- I'd rather you take me home and make me omelets. - I say whispering in your ear.
Ryder chokes off the bike and stares at me.
- Omelets at that hour? - he asks with a confusing expression. - Wouldn't you prefer a more sustainable lunch?
I'll drop a laugh.
- No! I prefer omelets! - I say. - Well, we prefer omelets!
Ryder opens his eyes when I point at my belly. He sighs by putting his hands on his knee and looks at the sky with tears in his eyes.
- Brooke? You're...
- Pregnant? - complete for him. - You bet your ass I am!
Ryder takes a deep breath, unleashes a scream and grabs me by the waist. He lifts me off the ground and spins with me.
- This is the happiest day of my life! - he says, while he kisses me. - I love you! I love you!
Never before has a happy ending been as perfect as ours! I think as I go home with Ryder, where he prepares me some omelets and we make love to celebrate one more fruit of our union. Who knows, we'll do the third!
