“Sorry. I zoned out. I’m ok.” Kyle pulled back enough to look down at me with concern.
“You need to eat. Your blood sugar is probably through the floor.” He grumbled. He followed it with a sweet kiss to my temple, then moved away from me and sat up. I wanted to beg him to just stay. I could have happily laid in his arms all night, but he was right, I needed to eat. I’d barely had anything all day, and even my rebellious stomach, which usually revolted at the mere mention of food, was growling. “Come on, Baby.” He was standing before me, his hand held out.
I couldn’t help the moment I took to just stare at him, and think about just how lucky I was. He was so handsome, his toned body clear to see in the gym shorts and muscle t-shirt he wore so damned well, his sandy blonde hair now a little longer than he wore it when we first met, all mussed and wild. His tropical ocean blue eyes were locked on mine, and all I saw in them was love, for me. He was smiling wider and wider the longer I stared at him, and he likely knew exactly what I was doing, and thinking, from the goofy expression that I knew was on my face, but could not control.
“I love you Kyle.” I said. It came out without much thought, the need for him to know compelling. I knew I would never get tired of showing all of my guys just how much they meant to me.
“I love you too Liv.”
I took his hand and stood with his help. I looked up to his lips, desperate in the moment, to kiss him. He looked to mine too, and for a moment I thought he may actually go for it, and give me the kiss I had wanted for weeks from him, but at the last moment he looked away briefly, and I knew he couldn’t. He was still holding himself back from me, and that was ok. I could wait.
“Come on.” I said brightly. “I’m actually hungry for once. We should strike while the iron’s hot.” I held his hand tighter, and started to move from the room, pulling him with me.
He hesitated for a moment, looking like he was internally having a serious debate with himself. Then he seemed to come to a decision and smiled at me with a nod.
“Yes we should. I hope Matt made something though, or you’re going to be stuck with burnt eggs, since that’s all I can make.” He joked.
“Sounds delicious.” I replied dryly, making him chuckle as we left my room and headed down to the others.

Thirty minutes later, with Keira, Grant and Evie just arrived home, I helped Matt set the table and lay out the dishes he had made for dinner. My stomach was growling angrily as the smells of the huge tray of steak enchiladas hit me, and Matt laughed out loud from across the table, obviously having heard it.
“Sorry.” I blushed, embarrassed he heard it, but he didn’t seem to care as he threw me a sexy smile and wink.
“Sit, Cariña, and dig in. I’ll call the others.” He said, then left the room to go in search of the rest of the family.
Kyle, who had been hovering closeby since we came downstairs, was the first to walk in. He took the seat beside me, and started piling his plate high without concerns of waiting for everyone else. That was enough to convince me to forgo my manners too, and give into my hunger. I moved fast, filling my own plate. I took more than I usually would, knowing I should make the most of my appetite’s cry for sustenance.
“Hungry, Brains?” Cole chuckled as he walked in, his hair still damp from the shower he had just taken. He’d been in the gym when I came down with Kyle, which wasn’t unusual, but I had a feeling he had been in there that afternoon because of the stress I had caused him at school. I didn't like that. My guys had enough to deal with in their lives. I hated to add to it.
“Yeah actually, I am.” I replied as I stuffed a forkful of the spicy goodness in my mouth.
“Jesus, really? Fill her fucking plate quick, Kyle. We need to stuff her like a bear getting ready for hibernation while we can.” I couldn't help but laugh, but when I glanced at Kyle he was studying my plate, looking like he was seriously considering piling it even higher.
“Don’t you dare.” I warned playfully.
“Livia! Can I sit with you?” Evie cried as she hurried in, a huge grin on her adorable face, and dragging a huge stuffed elephant along the floor behind her.
“Of course you can, munchkin.” I pulled the chair out to my right and helped her clamber up. She carefully sat her elephant between us, then knelt up to look over the food.
“What would you like, half pint?” Cole asked, appearing at Evie’s other side and grabbing her plate. He looked so sweet as he filled it with everything she asked for, then blew a raspberry on her cheek as he bent down to place the full plate before her. She giggled excitedly, a huge smile on her face, filled with love for her big brother. It was a beautiful thing to witness.
By the time Keira and Grant arrived at the table and started eating, I had all but emptied my plate, and was so full I was sure I would burst if I moved too fast.
“There’s plenty left, Princess. Have some more.” Kyle suggested, and I groaned at just the thought.
“There’s no way Ky. I’m totally stuffed. One of you will need to roll me from this chair.” I joked.
“So Olivia, how was your first day today?” Grant asked. I looked down the table to him and wondered how honest I really should be.
“Pretty good, I guess.”
