He groaned in time to Sam, his arms trembling by Sam’s shoulders, his lips bitten red. Valen was doing all the moving—fucking Sam, fucking himself on Harris’ cock.

Sam lost track of time, the tension in his body winding tight, his balls heavy with come. Then Valen began to pant, his thrusts growing feverish.

“Fill him up,” Harris growled, reaching between them. He found Sam’s cock, stroked him steady and firm. Sam moaned, his body clenching.

Valen swore and thrust deep into Sam a final time. Behind him, Harris groaned, his grip tightening around Sam’s cock.

It pushed Sam over the edge, sent him tumbling into waves of pleasure. His fingers curled into the sheets, and a groan slipped from his throat. His cock pulsed.

He barely heard Harris come. By the time Sam recovered, Valen had pulled out of him.

“Take Harris’ knot,” Valen panted, rolling over onto Sam’s abandoned, sweaty spot on the mattress. “I want to see it.”

Harris was already starting to swell. Sam nodded. So Harris leaned in, fitted his tip against Sam’s hole, and pushed. It slid in easily, until his knot caught on the outside of Sam’s hole. Then Harris pressed gently, and Sam stretched around his alpha’s growing knot, pleasure rippling through his body.

They locked together, Harris and him. Sam’s body throbbed. Always felt good, taking his alpha’s knot.

“Fuck, that was good,” Valen said, his own knot growing. Sam reached for him, but Valen rolled off the bed.

“Where are you going?” Sam asked dazedly.

“Out for a bit,” Valen said, wobbling past the bathroom door. “Just thought of something.”

Sam watched him leave, then glanced at Harris. Harris shrugged.

“I think he’s been feeling a little left out,” Harris murmured. He rolled onto his side, taking Sam along with him. His knot tugged, and Sam moaned.

“Left out?” Sam asked.

“Yeah, with the baby.” Harris met his eyes, his smile bittersweet. “Never was in his cards. You’ve met his parents, haven’t you?”

Sam nodded. Valen’s parents had been brutal with him; he could see why Valen would hesitate to raise a child.

He looked down at his belly, the baby that Valen hadn’t been prepared for, but had accepted anyway. Valen was turning out to be everything Sam wanted—he’d stayed despite the baby, he’d promised himself to Sam. Sam’s heart swelled. “Valen’s great.”

“Isn’t he?” Harris smiled, stroking his fingers through Sam’s hair.

But Sam didn’t want Harris to think Valen was more important, or that Harris was less because he was older.

“You’ve been exceedingly kind to me,” Sam said.

Harris smiled crookedly. “I also want the baby.”

Sam paused then, meeting his eyes. He didn’t have to remind Harris about the risks—more than anyone, Harris had lost. He wore a reminder on his neck for it.

Harris stared back, his gaze gentle. There was no need to speak for them to mourn their losses, to know that this pregnancy wasn’t a guaranteed success.

In Harris, Sam had found someone who understood.

He leaned in, pressing his forehead to Harris’ cheek. Harris stroked his wrist down Sam’s back.

“Regardless of what happens with the baby, you are not to blame,” Harris said quietly.

Sam swallowed, his chest aching. “Yeah. I know.”

Harris ran his fingers through Sam’s hair, pressing a kiss to his head.

“I see why Valen loves you,” Sam said. “You’re kind and generous.”

“I’m also old.”

“And wise. Not everyone has that.” Sam chuckled. “You might be the only one of us who has enough wisdom to share.”

Harris huffed and slid his arms around Sam, his heart thumping against Sam’s palm.

The door opened. Valen padded back to the bed, a large box in his arms. The box was a bright yellow, trimmed with lace, a huge bow sitting on its lid.

“Now?” Harris asked.

Sam blinked. Valen grinned. “Yeah, I figured... why not? I wanted Sam to know that everything will be okay.”

Sam squirmed to look, groaning when Harris’ knot tugged inside him.

“Here, let’s set this on Big H’s chest,” Valen said when Harris rolled onto his back, so Sam could straddle him.

“I can’t see Harris like that,” Sam said. The box spanned Harris’ chest, completely hiding Harris’ face from view.

“Hmm.” Valen set the box aside, then slipped his hands under Sam’s arms. “Let’s turn you around.”

It was awkward, turning around with Harris’ knot still inside him. Harris growled, and Sam blushed, feeling every tug and slide of Harris’ knot in his body.

A minute later, Sam sat facing the mirror, his back to Harris. Harris sat up and rolled Sam onto his knees.

“The better to see you with,” Harris rumbled. “Let’s open the box.”

Rather, Harris meant, Open the box, Sam, because neither he nor Valen seemed surprised by it.

Hesitant, Sam tugged on the bow, then carefully undid the lace ribbons. Peeled away the paper wrapping, and lifted the cover.

Beneath two stuffed hippos, tiny clothes sat stacked in the box, each neatly folded. There were shirts and bibs, mittens and socks. A stack of onesies of varying sizes.

Sam’s throat grew tight. He looked up and found both his alphas smiling at him.

“I told Big H we should probably give it to you later in the pregnancy,” Valen said, his gaze warm. “But he says you’ll probably have picked some clothes out by then.”

In the mirror, Harris was smiling, his hand warm around Sam’s side. “I hope most of them will fit,” he said. “Sometimes babies grow real quick.”

Sam broke into a smile. He couldn’t promise them anything about the baby. Harris knew that. But this... Valen and Harris had been thinking about him.

“Thank you,” Sam said, choking up.

He touched the swell of his belly, felt his baby kick inside him. Landon could probably feel his excitement.

Harris wrapped his arms around Sam, straightening him up. Valen climbed onto the bed and sandwiched him from the front.

“We thought you might like it.” Valen grinned brightly. “Big H said we should include a second stuffed toy for you, since you like them.”

Sam laughed, his eyes wet. His belly pressed into Valen’s abs, and Valen pressed a soft kiss to his lips. “We love you,” he said. “And the baby, too.”

“What V said,”
