I felt horrified by all of this. This was so much more of my dad that I wanted to see. They didn’t even know I was there yet, immediately realizing that they were doing their own thing, off in their own little world.
However, I shortly noticed the principal start to turn her head.
“Who is that—”
“Oh my god,” my dad said.
As soon as I realized that they noticed that I was there, I rushed on out. There was no way I was going to sit there, listen to my dad justifying doing that…that sort of thing. It was gross to me, and honestly, I felt like he only kept me around to get to her. Maybe that’s why he was never available during all of the abuse that I suffered.
To think, the reason why my dad was never there to help me in my time of need was due to the fact that he was just fucking this slut, while I was left to suffer.
I hated this. I rushed out, hearing more of the jeers, the rumors, all of this, and it made me so damn angry it pissed me the hell off.
What do I do now? After all this time, after being used like this, I didn’t know how things could get any worse from here.
That’s when I felt it. The buzzing of my phone. It was something I didn’t notice since I got my phone back, and I did wonder for a bit if maybe it was one of the elites who had this number trying to call me to make me feel like shit again. But then, I looked at the caller ID, realizing who the hell it was, and my eyes widened.
It was Alice. She was calling.
Chapter 20
I stood there looking at my phone for a few minutes. Do I talk to her? Do I even answer her? I then sighed, realizing that this was indeed the best decision I had. I decided to press the button, noticing the sound of my mother fill the air.
“Oh goodie you answered,” she said.
“Hey mom. What’s the matter?” I asked her.
“Well I called because I wanted to know what you were up to. How are things over there? Is your father taking care of you?” she asked.
Jules wanted to tell her mother the truth: that her dad wasn’t actually helping with anything, and in truth, she was a mess. She didn’t have much support especially from her father’s end, and in truth, she was used by him. She wanted to tell him that she caught her dad and the principal fucking one another, and she had the fun of witnessing that.
She wanted to tell her mom many things, but instead, she simply sighed.
“The truth is mom, it’s not going very good,” she said.
“Aww. Do you want to talk about it?”
“No thanks mom. Right now I just…I want to know why you’re calling if that’s okay,” I told my mom.
I wanted her to cut the bullshit. But then, her mom laughed.
“Always the eager one I see. Fair enough, we can talk about this when you make your choice. But I wanted to tell you I was back in Vegas,” she said.
“You are?”
“Correct, and I think I’m going to stay here for a bit. The guy that I met was a bit of a handful, and I turned out he had about three other girls on the side. So I didn’t want anything to do with him after that. and after the, he pretty much told me he had no desire to help me, so I was on my own. I couldn’t stay out there, an di realized I was making a terrible decision by doing so. Which brings me to the next point, and the reason for my call,” Alice explained.
Why did her mom call her. She wondered this, and then, after a little bit, she finally spoke.
“Jules, I’d like for you to come back to Vegas, if you’d like that,” she said.
I listened to those words, my eyes watering as I heard this. I wondered if she really meant it.
“You mean it…right?” I asked.
“The offer? Of course. Id’ like for you to come home, if that’s what you want to do. You can always say no of course. I’d understand if you didn’t want to do this, but I think it’s best if I take you back. who knows what your dad is doing right now. it’s pretty obvious you want to leave, right?” she said.
Alice did believe that this was the case, and I could tell that my mom was regretting many things, and this was one of them.
“You sure though mom?”
“Yes. I feel bad for throwing you in that stuffy school, but if you want, I can even send you money for the bus fare. I figure you’re not getting much support from your father,” she said.
“Well, I thought he cared, but I guess not,” she said.
“Honestly, not surprised in the least. But I’m not going to get into the details of your father and I’s stormy past, for now, let’s figure out how to get you out of there,” she said.
“I will think on it. I’m going to probably leave immediately, if that’s okay,” I said.
“Oh yeah, that’s fine. I’ll send you some bus fare money, and some money for food. The sooner you
