Tomorrow would be the end of all this one way or another.
Chapter 26
I never dreaded the time so much in my life. Everyone was suited up and ready to go. Ryder would stay back from the Wings and Shepard would stay back from the Spawns just in case something went down while we were out at McGary Farm. If we all died they were to make sure that the patch lived on and if our home was attacked while we were gone they were to give their last fucking breath to protect it. Honestly it was a fucked up ask of anyone.
All the women, children and bunnies were sent to go to the trailers away from the compound just in case, they were all fitted with weapons and specific instructions to leave if they hadn’t heard from us by a certain time. Mostly every one of them was in a crying mess by the time 5:30 rolled around.
I walked over to one of the vans that we were all getting in to see Mikki standing there.
“What’s up? Something happen at one of the trailers?” I asked already ready to go fight.
“I want to come with you.”
I looked at her like she was outside of her mind. “What? No. Go the fuck back to the damn trailers Mikayla.”
“Listen to me! You don’t know him like I know him. You don’t know what he is really like. He is sloppy and predictable. I’ll stay out of the way and out of danger. Let me see the set up, I can help.”
I turned to Wire, he nodded once and went to go to the truck he was supposed to drive down in.
I didn’t like the idea at all however it made sense and we needed all the information that we could get.
“Mikki, I swear on my life!” I yelled and dragged her to the van I was going to be in.
“Let me even think you are putting yourself in some type of fucking danger and I will tie you down in this truck! You understand?”
“You got it boss.” She brushed her hand over my stern face and kissed me on the cheek before she stepped into the van and found a seat.
The drive to the farm was quick and tense.
We were there by 6:03 and the force that Vilanuevas had shown up with was enough to have a lesser man shaking in his boots.
There was a large white flag flying above the barn but they still had their guns out and drawn. Was he really trying to call a truce?
A large limo pulled up at the barn in front of everyone. It was fucking Vilanuevas. He was calling a truce. He was walking towards the middle of the field.
We all got our weapons out, Wire, Rooster and Anthony, Marko’s top capo, started to walk towards the meet point.
“Wait!” Mikki called out stopping our leaders and everyone else in their tracks. She stood behind me but scoped out what was in front of us.
“What is it, what do you see.”
She shook her head. “It’s a trick. That’s not him.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Rooster hissed at her as he backed up a few paces.
“I am telling you it’s a fucking trap, that is not Alejandro. I would bet money that they are surrounding us right now, trying to make sure you have no way out.” She turned to look at me in the eyes, “He’s done it before Alex. It’s a fucking trap!”
Wire didn’t wait, “Kill them all.” He growled out and raised his weapon putting a bullet in the imposters head. Our side had killed or dropped at least a third of the people standing on the other side of the field before they even had a chance to raise their guns and by the time that they did we were already either shooting them or putting them in a position that they had to run.
“They are coming in from behind!” Archer yelled out as he started to aim his rifle in the opposite direction.
I turned and started to walk towards the rear of our people. Shooting anyone that I could see.
I watched as the crew split, half stayed with Wire and Rooster while the other half stepped off with me. They followed me without question. Wire let them follow me without question. The trust. That shit fueled me.
I crouched lower into my position, my eyes everywhere at once, pulling people out of the way as I could. Shots firing in every direction but not one even scratching me. I felt fucking invincible.
6:17 pm and it was over, the smell of gun powder was heavy in the air but we had taken every single one of those fuckers out.
“Ow, ow, aowwwww!” Clean yelled out in the air in celebration. We had fucking won. The small motorcycle crew that started out with less than two dozen members had fought and clawed their way back out from under Vilanuevas thumb.
“No! No! Stop it!” Mikki called out from the back of the van where she was hiding out. “It’s not over, he’s at the club house. I guarantee it! We have to go back now!” She screamed, her hands digging into her own hair in exasperation.
“Fuck!” Wire jumped into the van waiting only for a second for a few folks to jump in the back and he peeled out of there, everyone else did the same.
For the second time in my life, I rode up to see my home being burned down. There was only one thing different this time. There was a white fog lapping at the fire. I turned to look at Wire.
“FM 200 Fire Suppression system, they’re not burning down my home again.” He yelled
