As he’d leveled, he learned a few more patterns. He could now make a belt with a built in storage pouch. This allowed him to discard his old bag and was much easier to carry around. A leather coif adorned his head for a small amount of added protection, and a set of leather bracers rounded out the ensemble. Now fully equipped, his focus shifted to selling off the excess. This led to a quick influx of coins.
The prices he received for the pieces of armor astonished him. The first Basic Leather Jerkin he sold went for 1 silver and 40 copper. It sounded insane to him at first. The hides weren’t that expensive. As a matter of fact, he could buy all the materials required to make the armor from Ramma for 70 copper. The profit margin made no sense to him with the short time he could finish it.
The situation clarified itself as he watched the townspeople do their work. They couldn’t make items the way he did. They had to do the entire process in the traditional manner. That also explained why Ramma bothered to stretch hides on racks. His crafting speed gave him a distinct advantage, and he quickly saw how much a Reborn could change a town.
The prices fell with every piece he made, though. Supply and demand must’ve played a part in this. He’d sell a few pieces and then go back out on hunting missions. When he returned, he’d see his armor on a guard or a townsman. They were investing and buying them from Ramma almost as fast as he sold them. Eventually, there would be no more demand.
Atlas finished one final squirrel and looked at his notifications for the day.

It took plenty of work, but he’d hit level 5. He tried to focus on the casting aspect of his class, even though he relied on his staff more than his magic. Atlas assigned the 6 points as he received them. The first two went into Constitution and Intellect. The second two into Intellect and Spirit. The last two he dropped into Constitution and Spirit, bringing all three stats up 2 points. This also bumped up his HP and Mana pools to 80.
Atlas scoured the town but couldn’t find any more quests, and Ramma had no more patterns he could learn. His crafting work left him with a hefty 8 silver and 10 copper. This was after he spent the money he needed for supplies, and he even learned Blade Chase and Charge from Leo. He didn’t learn Fallback yet. Wanted to save some money. Charge had been invaluable for him to get a quick shot on the enemy. Best yet, after he used it, he could immediately transition into a two hit combo since it was an opening move. Blade Chase he had used little. The monsters were so weak compared to him now that they usually died too fast for him to counter. It also meant he was getting tiny amounts of experience for monster kills now compared to what he needed to advance levels.
All things considered, it was time for him to move zones. He strode into Master Longstride’s building and found the druid.
“Greetings Master Longstride.”
“Welcome back, Atlas. How fares the hunting? Looks like you’ve done well and reached level 5.”
“It’s been going smoothly. I think it’s time for me to move on though. I’m not getting much experience for monster kills and can’t find any more quests in town,” Atlas told him.
“I’d imagine so. The experience just can’t keep up as the requirements get higher. Quest zones are also designed for levels and this one caps at level 5. You could stay here and grind animals all day but you’d never learn anymore new skills and it would take damnably long. Looks like you need to make the trek to Lairthyn. Would you like to learn Entangle and Nurture before you go? A healing spell could be very useful.”
“Of course. Thank you for reminding me,” Atlas told him. He felt foolish that he forgot about his class spells.
Master Longstride waved a hand in his direction, and the menu popped up. He selected Entangle and Nurture and hit Learn. The surge of magical power filled him, and his body felt light and rejuvenated.

“What’s the best way to get to Lairthyn?” Atlas asked.
“Northwest of here you’ll find a worn path that leads directly to it. No doubt you’ve crossed it while exploring and hunting around town.”
“Sounds familiar,” Atlas said as he searched his minimap for the road in question, “Thank you Master Longstride. Hopefully, we’ll meet again.”
“I’m sure we will. I do like to travel from time to time,” he said as he walked over to a small desk in the corner and rummaged through the drawers, “I figured this day was coming soon so I wrote an introduction letter for you to Master Proth. Deliver this to him in Lairthyn.”
Atlas took the letter and tucked it into his bag. He dropped into a shallow bow and left the building. Tapping his staff on the ground, he took off for the
