If you run the scan and you don’t seem to find anything wrong with your computer, but you are still worried, then you can carry out some other advanced scan.
Perform advanced scan for Windows security
- Click Start , select Settings , tap Update & Security , click on Windows Security , and select Virus & threat protection .
- Under Current threats , click on Scan options (or if you are using the previous edition of Windows 10, just click on Run a new advanced scan under Threat history ).
- Choose any of the scan options below;
Full scan (check programs and files that are currently running on your computer)
Custom scan (this is to scan specific folders and files)
Microsoft Defender Offline scan (this scan should be activated if your computer, or could potentially be, infected by a malware or virus).
Click on Scan now .
