"Do not touch me or I will kill you." Her eyes widen slightly at my tone. She may be used to my darkness but she just unlocked a whole new level upon herself. One wrong move and there will be no stopping me from doing what I am itching to do and just shoot her. Consequences be damned.
Biting her tongue she doesn't speak as she takes a step back from me. Pulling out some pictures from the file Marina had left me, courtesy of Elijah, I lift them up looking at them as I speak. "So I got some disturbing news last night. I was informed that you have been working with an enemy territory against us. Do you know what we do to traitors in the mafia Alice?" I tilt my head to the side looking down at her.
Her eyes widen as she realizes that I know what she now did as she gapes to explain herself. "No I wasn't. It's not like that." She tries to get out, fear falls over her covering her like a thick blanket.
"Then what was it like Alice because these images of you with them are quite hard to explain?" Releasing the images from my grasp they flutter to the floor between us. Her eyes drop to the pictures printed on the paper.
"He said he wouldn't harm you, just that he wanted to get rid of Liliana. I agreed to help because I love you Nico. We are meant to be together, we fit perfectly. I did it for you, for us. They weren't supposed to attack your meeting. They were only supposed to take Liliana. I would never betray or harm you." She dares take a step towards me foolishly thinking her admission of her love for me will help save her.
"You know I could have found it in me to excuse you working with them, may have even just let you leave town. But you threatening Liliana was the worst thing you could have done and not something I will forgive." My voice is a low growl as my anger begins to get the better of me.
"Nico once she was out of the way we could finally be together. Can't you see she needed to be removed from your life. She isn't the one for you, I am but you just couldn't see it so I tried to help it along."
"I’m sure somewhere in your delusional head you believe that, which is why I'm sure it will be quite upset to know she is alive. That all of this was for nothing, lucky for you I was able to get to her in time to save her and she now rests in my bed in our home."
Her brows pinch at my words before she shakes her head. "No. They were supposed to kill her. They were supposed to rip away her innocence, they were supposed to rid you of her, I told them what to do with her!"
My last bit of resolve and tie to humanity snaps at her revelation. Hearing what she tried to orchestrate to harm Liliana, to take her from me, I lose myself in darkness. Rushing her I grip her throat pushing back until she slams against the wall behind her. Reaching out I pull out my gun aiming it to the side of her head. Clocking it back with my thumb before I hear the door open up behind me. Whipping my head around to see who the hell is entering the room interrupting me.
Marina stands at the doorway taking in the sight as she simply cocks a brow at me. "Am I interrupting?" A garbled gasp pulls my attention back to the woman in front of me. Looking back down at her I watch as she struggles for breath. "Nico? Before you kill her think about what will happen if you do it like this. Don't let her get such a rise from you. It won't do you any good, it will only put Liliana in more harm as you make more enemies." Hearing her words I drop my hand releasing Alice from my grasp.
She gasps and sucks in air as I step back from her, not trusting being so close with her in reach. "She won't go unpunished. I won't allow her betrayal to go unscathed."
A feline grin pulls on her lips as she walks towards me. "Ohhh, allow me the honor?"
Moving back further allowing Marina room she strides over to Alice who is still holding her neck. As she nears, Alice narrows her eyes and sneers. "What the fuck are you doing here bitch?"
"You have no idea how badly I have wanted to do this all these years, I never could stand you or understand why my brother kept you around. The fact that I am the one that gets to do this brings me more joy than you can imagine." A sinister grins widens further on her lips as she nears her. Reaching out she grasps a handful of her hair yanking down, causing Alice to stumble at the jerk. Cocking her arm back Marina slams her perfectly manicured fist into Alice's face before releasing her hold and allowing her to drop to the floor. She screams out in pain as blood begins to pour from her
