as he went, which caused Allison to lose her train of thought, she lost the thought about making the room hot or warm, which caused Veronica to feel paler and shiver with cold. This caught Mrs. Jones’ attention as she saw Veronica looking very pale and sick looking as if she had the flu.

“You okay Veronica?” Mrs. Jones spoke bluntly. “You don’t look well.”

“I’m fine…. I’m fine,” she said as her teeth were chattering due to the cold temperature around her body despite the very warm clothing that she was wearing.

“You should head to the main office and call in sick, you don’t look well and why is the room so cold suddenly,” Mrs. Jones spoke as Veronica took her stuff and exited out of the classroom.

Allison was sitting nervously. She was so worried about getting sent down to the office too, which caused more thoughts to pile up more in her brain. This caused her to suddenly lose track of her thoughts, which caused the classroom to be surrounded by vines on the ceiling and it was slowly growing. She saw the veins and imagined them not being there, going back to imagine small particles but some classmates began murmuring about what was on the ceiling seconds ago.

Advanced Functions class was going fast, it was getting harder and harder for her to focus on what was going on. Her head began to read the minds of individuals around her, since her migraine was getting bigger, causing her to lose control of her mental abilities. She started to read the minds of the kids around her class, some thought about what the heck was happening to the ceiling. Some thought how hard advanced functions were but there were specific thoughts that students had that concerned her the most. Accidentally and suddenly, she triggered that thought from a classmate, forcing him to say it aloud.

“Allison is not smart. She’s just a cheater in everything, that’s how she gets good grades!” a boy in class said and gasped, suddenly realizing that he did not mean to say that aloud.

“Down to the main office now,” Mrs. Jones said without hesitation. “You got some explaining to do for that statement.”

Allison was shaken and grabbed her stuff, as she sadly headed out of the classroom towards the main office. She approached her guidance counselor and started to talk about what a student said about her in the classroom. Allison decided to tell the guidance counselor the full truth about the history behind that statement.

“I was bullied,” Allison revealed. “I was forced to do homework for other kids, to help them get good grades, they would threaten me if I did not comply. You can ask a couple of my friends, since they have heard things about me being forced to do that stuff in an educational institution.”

The guidance counselor appreciated her telling the truth and let her leave. As Allison exited, a trail of vines grew on the walls and ceiling of the guidance counselor’s office. The guidance counselor simply awed at amazement of the green thorny vines with flower heads on them, as she said aloud; “Never knew that was in my office or am I just seeing things?” As she rubbed her eyes and opened them, the vines suddenly disappeared due to Allison being far away enough from the office.

She ended up back in the main office waiting room where she saw Veronica, Aiden, and Luis. Trixie joined them a few minutes later. Allison asked; “Anyone got suspension?”

“Yes,” Luis, Trixie, Aiden, and Veronica all said at the same time.

“Let me guess, you got suspension too?” Luis said bluntly and pretended to yawn.

“Nope,” Allison said. “No suspension.”

“WHAT?” the four exclaimed as they stared at her in shock. “HOW?”

Allison explained to them the events and the rumors of what happened in the classroom, that made a kid say a rumor about her. She managed to clear up the rumor with the full harsh truth, that she was forced to help kids cheat on tests and do their homework. The four looked at her in shock, they all said they were sorry to hear about that.

“Sheesh,” Trixie exclaimed. “Highschool is a pain in the butt.”

“Sorry Allison,” Luis said. “You should’ve told us about this bullying sooner.”

“Yeah,” Veronica said aloud.

Aiden was silent. The four stared at Aiden, wondering how he got called down. “Let me guess,” Luis spoke elegantly with confidence. “Your invisible man mode turned on and you missed attendance?”

Aiden was quiet for a couple of minutes; “No. I got called down due to the incident between my father and me yesterday. The one I told you about. The school could charge me for assault or put me in juvenile detention.”

“God dang man,” Luis spoke in shock. “That sucks major time. Just be glad you are not 18 yet until next October. I’m sure you will have a reasonable case to take to court about this.”

“My Mom confessed the truth,” Aiden spoke. “She told them the entire truth that I did it in self defense after getting knocked out. Deep down, she knows that I have suffered enough from my father my entire life. I’m sorry that I dragged my life onto you guys.”

“Don’t be sorry,” Veronica said. “Were all here for each other, all of us are freaks, all of us are suspended except Allison. All of us have secrets well kept and should share eventually. Wanna head to our homes and confess to our parents? I think this has to stop, this mouse and cat game, I am too exhausted. Guys just admit, we are done for. Hiding and such.”

“Yeah,” Aiden said. “I gotta go see Mom, she already knows the truth about me anyways. Let’s go guys, Veronica is right, might as well confess to our families.” The others nodded and the five slowly left school from the
