for a slow, sexy kiss, exploring. Sealing his claim on her once and for all.

When the kiss ended, Lily slid off and snuggled into him, lost in thoughts of all that had happened in the past few weeks. Jude stretched out beside her on the towel.

“Has Michael decided on Dietz’s sentence?”

“Imprisonment, for now,” Jude said. “Dietz knows where the stolen weapon is, and who the enemy plans to use it on. For now, he’s not talking and it’s the only thing keeping him alive.”

Another mission for a different set of agents. She and Jude were out of doing the dangerous undercover field work. Thank God.

There was only one thing more that would complete her happiness.

“Has Liam forgiven me?”

Jude nuzzled her hair. “You can ask him later. He wants to make amends in person.”

“He’s here?”

“With Dev and Geneva.”

“Does this mean they’ve reconciled?” she asked.

“They have. In fact, Liam’s moving in with them.” He gave a wistful smile. “I’ll miss him living at the house, not to mention missing his cooking, but it’s great he’s so damned happy.”

“They’ve told him they love him?”

“Yeah. They’ve made it clear the three of them come as a package deal from now on.”

Lily was thrilled for Liam. But she needed to know her place in Jude’s home, his life. Without any doubts.

“I can cook, too,” she said quietly. Voice filled with hope.

His arms tightened around her. “Can you?”

“I’m no chef, but I’m not bad.”

“Can you love a retired assassin? In sickness and in health?”

Her throat clogged with joy. “I believe I can handle that, too. If you can love a retired assassin who nearly-”

“No more of that. Ever. Let’s enjoy our vacation with our friends and after that… come home, Lily. Please.”

“I thought you’d never ask.”

Jude rolled her underneath him and her blood fired as he began to love her again.

The sexiest man in the world had brought color to her cold, joyless existence. Healed her weary soul.

She could think of nowhere she’d rather be than in Jude’s arms. In his bed.

For the rest of her life.
