the majority of humankind face daily. Life has taught me that nothing in it is certain. If we live in fear, we will never really live.

So, for those of you who have known such loss, you are the bravest among us. I offer you my deepest condolences and a huge hug. And Brea, my friend, I love you.

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.

Author’s Note

Mad Dog is the story of one man’s lifelong devotion to his MC Brotherhood. As a legacy member of ARMC, he was destined to become its President. His every waking moment was committed to his Brothers until one day, his future walked through the door. This is the second book in the Angel’s Rebellion MC series.

Mad Dog's Note

My name is Thomas Brown, but I go by my MC name of Mad Dog. Most just call me Dog or Prez. Oh, I didn’t mention that? I'm the President of Angel's Rebellion MC. We're not the typical 1%'er club, we don't run any illegal contraband and all of our businesses are legal. Our club is strong, solid, with good men that I am proud to call Brothers.

One thing troubled me, the club felt like it was stagnant. We needed new blood and we were able to get that through a patch-over with seven Brothers from Spawns of Satan MC. When that happened, the club felt like it became more vital almost overnight. Everything with the club was going good. Great actually. I should have been pleased, yet something seemed to be missing in my own life.

I'd lost my wife, Beth, twenty years earlier and had been left to raise my son Beau alone. I had it good. So, I didn't know why I felt so unsettled, discontent, until I observed Viper, one of the newly patched-over members with his Old Ladies. It hit me like a ton of bricks, I wanted what he had. I wanted a woman to call my own. I missed the connection that being in a loving, caring relationship with one woman can bring.

I'd been single all these years and no woman had even remotely tempted me to change that. Then one night a woman from the MC's past walked into my life. She wanted vengeance for the deaths of her husband and son. ARMC agreed, bringing Ava into our world… and into my life.

Prologue

If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them.

Mad Dog

March 9th, 1998

“Hey pretty lady,” I said as I gazed down at the headstone. “Another year has gone by. It's hard to believe it's been twenty years now. I still miss you like crazy. Fuck, who am I kidding, Beth. I still have this fucking hole in my heart that just won't seem to go away. You're not here to fill it, Beth, so, it's like this void that is empty of life.”

I sighed deeply as I reached up and tugged my toboggan down. The pain of losing my wife had finally faded after all these years, but the ache of not having her in my life still lingered. She had been my best friend until the day she died. We had been childhood sweethearts. I had known her all my life. She was the daughter of my dad's best friend, David.

My dad James, along with David and six of their buddies, some of those buddies’ blood family, founded the motorcycle club known as Angel’s Rebellion MC in 1954 in Arkansas. Both our dads were officers in ARMC until they stepped down; my dad was originally the Prez, and Beth’s was originally the Sgt at Arms.

Both men are called by the handles they were given in the military. My dad was Sergeant, or Sarge for short, and David has always gone by Gunny. Our dads grew up together, joined the Marines together, and even married best friends within months of each other. Our moms had given birth to Beth and me just two months apart, me being the oldest. Currently our dads are semi-retired from the club and are traveling the States with our moms.

The club at first was to
