“What are you doing? He’s a grown man, he can fluff his own pillows. Stop looking so smug asshole.” Stonewall was grinning like he’d just won a blue ribbon at the county fair.
“Oh, I don’t mind her fluffing my pillows Wraith, she makes them real comfy for my head. Thank you, Miss. You’re mighty kind.” I shook my head at the big oaf before picking up my mate and taking her back to the bedroom.
“Call me Angelique.” She tried to wave from over my shoulder, but her tits had once again escaped the sheet and she was trying to contain them in her hands. “Will you put me down please, I’m perfectly capable of walking into the bedroom without being carried like a sack of taters.” She swatted my ass right before I dumped her unceremoniously onto the bed. She was lucky Stonewall was in the other room, because when I finally sank into her, I didn’t want anyone else to hear her cries of passion but me. Those would all be mine, for my ears only, damn my dick was like a fucking hammer head.

Angelique
“Well I never.” As hot as Wraith made my body, he also infuriated me at the same time. Manhandling me like I was some kind of frail woman needing to be carried. When a growl rumbled out of my throat, I gasped and placed my hand over my mouth. “I’m sorry, I don’t know where that came from.” Lie!
He leaned his shoulder against the door with his legs crossed out in front of him like he didn’t have a care in the world with his sexy smirk. “You think my smirk is sexy, do you?” Flames of embarrassment licked me as I tried to hide my face in my hands.
“Wait, I didn’t say that out loud.” His smile grew until he reminded me of the Cheshire cat, where he knew the answer to the riddle I was currently trying to solve.
“No, you didn’t.” He sauntered over to the bed and sat with one leg bent facing me. His smell was intoxicating, and before I could help myself, I lean into him sniffing. Lips crashed against mine in a mind melting kiss, tiny bites at my bottom lip had me opening to his tongue. His hand cupped the back of my head, fingers massaging my scalp. I could get lost in this man’s kisses, they were soft and sensual and oh so demanding. A groan of pain emanated from him as he pulled away from me. “Damn it, woman I’m trying to be good here, but you can’t be doing that shit.” I blinked up at him in confusion. What had I done? “You have no idea how sexy you are, do you? How innocent, are, you?” Wait, did he just call me sexy, me Angelique Morgan, boring librarian, sexy. Who did he think he was fooling with that mess?
“Look, I’m sure because of all this.” I waved my hand to encompass his whole body, because good golly he was fine. “That you’re used to women just falling at your feet, but your empty flattery will get you nowhere with me I’m afraid.” He huffed a laugh and shook his head at me.
“All of this,” He waved his hand at his body “, is yours until I breathe my last breath, yours and no others. I belong only to you, just like you belong to me.” What kind of backwoods crazy had I gotten myself into?
“I belong to no one, or didn’t you hear me tonight when Jackass McWolf asked me that question. I’m not some piece of property to be claimed. By the way, what happened to Jackass McWolf? And furthermore, what the hell happened to me, I feel…different. I’m not sure if it’s different in a good way or different in a bad way, but I definitely feel different. I’m rambling again aren’t I, I do that when I’m nervous or my brain starts to go a mile a minute. Sorry I’ll let you answer my questions now and zip my lips.” I made a motion of zipping my lips and Wraith started bending over laughing at me. So glad I can be his entertainment for the night at least.
“I like her, she’s funny.” Came a yell from the living room area, from the big man named Stonewall. I felt horrible for what I’d done to him, and I was sure it was me, who gave him all those cuts, but I still didn’t understand how.
“Shut up Stonewall.” Wraith stood up and closed the door, before leaning against the frame with his hands in his pockets with movements so fast I blinked, and it was done. He tried to give an air of relaxation, but I could feel the tension rolling off him in what felt like waves hitting me. There was something he wanted to say but was hesitating for some reason.
“Oh, just spit it out already, I’m a big girl I can take it.” Wraith let out a deep sigh and then began to tell me everything that happened that night. As he talked, I wanted to take back my statement, maybe I wasn’t such a big girl and could handle it.
“So, Jackass McWolf is dead? You killed him? And he nearly killed me, but somehow you saved me?” He nodded glumly. “But Wraith he was a…an um.” I didn’t want to say it because I was so sure he’d think I was crazy or something.
“He was a wolf, yeah Angel I know.” His voice sounded pained as he looked over at me his eyes shined brighter than before. “I almost lost you before I even had you because of that fucking wolf.” My brain almost melted at the fact that someone else knew about werewolves, finally someone who believed me. Someone who also knew the truth and could maybe help me with proving they exist. “Stop, Angel you have
