she thinks she’s going to barge in here and demand shit from me.

“This isn’t over,” Magdalena says as she tears her eyes off of Eva to glare at me. “We will be talking, like it or not.”

Mags turns and storms from my office, leaving a stunned and nervous-looking Beth in her wake. I snort. Mags is right about one thing, this isn’t over. Once I have things cleared up with Eva, I’m going to get to the bottom of what Mags and that trifling cousin of mine have gotten themselves into this time.

As security enters my office to retrieve Beth, I loosen my hold on Eva. I turn her in my arms and look down at her. The disconnected look in her eyes flays my insides.

“Let’s get you cleaned up and I will explain.” I sigh and plant a soft kiss on her lips.

I nearly growl when she doesn’t return the kiss with even a small gesture of receiving my touch. I hold on to my restraint and place a hand on the small of her back. I know my cum has to be running down her legs. It’s the only thing that has me holding on to my sanity.

The simple fact that I know I’ve branded her as mine several times since last night. Despite the conversation I’m having in the back of my mind about whether or not Eva is on any type of birth control, I refuse to ask her because I will never enter her body with anything between us.

I have never slept with another woman without protection. Not even my ex-wife, for as long as I was bewitched by her. Eva is the first and I plan to make her the last.

I lead Eva over to the bookshelves in my office. I reach into the shelf where the hidden switch is and pop the lock with my thumb print. I make a mental note. I need to get Eva printed so she will have access to my hidden apartment over my office.

There are few who know of the hidden panel or my apartment. I look down at Eva, watching her reaction to me opening the hidden door. I smirk at the look of appreciation only an architect at heart could have.

I can’t wait for her to see the apartment itself. I know she’ll love it. I’m hoping to defuse some of her uncertainty with something I know she will appreciate.

Fingers crossed, Mason.

Eva

I’m burning with anger and most of it is anger toward myself. I can’t believe what just happened. Just after Brick said he belongs to me, his wife walks in on us having sex.

He says it’s not what I think, but I’m not sure I believe that. Now that the shock has worn off, I remember the woman he called Magdalena. She’s the Latina woman I’ve seen Brick with more than once.

She’s not like the other Barbies I’ve seen him bring around only once. No, I’ve seen her a few times before. I just never knew she was his wife.

I feel an ache in my chest as Owen leads me over to the bookshelves. I furrow my brows at first. I have no idea why we are going to the gorgeous shelving. He just said we were going to clean me up.

I kick myself mentally as our mixed essence rolls down my thighs. I feel stupid and cheap. The soreness between my legs earlier had felt like a delicious reminder of last night. Now, it just feels like the sting of my stupidity.

Once again, I’ve gotten myself into a mess. King is going to kill us both when he finds out. I don’t know what I was thinking.

My eyes widen and I’m pulled from my mental chastising. Owen sticks his hand in the bookshelf and a panel pops open. As the door widens a staircase comes into view.

I’m floored. The staircase leading up to the next level is made of glass. Each step is backlit by soft blue lighting that illuminates the landing.

Owen lightly nudges me forward with his hand on my back. I begin to climb the stairs one at a time on heels I’m already teetering on. I gasp as the stairs glow brighter with each step I take. I reach for the banister and make my way to the top.

If I was impressed with the staircase, I’m in awe of the apartment. From the breathtaking wall of floor to ceiling windows to the seemingly open floor plan that reveals a kitchen and living space.

I say seemingly because there actually are walls, they’re just made of panels of glass. I have to blink when I notice the glass has been fashioned to separate the space without actually looking like it’s there. It’s simply breathtaking.

“The glass is designed to frost over when privacy is desired in any one area. Each panel can frost into a range of four different colors,” Brick says close to my ear, reminding me he’s behind me.

“It’s… wow, this is mind-blowing,” I murmur.

“I like a little variety in my space,” he says with a smile in his voice.

I turn to look at him. “Yeah, it seems you’re like that with more than your space.” I frown up at him. I didn’t mean for it to come out as bitchy as it does, but my feelings are still a little raw and confused.

I watch his jaw tic under his bearded skin. It’s like his green eyes blaze as he seems to reel in his temper. I don’t flinch away like most would do around him or men like King and the other brothers. I’ve learned to stand my ground around bikers, or they’ll run you right over.

Brick nods at his own thoughts. He reaches to lace his fingers with mine, then leads me up the hallway that has a view into the kitchen on one side and a gorgeous dining room on the other. As we move further up the hallway, I notice the glass panels in this
