I laughed, “Just like Prime.”
“We’re all from the same damn place, of course, we all want the same things.”
“Genie, call him. Let’s see if he knows anything.”
Before Wyatt could make it to the clubhouse, Clean had already had the party started. Another crew had come to try and take our throne and once again we emerged victoriously.
I saw Wyatt walk in minus his kutte, he looked so out of place. I am pretty sure he thought that we were going to shoot him or something for all that he put us through. That wasn’t our way, once we said you were cool, you didn’t have to worry about us coming for you unless you betrayed us, then we would erase you.
I rolled over to him. “Be easy, you’re alright. If Genie vouched for you, then I guess you can’t be all that bad.”
“We fucked this up so bad, we’re supposed to be the best at fucking investigating and we didn’t do jack shit to find out if the shit Liam was saying was true.”
“That’s in the past right?”
“Yeah, it's done.”
“Good,” I put out my hand for him to shake, “They call me Ryder.”
“Wyatt.”
“Come on, my President wants to talk to you.”
I brought him over to Wire, “I have something to discuss with you.” Wire said pulling me, Prez and Genie into the community room.
“Before we met up with you fucks we had a bigger enemy, we destroyed him but not before we suffered some losses. I don’t really want to get into all of it today, not until we learn to trust you a bit more.”
Wyatt nodded but didn’t say anything.
Wire put his hand out to Prez who gave him a photo.
Wire put the picture out so Wyatt could see it. “In all of your work, did you run across anyone who might even be confused with-”
“That’s Angel.”
Prez and Wire looked at each other instantly.
“You know her? Do you know where she is? Is she still alive?” Prez peppered Wyatt with questions and Wire added his own in as well.
“She was taken with two other people, Ink and Vale. Are they with her too? Do you know where they are?”
Wyatt didn’t even have a chance to answer.
“Guys, one at a time,” I spoke up.
“Fuck that, just tell us everything you know.”
“Angel and one other man were seen being carted off from Italy. They travel on cargo ships. I am not sure which one of the men it is. Do you have a photo of them?”
Prez pulled out two more pictures, one of Vale the other of Ink.
Wyatt pointed to the photo of Ink, “This is the man she is always with. I thought he was her father. He is taking care of her the best he can from what we have been able to see via surveillance. This one though,” he pointed to the photo of Vale. “he’s working for the Bolivian Cartel.”
“No, impossible, he was taken by the Alejandro Vilanuevas, he was one of the leaders of the Bolivian Cartel, maybe that is where your information is mixed up,” I said.
“No, he works for them.” Wyatt reached in his pocket and pulled out his phone. He swiped a few times and pulled up a photo. It was of the remaining Vilanuevas brothers, a few other people around a table and in the back in the corner, Vale was standing proud and decked out in a new suit. Vale wasn’t missing, he just had a new family.
Epilogue- Cherry
I prayed he would like it.
Ryan had been working so hard but still a month after everything went down with the Boys of Djinn, he still had to use the wheelchair. I tried to keep his hopes up but every time he tried to walk and wasn’t able to, I knew he was getting more and more frustrated. The feeling in his legs was starting to come back little by little, in fact, he could already feel below his knees it was his calves and feet that were still dead. Yesterday, probably one of the worse days, it was the same physical therapy as usual but it was his last one as a forty-eight year old.
Today was his birthday.
“Come on sleepy-head.” I leaned over his sleeping form.
“Charity, why the fuck are you waking me up. Don’t you know I was up late last night? Jesus Christ woman.” He grumbled and rolled away from me.
“Wake up! We have stuff to do.”
“Fine woman, give me a minute. Let me get up.”
“Ok, I’ll meet you out the front.”
Thirty minutes later I was sweating bricks, this gift could either blow up in my face or he would love me more than he has ever loved anything in his life.
He rolled out of his room and looked at me. I had on a long sleeve leather jacket and jeans with my combat boots.
“Ok, I’m awake. Let’s get this over with. Where are we going?”
Oh please, don’t hate me.
“Come outside. I have something for you.”
Ryder followed me outside, Clean was already waiting outside for us.
“Happy Birthday,” I said trying to gauge what Ryder would do.
“Uh, you could have said happy birthday inside.”
“No, your present. That’s your present.” I pointed to the new custom Harley Davidson that Clean was standing next to.
Ryder squinted his eyes, then looked up at me. “You bought me a motorcycle?” He was squeezing the armrests on his wheelchair. “Cherry, why the fuck…” He took in a few deep breaths, he’d been trying his hardest to not snap at me so much “I know you meant well but I don’t understand why you would buy me something I can’t use.”
“No, wait,” Clean said from where he was standing. Clean jumped on the bike, turned it on and
