and muttered, “Let’s take it one day at a time, my sweet child, all this information is giving me a headache!”

“Okay, Mama Haga,” responded Mara and she continued, “Let’s start by writing down the prayer according to what the voice of the Angel instructed me. Then we will take it from there, starting from tonight, time is of the essence, remember you said so?” Mama Haga felt like she had no choice but to accept whatever Mara said.

For once in her life she felt like a little child at the hands of another child, who suddenly seemed more adult than she was and waiting to be told what to do, but she took it in her stride as she knew it was for the good of the entire population and that Mara needed her help as an adult. She could also sense the need for discretion when dealing with matters of such high importance and would do her utmost to keep herself prayerful and watching out for evil activities in and around her village. She felt Mara would need a second pair of eyes and wisdom to deal with the coming terror.

The pair decided to draw up a plan of how they were going to execute their prayer pattern. Mama Haga suggested that the prayer be written down on a very small piece of paper and kept in the inner pockets of their coats and never to be left exposed for all to see until they were fully conversant with it, so that they could then teach it to others.

They were concerned, however, that people might mock and laugh at them as they would appear as though they were talking to themselves when reciting the prayer – most especially for Mara who would have to practice while at school at times. They felt people might think they were crazy, but Mara told Mama Haga that it was going to be the obvious, but that she should not take any notice as the same people would later on come running to them when the going would get tough.

Mara told her as well that the Lord would speak to them daily and would give them support and advice on how to handle issues as they appear. He would speak to them in dreams and visions and if necessary, audibly too through prayer. Mama Haga thought it was going to be difficult to differentiate between who would speak to her.

She wondered whether it would be the Angel of God, Jesus Christ or God Himself who Mara sometimes in the conversation referred to as the Lord. Somehow, she was not looking forward to an encounter with any of them, she was terrified of them. What she did not realise was that God was three persons in one and they speak with one voice and there was no confusion. But poor Mama Haga did not know this and she didn’t dare try to ask Mara as her earlier lie about knowing God would be exposed.

Whatever was going to happen, He promised to take care of them and never leave them to blood-sucking spirits. With that assurance, Mama Haga began to put things into perspective and seeing the bigger picture. She began to feel more confident that the enemy should be defeated at all costs for the sake of humanity.

They wrote down the prayer according to what the Angel of God had said it to Mara, thus:

Our Lord God and Saviour

The God of the Angel Armies

The One who sits in the heavens

We lift you up this day and forever

To be our rear Guard and Protector

Against the enemy from every side

We need your Presence and Power

To take authority over every principality

And power of darkness

That is rising to destroy humanity

We call on you to fight for us and deliver us

Be glorified far above the heavens

Take all the honour and praise

Every knee shall bow and tongue confess that you are God

Let your glory and might come down

Let the Blood of Jesus cover us and protect us

Destroy all the evil spirits that surround us

Give us victory over our enemies

To have total dominion over them

Let your name forever be praised. Amen and Amen

After penning it down, they both looked exhausted as if they had already started interceding. Mama Haga was amazed at how much knowledge Mara had acquired over the years to be able to write down such words of wisdom at eight years old. As though Mara could read her thoughts, she said, “The Angel of God showed me how the words are spelt, he showed me the pictures of the words to be written, so I didn’t have to ask anyone about the spelling.”

“He told me he will teach me everything I need to know without me struggling about it. Isn’t that amazing? He just knows everything because God created everything and taught the Angel what to teach me. God is quite clever actually!”

“Oh, that’s reassuring,” said Mama Haga, “I have absolutely nothing to worry about now, have I?”

“Not really, but we have to work our own salvation with fear and trembling, we can’t be complacent because so much is at stake as it is. Let’s do our part and leave the rest to God, He is bigger than us and He has a whole army of angels working for Him,” Mara piped.

"Therefore, they will do all the hard work, all we have to do is pray and tell everyone about Him and get people saved, that way the job is half done already. He will then come and rid us of all evil and live our lives in peace. He promised of paradise after judgement. He said I can see my parents again and live with them as though they never died! Can you imagine that, Mama Haga?

“I am going to see Mama and Papa again and tell them all about the things that have been going on, I can’t wait! But if I don’t do what the Lord asked, I will never get to see
