ruined this between Leah and I before it had even really started.

I DECIDED IT WOULD BE best for Axel to come over to my place for lunch, instead of going out. For one, I didn’t want people seeing us together and assuming we were a couple and having gossip spread like wildfire. Secondly, I didn’t want to risk running into Chris. And thirdly, I wanted to talk to him about stuff I didn’t feel comfortable sharing in public. I dressed casually in a comfy sweater and a pair of leggings, trying to not look like I was trying, which I wasn’t. I buzzed Axel up and opened my door to him. He was stunning as always, rocking a dark pair of blue jeans and a gray knit sweater, making him look all the more sophisticated.

“Hi,” I said dreamily, as I checked him out. My eyes widened at the realization of my own actions.

“Hey.” Axel smirked knowingly and with a sexy smile, he bent lower to kiss me softly on the lips. We made small talk while I finished cooking our lunch.

“What happened Friday night between you and Mathers?” Axel straight out asked me, catching me off-guard. I hadn’t expected him to bring that up yet. I felt my food turn to sawdust in my mouth. He knew Chris? I wondered at him knowing Chris’ last name.

“Do you know Chris?” I asked, my pulse quickening in anticipation and dread. He nodded slowly, examining my face. I wasn’t the best at keeping my emotions at bay and knew he could read it all over my face.

“He’s been a regular at Duke’s for over a year now,” Axel explained. That was news to me; Chris had never once mentioned Duke’s. I decided to be honest with Axel and start from the beginning. He deserved that much of me.

“I just got out of a long relationship,” I started, watching his expression now turn to surprise. “It was really a truly awful break up,” I said grimacing. Axel took my hand on the table and held it in his, giving me a small squeeze of comfort.

“How long?” he asked lightly, clearly interested.

“Over a year. I met him during my first year in orientation,” I explained. Axel nodded, processing all of this information. “He decided he wanted a break during the summer when I decided to take my intensive class and go to Germany. That’s when I saw a picture of him hooking up with a random girl. I was crushed, he had said we would get back together when I got back and he just needed time and then the day before I was coming home, I saw the picture,” I told him, I needed all my courage to continue. “That’s also the day I met you,” I continued, his eyes widened at my words and he removed his hand from mine looking hurt. He deserved to know the truth, I never got it and it hadn’t been right. I hated hurting Axel but he had to know. “Chris and I got back together when I got back from my trip,” I stated. “We were together up until two weeks ago when I found my best friend’s bra under his bed and learned that he’d been cheating on me with Chelsea and God knows how many other girls.” His mouth opened in pure shock and he put his hand back over mine as if to help comfort me. “Chelsea was the blonde I was with at the bar, we had been best friends for over seven years. I still can’t believe it.” Neither of us said anything for a full minute, his eyes seemed to just be calculating and adding up all the information.

“Chris is your ex-boyfriend.” He stated looking pale. I nodded slowly, wincing at the words. He swallowed hard and continued, “And I am,” he stopped short, looking even paler. I could hear the words in his head, “just a rebound, a fuck buddy to help you forget.”

“I’m not looking for a serious relationship and I’m not ready for one,” I admitted, cutting him off from whatever he was going to say and explaining myself. He nodded solemnly. “I like you and I’m having fun with you. I’ve never done anything like this but I’d like to continue,” I told him making myself clear, his bright green eyes grew pale and he hesitated, thinking this all out. I knew it was a lot to take in all at once. I felt my heart beat faster in anticipation as the silence stretched.

“Okay,” he said simply.

I quirked my head, confused, waiting for him to continue with conditions. When he didn’t, I asked.

“Okay for us to continue this?” He nodded, his lips tight, not in a frown but not in a smile either, he held a neutral expression. I really wished I knew what was going through his head. “Okay,” I said, feeling a little relieved but also uncomfortable from the tension in the room. We finished our pasta and I tidied up after us.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” He asked me as we stood awkwardly beside each other.

“Sure,” I agreed, hoping this would lighten the mood.

I let Axel pick some comedy as we lay on my bed. I was watching quietly as his hand moved up my leg to my sensitive area. I let my head fall back on the bed as I closed my eyes and moaned out loud in pleasure as his fingers stroked me through my leggings. It only encouraged him and he slowly put his hand under the seam of my pants to reach my bare pussy. I cried out as his hands expertly massaged my sex. His thumb circled my clit agonizingly slow before he stroked it and stuck two fingers into my vagina, simultaneously pumping me at the same time. I cried out as an orgasm grew and burst behind my eyes. No one had ever made me come using just their hands and
