Pulling up to the school I noticed that Ryder’s car was here, but him and Grayson were nowhere to be found. That was strange. We usually all went in together. There must have been something going on. As soon as the thought came I got a text message from Grayson.
Grayson: Stall Malia, please. Ryder is being harassed by Skylar.
Oh, fucking hell! Did this girl ever give up? Getting out of the car, I ran around to the other side and helped Malia out. When we started walking towards the school I saw that the majority of the people were already inside. I needed a damn distraction and fast. When we got to the doors of the school I pulled Malia into the little alcove to the right of the building. Most people only walked through here if they were going to the football field or leaving it. As of right now, it was as empty as a desert.
“Asher, what the hell are you doing? We are gonna be late to….” She didn’t get to finish that sentence because I pulled her in for one of those scorching kisses she gives. She tasted like mint. She grabbed onto my shirt and pulled me into her, which in turn made me push her up against the wall. I didn’t know what it was about Malia but I could never just give her a gentle kiss. It was always like we were in a hurry.
Somehow, sneaking around like this made me ten times hotter for her, and I started kissing down her neck that was as soft as silk. Putting my leg between hers, I started to lick and suck on her neck until I found her sweet spot right under her ear. She let out a soft moan and that finally got me out of this haze she always seemed to get me in.
Malia looked at me with her dilated eyes, and I felt awful that I got her worked up. I needed a cold fucking shower now.
“Malia, we need to get inside. I don’t know what got into me but we will finish this later.” The first bell rang letting us know it was time to get into school before we were late. Fixing the bulge in my jeans, I grabbed Malia’s hand and led her to the doors. I was hoping that the make-out session we just had was a long enough distraction.
As soon as we walked through the doors, I saw that wasn’t the case. Malia basically stopped in her tracks as she saw Skylar kissing Ryder up against the locker. Malia’s locker to be exact.
Damn it! Looking over at Malia, I saw her face turn from hurt to something close to murderous. Before I knew it, she was stalking over there, to do what, I have no idea, but I couldn’t let her get into trouble.

Fresh Rain
Malia
There was only so much one person could take. Right now, my fucking emotions were all over the place. With what just happened outside with Asher and now with my stomach in my throat, forgive me, but I didn't normally approach things like I did just then. Seeing Ryder up against the locker with Skylar kissing him turned my vision red. For reasons, I was not sure of yet. He wasn’t even mine and we haven’t kissed. I stalked up to my locker and pushed them both out of my way. Which, mind you, was not an easy task considering Ryder was all muscle and I was about a foot shorter than him. Guess they didn't even hear me coming since they both almost tumbled to the floor. Oops!
“Excuse me. If you could just take your make-out session elsewhere and not on my locker that would be great. Thanks!” I snapped at them.
“What the fuck, Malia?” Skylar sneered at me. Because it was my fault she was in front of my locker right?!
“Ya know Skylar, desperation is not a good look on you at all. So fuck you and move along, would you?” I said with a smile that probably looked as fake as it felt. I felt someone come up to my other side and judging by the burning I felt on my back, I could already tell it was Grayson.
“Ryder, I swear to fuck, you need to get moving now!” Grayson growled but I could feel the thundering menace in his voice. I felt like I just needed to get my shit and go before I blew the hell up.
Grabbing my books out of my locker, I slammed it shut and turned to go to class. Apparently, my brain wasn’t functioning right today because I ran right into a wall of muscle. Well, I knew who it was so I pulled him in for a calming hug, for the moment. I put my forehead on his chest and I just might have smelled him too. He smelled like fresh rain and evergreen trees.
Looking up, I saw Grayson eyeing me with a look that looked absolutely dangerous right now but I knew it had nothing to do with me.
“Malia, let’s just get to class and we can talk about this later, yeah?” Grayson muttered to me. I looked back at Ryder and he had a look on his face that looked an awful lot like regret from where I was standing. Whether it was regret from letting Skylar kiss him or for sleeping with her altogether, I couldn’t be sure. Grayson puts his arm around my shoulders and we walk to class.
Today, my focus was just not there. I had so much going on in my head.
Thinking about everything that happened this morning I forgot about my conversation
