shaking and I reach out to touch him, to provide whatever comfort he needs. I had no clue he would be so upset about this. But my hand pauses as I realize he’s laughing. He grips the desk and continues laughing as he leans in close to me, wiping the tears from his eyes.

“What’s so funny?” I whisper. Has he completely lost it?

“I guess you really want to leave us now, don’t you?”

I step away from him, my ass bumping into the shelves behind me. “What?”

He inhales deeply. His gaze is cold, almost cruel as he stares back at me. “The agreement. You fuck all three of us and you can break the contract. That’s what you wanted, wasn’t it?”

I shake my head. I had completely forgotten about all that. Things had been nice since that day out. Actually, I was beginning to adjust to the whole bro household. “Seth, I don’t want to-“

The bell rings and I straighten myself immediately. “Hi, welcome to-” I stop when I see it’s just Hunter, looking around at the place.

Seth glances over his shoulder. “Hunter, what are-“

“Hi, Rachel,” says Hunter, smiling while he strides towards me.

Seth barely has time to move out of the way as Hunter leans over the desk towards me. I cringe, feeling Seth’s scowl without even having to look. I hear him walk back to the stock room, the door slamming shut.

“What is that all about?” Asks Hunter, looking in the direction of the stock room.

I sigh and shake my head. “It’s nothing,” I say while rubbing my temples.

“I was actually wondering if you would be interested in dinner.”

“Oh?” I glance at the stock room, wondering if Seth is hearing all this, but Hunter is speaking rather softly. “When?”

“Maybe tonight?”

I’m already shaking my head. “I have study group tonight.”

“Then tomorrow,” says Hunter quickly. “Or whenever you’re available. Or not. I don’t want-“

I chuckle and place my hand on his, instantly stopping him from saying anything else. Actually, I had been meaning to talk with Hunter about his extracurricular activities. His hand is now healed, but everything about him seemed more sickly these days. I’m beginning to worry that it’s not just football breaking his body down.

“I would love to get dinner with you, Hunter. Maybe tomorrow night?”

Hunter nods and squeezes my hand. “Great. I’ll-“

The stock room door slams open and I see Seth wearing his varsity jacket, his backpack over one shoulder, nearly running towards the entrance door.

“Wait, where are you going?” I call after him.

Seth doesn’t answer as he swings the door open and leaves.

SETH

That fucking bitch.

I’m running home. Running as fast as I can. Probably even faster. Anything to get away from her. Rachel and Hunter. Oh, how wonderfully cute they looked. Him, leaning over the counter, gazing at her lovingly while she laughed and twirled her stupid hair.

And the worst thing of it ill, is that it’s all my fault. I told her if she wanted to end the contract suddenly, all she had to do is fuck all three of us. I didn’t think the bitch would actually go through with it.

I don’t want her to go through with it. I shake my head. I can’t think of Rachel. The more I think of her the more upset I get. Which means I’ll have to admit something I really don’t want to. I care about no one other than myself. Bros before hoes. That’s our motto. And Rachel has the ability to destroy everything we stand for.

I slam the door to the apartment open and waltz inside, downing a large glass of water before I kick open my door and dump my backpack onto the floor. I whip out my phone, wondering if a good Millie fucking is all I need to get Rachel out of my head. Millie with her huge breasts. Millie with her leg over her head. I close my eyes and try to imagine it, yet every time I think of Millie in bed, her face morphs into Rachel beckoning me towards her. Rachel with her head tossed back in sheer bliss. Rachel screaming her orgasm while her nails dig into my shoulders.

Rachel fucking Lucas after his rowing meet.

I grind my teeth to keep from shouting and instead kick the bed, instantly regretting it as pain explodes through my big toe, leaving me hoping up and down on one foot and cursing Rachel’s very existence.

She has to go. She can’t stay. Not when she’s making me feel this way. And she’s getting in the middle between me and the guys. I open the chat between Hunter and I and quickly type in: BRO MEETING. STAT.

I wait for a response. Lucas has seen it, but isn’t replying while dots are next to Hunter’s picture. I scowl down at the screen, just waiting for him to reply that he’s too busy with psycho bitch to come.

He better fucking not text that.

Instead, he responds with: WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

My hand clenches around me phone. I type: YOU’LL SEE WHEN YOU GET HERE.

Lucas still hasn’t responded and I don’t even know if he’s coming, which makes me even more pissed off. So he thinks he’s too high and mighty to grace us with his presence huh? I slam open my door. Rage brims through me, about to boil over as I stomp down the hallway towards Lucas’s door. I don’t even bother knocking as I slam it over, seeing him sitting on his bed while he writes inside his notebook. His phone lying next to him in bed.

“What the hell, man?” He says while pushing himself up, scowling back at me. “Don’t you know how to knock?”

“Are you coming to the meeting or what?”

Lucas rolls his eyes. “You must be kidding me.”

“Well are you or what?”

Lucas closes his notebook and throws it onto his bed. “I don’t know Seth. What is it about? You being a lying mother fucker or you being a fucking asshole?” I cringe, but Lucas doesn’t back down
