hit that nerve, huh? My mother told me all about you. Why do you think that whenever you get the principal to call home about me, she doesn’t do
