SLICE! SLASH!
Heavy hits were being performed by Aiden in anger, since Luis was down, and he could not help them out in anyway. Veronica rushed to create an ice-based slide, to maneuver herself above the two Forsakers that were after her and Allison. She slid off the slide, creating icicle projectiles to penetrate the battery back of the Forsaker and struck it but did not look behind her.
SMACK! BLAST! SHOCK!
“AAAH!” Veronica screamed as she was knocked to the floor by an electrical shock that blacked her out. She saw Aiden struggling as he was getting ambushed by two Forsakers as she tried to raise her hand out, but her ice powers started to die out, as her eyes closed fully. Her body was no longer active, as her eyes closed and faded away from the world.
There was still one Forsaker left who had its machine gun still active with the battery packet. The Forsaker was heavily armored with a bulky round helmet that had two dark navy-blue lenses showing the reflection of the real world. As Aiden’s reflected face showed on the lenses of the Forsaker, he attempted to slice them with his rage and anger. But the last Forsaker with an active battery pack electrified Aiden as he dived to defend Allison, falling to the ground and yelling in pain.
Before Allison could react, three Forsakers surrounded her and electrified her, she screamed in agonizing pain, due to the electric shock traveling from head to toe in her body. She simply blacked out, as the other three laid there on the floor along with her in defeat. As she looked at the blast-door opening, she saw a big figure with a neon clock face as a head looking down at her. From a distance away, she could barely see a teenaged boy in plasma handcuffs as he knelt there in the command centre.
The world faded to black as she looked at the boy, “Jay…,” Allison attempted to blurt out his name as her eyes closed.
Chapter 10
Sky Conflict
Date: June 26th, 2021 – 9:17 AM
“There’s too many of them!” Lilac exclaimed as she glided in the sky alongside Kaleidoscope Girl.
The skies of Manhattan and the Upper Bay had Sparrows alongside with AI militants and Forsakers on advanced jetpacks that were powered by fiery blue plasma energy. The sky was filled with a lot of battle, blasters, fiery explosions everywhere based on impact, as the mothership began to ascend above Manhattan very slowly, drifting away from the Upper Bay. With Lilac’s hexagonal celled pink, purple glassed wings spanning across the horizon, she maneuvered herself around in circles trying to outfly the Forsakers on their jetpacks.
“Who are these guys?” Sandra spoke aloud, as she smacked and blasted one of the Forsaker’s jetpack causing the AI armored soldier to fall down. As she flew, her wavy curly hair started to get more and more messy, both Sandy and Roxanne were exhausted for fighting continuously the past entire hour.
Roxanne was drenched with a lot of sweat beneath her long brunette bangs, as she began to use more of her energy to raise herself higher in altitude. She was so fatigued, her arms were sore, causing her muscle cramps since she was not used to being this active ever in her entire life. She was breathing very heavily, as she kept raising her altitude more and more, which caused more shortness of breath. Roxanne’s abilities were not meant to fly higher and higher in terms of elevation but instead mainly to glide at the same altitude.
“WE GOTTA GET HIGHER!” Sandra screamed.
“I can’t,” Roxanne struggled to speak with her hoarse voice. “I will handle…it…. -“
As Roxanne’s energy drained out of her due to her speaking, she lost concentration in the sky, as she suddenly got hit by a Forsaker. A huge clunk of a metallic material smacked her face as she blacked out while being caught by another Forsaker electrifying her. She screamed in immense pain, as her wings unleashed all of its hexagonal cells sprouting out like an exploding nebulous star, which had over hundreds of projectiles of hexagonal glass cells.
She struggled as the Forsaker was electrifying her. She tried to fly higher and higher, trying to yell out Sandra’s name for help. But it was too late, she simply faded out as she closed her eyes and was grabbed by the Forsaker, taken to the mothership. Sandy witnessed Roxanne from a distance as her pink, purple essence disappeared from her, being inactive from a distance away, as she dodged the glass projectiles seconds ago, that almost penetrated her glasses. The shine of the glass hexagonal shard reflected the sunlight and back onto Sandra’s Kaleidoscopic glasses which temporary blinded her as she tried to focus on the sky, with a Forsaker along with a couple of AI militants ambushing her.
Sandy flew towards Roxanne to aid her but was stopped by a squadron of militants with their jetpacks along with a couple of Sparrows. She thrust with her energy, to fly higher and higher up in altitude, to try to outfly them. With Sandra’s thrust of flight ability, she tiredly flew through the atmospheric layers to try to escape these AI militants and see if their jetpacks would not make it to the Exosphere potentially. Flew through atmosphere by atmosphere, as swiftly as
