Camilla, I only had her first name, so finding her would be next to impossible. I didn’t bother putting on shoes or a shirt. I left the room to find Serafina standing outside my door.
“What’s up, Pres?” She was standing in the hall in her skimpy panties and a tank top, holding a gun by her side.
“Did you see Twistie leave?”
She quirked a brow and gave me a look that clearly said, seriously. “No, your mantrum woke me up.”
“Don’t start with me, Fina. My mate is out there, and I have no fucking clue where to find her.”
“What’s her name? We can get Router to find her.”
I cursed and raked my fingers through my hair. All I had to go off of was her first name, and that her dad was dead. I didn’t even know what kind of animal she was to ask around for family groups in the area. She was gone.
“FUCK!” I shouted, not giving a shit if I woke anyone up. “Get Router and meet me in the office.” I turned back to my room and slammed my door behind me. The crack of the slamming door echoed and shook the walls, but I didn’t give a fuck who I woke up. Twistie was gone.
I took a quick shower and changed clothes before throwing on my riding boots and heading to my office. Router was waiting just outside the locked door; her computer tucked under her arm, ready to do what she needed to for the club.
Without a word, I unlocked the office and went inside, Router right behind me. “I need you to find my mate.”
“Okay. What’s her name?”
I sighed, knowing the information I had on my own mate wasn’t enough to really help the situation. “Camilla. That’s all I know besides the fact that she’s a shifter and her dad died at some point when she was younger.”
“Pres, I can’t do much with that. Camilla isn’t exactly an uncommon name.”
“I know. See if you can’t hack into the DMV and pull driver’s license photos.”
“If?” She smirked. “There’s no ‘if’ to that Pres. It will take a while, and there’s no telling how many photos you’ll have to go through.”
“Do it. I have to find her.”
“Alright.”
Ten fucking Camilla’s in the San Antonio area and not one of them was my mate. I threw the stack of papers and barely resisted the urge to tip the table over.
“She didn’t fucking come from nowhere. Expand the search area, I have to find her.” I was pissed and taking it out on Router. It wasn’t her fault, she’d done what I asked, but my leopard was tearing me up from the inside out wanting to find our mate. I hadn’t fucking claimed her when I had the chance.
“Six, you need to calm your shit down, now.” Serafina stood next to Router with her arms crossed. Her looks told me I was being an asshole and out of line, and she was right.
“Fuck off, Fina. My mate is missing.”
“Yeah, but she left of her own free will, asshole. She chose to leave the building. Nobody forced her, and nobody saw her leave. The cameras barely caught her. If she wanted you to go after her, she’d have given you a damn lead to follow.”
I looked over at Router. “Keep looking.” My voice was a bit calmer, but not by much. Worry and anger had me tied up in knots. There was a reason she’d shied away from telling me the truth last night. She was in trouble, especially since she stole the signet ring of the Demon Pride alpha.
“Walk with me.” I left the office and headed toward the main room of the club, Serafina followed behind without hesitation.
“What’s up?”
“Get the shipment up to Blaze. Take Craig, Freak, Wrex, and Clutch with you.”
“Okay. When do you want us to leave?”
“Wheels out in thirty. I want the shipment out of here because I don’t have a fucking clue what’s coming with my mate.”
“Still no vision?”
“No, just a sense of unease.”
“Alright. I’ll grab my gear.”
After Oz headed out with our brothers, I headed back to the game room. I was hoping she would show up again. It was a long shot, I knew, but until Router could find something for me or a vision came through with the answer, I was flying blind.
If anything happened to her before I could find her, I’d never forgive myself. I should have fucking claimed her and formed the mate bond when I had the chance. Next time I see her, I won’t make the same mistake.

Camilla
He knew. Malcolm knew I found my mate. I don’t know how he found out. I got back to the compound around three in the morning, and the second I got back, I took a scalding hot shower and used sweet-smelling body wash to rid myself of his scent.
“Did you get it?” His voice was calm but had an edge of coldness into it.
“Yes.” I swallowed, trying not to let him see my nerves. If it weren’t for my mother, I’d have gouged Malcolm’s eyes out long ago. I fished the ring out of my pocket and tossed it at him. He caught it in mid-air and smiled. It was the type of smile that sent chills down my spine. Evil.
“Good. Now, why are you so different today?”
I licked my lips that were suddenly dry, “I’m not.”
“Don’t lie to me.” He banged his closed fist on the table in front of him. “What happened last night, Camilla?”
“I went and got the ring like you asked. I want to see my mother.”
“You have a bad habit of lying, Camilla. Like I
