GIFT: Strength and durability.

METHOD:

Conjecture.  Manipulation of Higgs field and gravitational forces through interaction with the Higgs boson, gravitons, quarks, and gluons.  The process management is little understood.  A sophisticated systematized nanite array has been imaged weaved throughout the operative’s brain.  The array likely extends throughout the entire central nervous system.  The field interactions result in a proportional increase of mass and density.

The outward appearance of the subject does not change since Volume = Mass / Density.

It is well understood that the Higgs process imparts only 1% of an objects mass.  Most mass, the 99%, is produced at the sub-Proton level by energy fluctuations in the gluon field due to the interaction of quarks and gluons.

Note the equivalency of energy and mass, E = MC2.

The subject’s abilities suggest quantum level processing control of the Higgs field with gluon field support under cognitive direction of the operative and her nanite array.

DEFINITIONS:

Higgs field.  The Higgs field interacts with fundamental particles, giving them their mass, through the mediation of the Higgs boson.  The Higgs boson is attracted to matter, instilling inertial mass.

Gravity.  The force that draws material objects together.  The mediatory particle is the graviton, which may be a type of boson.  Gravity, and the graviton, have only minimal direct interaction with matter, and are instead drawn to things with energy.  The graviton is a spin-2 particle.

Spin.  Spin is the quantum mechanics version of angular momentum.  If one twirls a bucket of sand at the end of a rope, the resultant energy is an example of angular momentum (and kinetic energy).

Fundamental particles also have momentum, though they don’t really spin around like a bucket.  Fundamental particles don’t rotate.  For example, electrons don’t rotate around a nucleus.  And fundamental particles don’t actually spin.  But it’s the term used for the momentum of a particle.

Proton.  A subatomic “particle” consisting of quarks and gluons.  Note potential interaction of antiquarks.

Nanite.  AKA nanobot.  Small machine approaching the size of 1-nanometer.  DARPA and other agencies have been working to advance this technology.

Nanite Array.  An organized, systematized colony or colonies of nanites that display characteristics of design and purpose.

PERSONAL NOTE:

According to Para, as related soon after discovering her gift.  My nanites help me to become stronger.  My mass and strength increase.  I feel heavier.  I understand that mass and weight are not the same thing.  But I’m sticking with what I feel.  I feel heavier.  I am stronger.  Things that would normally hurt a lot don’t hurt much.  We call it inverting.  I can invert just by thinking about it.

Sometimes I invert as an autonomic response.  That happens when I’m surprised or startled.  Just ask Grandad.  Or it happens when things get dangerous.  That’s the fight-or-flight response.  But I can invert whenever I want to, by just thinking about it.

Para later added to her note.  My gift is dependent on energy fluctuations in the gluon field.  There is a large energy input, a lot of kinetic energy, coming through from the quantum realm.  Well, I’m an operative with Shockwave.  We’re all about kinetic.

GIFT: Quantum teleportation.

METHOD:

At the quantum level, “particles” can share a connection.  It is likely the connection extends to all particles throughout the universe.  Neuroimaging scans show an energetic display throughout most of the operative’s brain at the point of teleportation.  This energetic interaction involves a nanite array that appears to be “woven” throughout all regions of the brain and likely the entire central nervous system.

The supposition is, the operatives, incorporating use of the nanite complex, are able to observe, communicate with, and provide direction to matter at a distance.  They are apparently able to move from one place of existence to another place of existence across any distance.

This process appears to be quantum entanglement teleportation.  The operatives are able to teleport as individuals.  They can teleport other objects as well, though there is a limitation based on mass.  The entanglement process involves a one-to-one exchange of all matter, energy, etc.

An exact replication untangles post teleportation using matter available at the chosen travel location.  There is some evidence that the necessary entangled matter can be drawn to the travel location through a little understood quantum effect.

PERSONAL NOTES:

According to Roll.  Honestly, we don’t know how it works.  We think about what we want to do, consider our present location, and concentrate on the location where we want to be.  Then we are there instead of here.

There is always a concern about relocating to the wrong place.  For example, we would not want to end up inside a boulder.  But we can sort of feel if that is going to happen and stop the process.  Maybe.

It is really important to know the location where you will be teleporting.  I guess it all happens in a fraction of a second.  Of course, when you are working with quantum things, time is ... odd.

According to Rock.  It’s like Roll said.  And the more you think of this, the stranger it is.  At the quantum level (atoms and smaller), particles do not have definite, deterministic qualities until they are measured or observed.

The real subatomic world is not at all like the simplistic chart of electrons orbiting a proton-and-neutron nucleus.  Electrons really don’t orbit like planets around the sun even if your science teacher told you so.  They aren’t even there as we think of something being there, occupying space and time.  It is all a function of probability.  It’s like they are continually popping in and out of existence.

How does just “observing” something change the thing?  How does observing a quantum particle directly and immediately affect its entangled partner particle, no matter the separation distance?  No wonder Professor Einstein called this
