a little horizontal action! Your choice, but I bet you know my answer.” His sharp stare certainly gave away his thoughts. “Oh, and your heart is just as nice as your heart shaped ass.” He added. She couldn’t help but smile at his words. At least he was trying.

“I’d rather talk, Sin.” She mouthed.

“Ohh, my name looks hot on your lips, sweet-thang!” he growled, pressing his lips to her throat. “So fucking hot! I changed my mind. I don’t want to talk!” He said, but she pressed at his shoulder.

She wanted to know what he knew! She wasn’t going to put this off any longer. Information had to come first.

“Fine, fine. So… the Alliance are after you. We know you contacted them. We can guess why. And we got an email from Gage, the spoilsport!” Sin said, looking up at Thane. Who was Gage? “I asked for Phie to be granted access, but he said not until we hold up our end of the bargain. But, his people did have some insight into our little Devil matter. He always holds up his end of the bargain, but not necessarily in the way that it seems. So sexy one, what exactly did you ask for?”

Oh gosh!

Like she remembered the exact words and which order they went in? She had been so afraid! But she remembered enough.

Grabbing the tablet beside Adrian, Sophie typed out, “I asked for my Annie to walk and talk and be normal. And for her to live another 80 years or so.” Those had been the important things at least!

Sin nodded thoughtfully. “And she had died already. So, someone who is close to you named Annie is going to do all those things. He promised it.” Sin insisted. “Lucifer never backs out of a promise.”

Sophie sighed. This was no use! She didn’t know anyone named Annie besides her sister.

“He must have lied.” She typed back. There was no other explanation.

He obviously led her on in order to get her to find his daughter for him. A young girl who she was bound to come across.

“He doesn’t’ work that way. If he agrees, he has to uphold his end of the deal. It’s not a binding contract otherwise.” Sin argued. “Come on, we can figure it out later. Don’t stress.”

Sophie couldn’t help but stress. She had promised to take care of the Devil’s child. She had agreed to something huge and she was getting nothing in return.

“I’m pregnant, Adrian. I’m going to have a child and also have to take care of one? I have no idea what I’m doing and I don’t even have Annie to help.” She never thought that she’d be in this situation.

Sin narrowed his eyes. “We know that we didn’t get you pregnant. That’s not really physically possible, not even if we fucked all day, every day. So someone must have been stuffin’ your muffin.”

“What?” Of all the ridiculous things that he could say!

Besides, he has to be wrong. There was no other way for her to get pregnant besides one of them. She hadn’t been with any other men in years.

“No shade! I mean, we will have to kill the dude, but we will take care of you and the child!” Sin smiled, angelically. Sophie knew that he was anything but!

“Two children.” She corrected. “The Devil’s daughter and this-”

And then she got it.

Horrified, she pressed her hand to her still jiggly belly, as if she could feel the baby inside of her.

A little girl if she was right.

“Oh, Jeeze! I’m pregnant with the Devil’s daughter!”

Kellen Tolk looked around at the team in front of him. They were getting their things ready to move out. He didn’t often deal with the men and women who went on missions. He left that up to the commanders. This mission was different, however. This mission had become personal.

He didn’t like when people tried to take advantage of his company. He didn’t appreciate them undermining him. That one woman thought that she could go up against all his men and resources and somehow survive was insulting.

Tolk often received reports about the men and he knew that they were all well qualified for each mission. These men were some of the best. It might have been overkill to pick one of his top teams to kill one Human woman, however he wasn’t taking any chances. She couldn’t stay alive with the information she knew.

Now he had a name.

He had just received a message from one of Satan’s Xérnal Demons which told him the name and location of his prey. The woman was in her mid-twenties and lived in the little town of Cold Wood. It was the same place which Phillips located in the end, apparently. The Torres woman was young but helpless. It would not take much to kill her.

They would also remove her computer and her cell phone for research purposes. If she had told anyone else, they would need to be removed as well.

It would not do to let too much of the information slip.

He already killed the Xérnal. The sight of its limp bloodless body lying in his office cheered him up. Those bastards always thought they were the best. In reality they were nothing but rats in the circle of power. They had no ambition, no real strength. All they were used for was to give and take information. A cellphone could do that up here.

He was not like those Demons. He planned to rise up in power inserting himself into the government until he controlled all the American Humans. Already he had several governors in his corner. He reeled them in with the promise of great medical advancements, but the money wasn’t funding animal testing. They were funding a few research labs that dissected and tested the Hidden, as well
