“Chris said he told them that but they wanted to come back with him.” He is making some coffee, I finish eating and put my plate and cup in the sink. “Your meds are over there.” He points to the end of the countertop. “Chris said to make sure you drink a small glass of orange juice after you take your cough syrup.”
I just nod and do as I’m told. I have no energy to fight right now. I take my meds and drink my juice like a good little girl, then I go back to bed. It doesn’t take me too long to fall back to sleep but it’s not a restful sleep. I wake up coughing and then have to turn over to get comfortable again. The last time I wake up I have to pee. As I’m walking out of the bathroom I hear everyone talking. Looking at the clock I see that it is after five, crap they let me sleep all day. I pull my hoodie on and walk to the living room.
Chris jumps up the minute he sees me. “Hey, I checked on you when we got in but you were asleep. You feeling any better?” He asks while putting his hand to my forehead. I’m still freezing but I guess my head is still hot, he keeps moving his hand from my head to my cheeks. “You still have a temp, did you take your meds?”
“Yes I took my meds, and before you ask yes I drank my juice too.” I grunt then lean in to hug him. Just him being here makes me feel a little better. I curl up in one of the over sized leather chairs and look around the room. I’m just realizing that Justin isn’t here. Chris brings me a blanket and covers me up. “Where is Justin?” I ask trying not to close my eyes.
“He took off right after we got here, said he had to go pick up a few things.” Scot says.
I just shrug and cuddle back into the chair. The guys tell me about the Coldplay concert, and Dave tells me about his family’s farm. I try to listen but I can’t keep my mind off of Justin, where the hell did he go? I close my eyes and listen to the guys talk but I’m out in no time.
Someone picking me up wakes me. When I opened my eyes I see Justin, he’s back. I smile but I know it is a weak smile. I lay my head on his shoulder and let him carry me to bed.
“You where gone when I got up.” I said once we both laid down.
“I needed to do a few things. None of us had the heart to wake you, even Chris agreed to let you skip your meds so you could sleep.”
“Are you hiding something from me?”
“Now why would you think that?” He laughs.
“I don’t know, I just get the feeling that you are.”
He kisses the top of my head and says “I’m not hiding anything, I promise. Now go back to sleep.”
“What did you need to go do? The guys said you left right after they got here.”
He doesn’t answer me. We lay there for a few minutes not talking and not moving. I finally push myself up so I can look him in the eyes. He sighs then says. “Okay, I made a trip to tomorrow nights arena. I talked to the manager and had him add a few things to our dressing room list. Things that will make you more comfortable while back there. Then on the way back I called Mike and had him find a doctor that will come and meet us before the show to check you over.”
I slowly got out of bed and just stared at him. “Okay, first what did you add to the dressing room list and why did you have to go all the way down there to do that? And I’m not seeing whoever Mike finds! How dare you Justin! How could you think that I would be okay with this?” I’m screaming but with my throat hurting and my chest hurting its not a very loud scream.
He gets up and stands in front of me “I had to see the dressing room so I knew where to tell them to put the stuff. There is a nice couch in there so I didn’t have to ask them for that, even though I was going too. I had them get an electric blanket and at least two bed pillows so that you can lay down and be warm. I made sure they would have the hot tea that you like, your oatmeal, and at least three different types of soup for you to choose from. Now about the doctor, I won’t take no for an answer on this. You need to be seen and I knew you wouldn’t go to the ER, so I found another way.” He seams pleased with himself on this.
I’m actually touched about the dressing room stuff. He did put a lot of thought into all that, but the doctor I will fight him on. “Does Chris know about the doctor?”
“No, but I’m sure he won’t care.”
I walk around him and out the door. Dave is sleeping in the living room so I guess Scot and Chris are sharing the second bedroom. I knock really loud before opening the door. Scot is snoring loudly while sleeping on a fold out couch that I didn’t know was in here and Chris is sitting up looking at me.
“Get up and come with me.” I snap at him then turn to walk into the kitchen. Justin is already there, he is relaxing in one of the chairs at the table.
“What is going on? Are you okay?” Chris asked all worried.
“No, I’m not. Do you know what he did?”
