I turn to Corrine. “It looks like we have a big party coming to the estate in a few weeks.”
She smiles, but all the color drains from her face. I can feel her pulse increase.
“Don’t worry. Remember those mad organizational skills? You’re good. You may have to organize some day trips—maybe a flight or two to the Big Island to explore Kilauea and shopping trips into town or maybe Honolulu, and we can get them the name of tour boats for whale watching, fishing, and whatever else might be of interest.”
She nods just as we pull onto the property. “Leilani has worked hard on dinner for everyone tonight,” she warns.
I lean my head back in frustration. I’m going to have blue balls all night long. “I’m mad at myself for not getting out of the office sooner. Ms. Day is good with the phones, but less so with keeping me on schedule. She tells me she’s not my mother.”
Corrine laughs. “I don’t think your mother kept you on schedule either.”
I shake my head.
We enter the house, and everyone is waiting for us. Two little boys come running up to Corrine and grab her hands to show her a LEGO building they’ve made. They completely ignore me. I meet everyone, and Leilani greets me with a lei from the plumeria tree in the front.
“Mahalo,” I tell her.
“You’re learning.” She smiles broadly.
We make our way into the dining room, where she has set a feast.
“This looks outstanding,” I tell her.
We sit down, and the boys try to cockblock me by sitting on both sides of Corrine. The table erupts in laughter.
“I warned you. You have some competition,” she says.
I look over at Brian, who’s mortified, and his wife Melissa is laughing and trying to corral her children. When we finally get to sit down, I’m holding out Corrine’s chair, but she starts to get up.
“What did you forget?” I ask in a low voice.
“My panties,” she whispers in my ear.
I look at her, and she’s smiling like the devil. She is the devil.
I can hardly concentrate.
“It looks like we’re going to have over forty people come for Memorial Day weekend, and some may spill over into the following week,” Corrine announces to the table. “What do we need to be ready for them?” She turns to Leilani first.
“I’ll need the help of my two daughters all weekend,” Leilani says. “They can stay at my apartment. The designer has replaced the beds in all the island rooms, so we should be good there. Donnie, how are the water heaters?”
“I think we need to talk about buying a few tankless water heaters,” he says. “They don’t require us to keep water in the tanks when they aren’t in use.”
I nod. “My company makes a good model. It was an acquisition we made for the electronic components. How many would you need to replace all of them?”
“I think six, but if you can point me to the website, I can look at capacity and then say for sure.”
“What about the dorms?” Corrine asks. “We’ll be putting probably six to eight guys out there. Do you need new beds and linens?”
Mr. Ono brightens. “That would be very much appreciated.”
The rest of the dinner has the team excited and working toward the common goal of getting ready for a big party.
After dinner, Corrine asks Leilani to join her and me in the library. I see her hand trembling.
I smile at her, and it seems to put her more at ease. “Dinner was outstanding.”
“Thank you. You’re easy to please.”
“I don’t know about that.” She’s quiet as she sits down and arranges her muumuu.
“Leilani, Corrine tells me you’re interested in the majordomo role here at the estate.”
She sits up straight. “Yes, sir. I’ve worked at the estate since I was eighteen. I know it well. I know what it takes to make this place shine, and the staff here respects me.”
“Would you be upset if Corrine were to work with you from the mainland to help with bills and to coordinate with you on making some of the bigger decisions?”
She shakes her head and smiles. “Corrine is very easy to work with. She is cautious with your money and sometimes understands that things happen that require kicking someone in the okole.”
“What’s an okole?”
“It’s ass in Hawaiian.” Corrine giggles.
“She’s pretty good at that back at my office, too. I have to admit, we’re pretty lost without her.” I smile at Corrine.
“I can see why. We’re grateful you’ve lent Corrine to us.”
“I’m right here, and not invisible last I checked,” she says, and we all laugh.
“Well, I think it’s settled then,” I tell Leilani.
We make plans to discuss a few more details, and when Leilani leaves, I step in and kiss Corrine hard. My hands explore, and hot damn, the woman was telling me the truth. She’s not wearing any panties. She starts to giggle mid-kiss.
“You’re very naughty.”
“Maybe I should be punished?”
“How many spankings does going out in public without your panties on deserve?”
“I’m sure you’ll figure it out if you can catch me.”
And before I know it, she’s running out the room and racing through the house to the master bedroom. I’m not even sure where I’m going. I follow the sound of her giggles.
When I arrive at the master bedroom, she’s lying provocatively across the bed in a black see-through satin robe and a killer pair of stilettos. My cock is instantly aching.
I stalk to the bed. “You’re in trouble now.”
“I guess you’ll just have to
