As I sat in Tyler’s desk chair, I realized just how easy it was for Kaitlyn to get out of here without anyone noticing. I hope this guy had better security that followed him or this was going to be as easy as breathing. Kicking my feet up on his desk as I heard movement coming toward me, I waited patiently until he entered his office and switched on the light. I wanted to recreate his daughter coming home to his men. Only unlike this gutless prick, he wouldn’t be meeting men I hired to do my dirty work. My lips curled into a smirk as he stopped dead in his tracks.
“Who the fuck are you?”
“Doesn’t matter. You won’t be alive long enough for it to make a difference.” I saw fear flash in his eyes for the briefest of moments before he stood taller, or tried to. For such a ‘powerful’ man, he was short as fuck.
“I won’t ask you again.”
“Good because I really hate conversations that go around in circles.”
“What are you doing here? How did you get in?”
“Wow, two new conversations. Color me impressed.” He shot me an unimpressed look. Letting out an overexaggerated sigh, I swung my feet off the desk, making sure to knock over everything I could. I was going to make this look like he was sitting in his chair, got up and collapsed. Maybe. That really depended on him and how he handled this. If he gave me answers, I might just go easy on him. I shook my head, I couldn’t even lie in my thoughts about that. I knew I wasn’t about to. I was going to make him pay for every second of his life that he had made Kaitlyn’s hell. “Fine, fine. Let’s start over. Hi, I’m the reason your dickhead hire thugs haven’t gotten to your daughter. Nice to meet you. You must be her piece of shit sperm donor.”
“Didn’t do such a good job with her stepsister though, did you?” I tried not to let the surprise show on my face. Amy was her stepsister? Did Kaitlyn know about that?
“Had I wanted to keep her alive, she would be. I’m not upset that she is dead.”
“You may not be, but I hear Kaitlyn isn’t taking the news so well. Tell me something, did you really think I didn’t know about you and your little band of wannabes?”
“Oh no, a man like you would know about us. Unfortunately for you, there are some things you don’t know.” I pulled off my glove and moved to him. I was on him before he had a chance to blink. Resting my bare hand on the back of his neck, I delivered a shock down his spine, causing him to fall to the floor. “Shut the fuck up.” I delivered a kick to his stomach so that he was now curled in a ball.
“If you think I have given up, you are wrong! She will be back here and I will make her watch as I kill you!” I kicked him again.
“You won’t get anywhere near her. Your guys will be dead before they get anywhere near her. Just like the last ones we killed. We had a lot of fun tearing their throats out. Keep talking shit and you will meet the same fate. I no longer care about making your death look like an accident.”
I bent down and searched for his phone. Taking it out of his pocket, I sent a surge of energy into it to fry the circuits inside, rendering it useless. Gripping his hair, I pulled his head back so that he was looking up at me. “Did Amy know she was your daughter?”
“Yes! Little bitch was my spy. She was trying to earn the love of her father by snitching on her sister,” he spat at me. I sent another jolt of electricity through him, he cried out. “She was just the result of a one-night stand. After her parents died, she turned up at my office. I sent her packing though. When she came back after Kaitlyn had run away, telling me that she had her sister then I knew she would finally be of some use to me.”
“Did you plan to have her killed?”
“Yep! She was of no use to me once I had Kaitlyn back where she belonged. Guess the little bitch was useless to me after all. She had one job.”
“She never would have gotten anywhere when I came into the picture. I didn’t trust her as far as I could throw her. You were destined to fail from the beginning.”
“This will never be over. You may kill me but my son will take over where I leave off. She will never be safe as long as we are both alive.”
“Well, I guess you just signed your own son’s death certificate then.” Tired of hearing this asshole speak, I gripped his arm tightly. I watched his eyes widen and listened to his heartbeat. I wasn’t letting go until it stopped. Even if they found him, it would be too late to revive him. Then I would track his son down and do the same thing to him. I didn’t care how many of her demons I had to slay, I would fight every one of them just to make sure she was okay. I wasn’t sure if I should tell her about Amy or not. I was worried that might make things worse. Letting go once Tyler’s heart had stopped. I got up and, using the layout of the house that Decoder had sent through to help me get in, I went to get this over with.
