out of the room after grabbing my phone and room key.

Once I got to the lobby, I left out and walked down the street to familiarize myself with the area. I realized that I was uptown (Northwest DC) and knew that I wasn’t that far from a CVS that I knew was up the street. I quickly headed to the store to buy Tylenol and Pedialyte for this hangover and something for Aniyah’s lying ass. I never did this before, so I took my time to make sure I was grabbing the right thing. The cashier looked at me like he knew what I was going through because he wished me luck after he handed me the receipt. When I returned to the hotel, I stopped at the front desk to see how long I had the room for and what time was check-out.

I got back to the room and saw Aniyah still in the bed, on her phone like shit was sweet. I hope she didn’t think we were getting back together or making what happened last night a thing. I don’t care how drunk I was, I was never getting back with her. Hell, I honestly would’ve been happy if it was Mikayla in that bed this morning. Yeah, she lied about her age, but she didn’t play me. Hell, she was looking out for my best interest when it came to the pregnancy. She made sense and made her own decision based on my current situation. I mean, she probably didn’t want to become another one of my baby mamas, and she handling shit on her own. Aniyah’s ass wasn’t like that. She used this situation to her advantage and personal gain.

“Check out is in less than fifteen minutes, you better start grabbing your shit,” I said as I walked over to her and threw the CVS bag in the bed with her. She sat up, still naked, and pulled the content of what was in the bag out.

“The fuck is this?” She asked as she looked at the box.

“It’s a Plan B,” I said, nonchalantly. I took a swig from the Pedialyte because Roon told me it helps with hangovers then popped two Tylenol pills.

“I know what it is. Why did you give this to me?”

“I can’t take it,” I smirked.

“Wayne, I know that. Can you stop the sarcasm and just be serious right now.”

“Look, I’ll just be upfront. I don’t trust your ass. You’re acting too nonchalant about what happened tonight and seem to have an answer for everything. Whatever I said last night, I didn’t mean and was just drunk.”

“A drunken speech speaks a sober mind.”

“That’s probably true, but I know whether I’m drunk or not- I’m never getting back with your hoe ass. You cheated on me, had kids by me for your own security, and probably never loved me.”

“I did- I do still love you.”

“I don’t feel the same about you. I’m good off you. You broke my fucking heart, nothing you do or say will ever change that. Now take this pill so we can dip, I have moves to make.”

“I know how to take it. I don’t need to be watched.” She said with a sad face.

“Aniyah, did you hear anything I said? I don’t fucking trust you. Take this shit.” I growled. She looked at me then unpacked the box. I handed her a bottle of water that I also purchased and watched her swallow the pill. “Open your mouth,” I said. She rolled her eyes but opened her mouth to show me that it was empty.

“I’m out. I’ll see the kids this weekend.” I said as I gathered up my things and left her behind. At first, I did feel a little bad about my approach towards Aniyah, but she trapped me twice, and I wasn’t trying to be tied to another kid with her. However, I noticed that she never even read the instructions for the Plan B or asked me questions. It seemed like she knew what to do and was familiar with how it worked. I seem to keep learning more and more about her hoe ass, and nothing seems shocking anymore. Anyway, I went down to the front desk to check out. If her ass wasn’t out by then, that was on her. As far as the hotel was concerned, I came alone.

Roon called me hours later and asked me to meet up with him at one of his cribs. It felt like Deja Vu because his apartment was in the same building as Mikayla’s. I was hoping that it was all a coincidence and nothing else because I take any more drama or stress. However, as I got closer to his apartment, I realized that it was the same one as Mikayla’s. What the fuck?

“What’s up, fool?” Roon said as he opened up his door. We embraced for bro hug then I made my way into the apartment. Part of me was hoping that maybe I confused myself and thought it was Mikayla’s crib, but as I walked in- it was the same. I was nervous as fuck.

“This your spot?” I asked.

“Duh, nigga! I told you to come to my main crib. I’m barely here, but this is where most of the clothes and shit stay. I usually sleep and shower here too. Kay stays here most of the time, though. My grandmother finally got tired of her ass, so she’s staying with me now.”

“Kay? Mikayla? Your sister?” I asked nervously. Mikayla is Roon’s little sister? Kay? Shit! Did he know about us? Is that why he asked me to come over?

“Yeah, fool. You still hungover? The Pedialyte did help?” He joked as he plopped down the couch. I took a seat too because I felt like I was about to pass out.

“A little. It’s been a wild night. I got fucked up.”

“Did something stupid? Like fucked my sister?” He smirked. I shook my head and rubbed my eyes. Did he just say
