Chapter One

Sebastian

I take a subtle look at the woman standing next to me at my front door. She’s saying something, something I don’t hear, and then she giggles, not seeming to notice or care that I don’t respond.

She’s drunk, but not so drunk that I’m taking advantage of her by bringing her back to my place. It was her who kept ordering more cocktails after the work dinner. It was her who slipped her shoes off beneath the table and ran her toes up my leg inside of my trousers. She might be a little bit tipsy, but she knows exactly what she wants. Me.

She’s tall. Almost as tall as me, and she holds herself with confidence. A lot of tall women slouch, wanting to not stand out, but not Natalie. No, Natalie wants to be seen, to be noticed. Well she’s going to love tonight because fuck me I see her. I see her willowy waist, her full breasts and her long legs. I see the lust in her eyes and the glisten of moisture on her lips where she keeps licking them seductively.

Oh I see her alright, and pretty soon, I’ll be seeing a whole lot more of her. Natalie catches me watching her as I miss the lock with the key. She smiles, a smile that sends a blast of fire through me. It’s the smile of a predator about to devour their prey. I’m good with that. I am most definitely open to being devoured by that sensual mouth of hers.

“Is something distracting you Sebastian?” she asks, faking innocence even as she tugs at her top, revealing a little more cleavage.

I let out a soft laugh.

“Whatever gave you that impression?”

“I thought maybe you were thinking about our potential merger,” Natalie smiles putting all of the emphasis on the merger.

I finally manage to unlock the door. It’s not the smooth move I would have liked, but it sure doesn’t seem to have put Natalie off. I can almost smell the lust coming off her in waves.

“Oh I think our merger is a sure thing,” I reply as I step inside my house and stand aside so Natalie can enter.

She laughs and twiddles a strand of her silvery blonde hair around one finger. She looks down for a second and then looks up at me through her lashes, her smile widening.

“How about the tour first?” she asks.

“Sure,” I grin.

I would have preferred to have gotten straight down to business so to speak. It’s not like Natalie was going to be anything other than a one night stand. Why does she want to see every room of my house? The only room she needs to see is my bedroom. Still, it won’t take too long. Why not?

“So what’s down there?” she asks, pointing to a door off the hallway with a set of wooden steps leading down to a basement.

“Oh that’s where I keep the bodies of those who have double crossed me,” I laugh.

“No seriously? What’s down there?” she pouts. “I bet it’s a flashy wine cellar isn’t it?”

“Not exactly,” I laugh. “I’m more of a bourbon man.”

When it’s clear to me she isn’t going to relent and just let me whisk her off to the bedroom, I bite back the sigh and lead her to the stairs. I lead her down, pulling on the light as I step inside the door. Natalie laughs when we reach the bottom of the stairs and she sees the room.

The basement covers the entire length and width of my house in one room, and I’ve made it into a games room. There’s a full size pool table, several pinball machines, a dart board and a few video game machines. There’s also a well stocked bar in the corner, several high stools lining it, and half a dozen bean bags scattered around the room. I decide to make the most of the tour. I head for the bar and pour out two large bourbons. I hand one to Natalie who sips it and makes a face and then laughs.

“It’s strong,” she says.

“What can I say? I thought I’d get you drunk and take advantage of you,” I grin.

“Works for me,” she laughs.

I begin to relax a little as I sip the bourbon. Natalie is a sure thing. She hasn’t asked for the tour because she’s having second thoughts. She’s just nosey. I can deal with nosey.

“So, do you want to continue the tour or do you want me to kick your
