“What’s the plan Brad?” asks Sal.
Brad feels somewhat intimidated by Sal and isn’t sure what to say.
Jacob looks at Brad and asks, “How come you didn’t meet with Ryan yet?”
“I did, we went to the stadium,” answers Brad.
“You were supposed to meet with him again after that,” says Jacob.
Brad doesn’t reply.
“I had to incentivize Brad to get the job done with Ryan,” says Sal.
“What does that mean?” asks DK.
Sal looks at Brad and answers, “Brad takes out Ryan and he gets his wife Ola back.”
DK is kind of shocked to hear what Sal did, but he also knows what Sal is capable of.
“When’s your next meeting?” asks DK to Brad.
“I tried to have it the other day, but he couldn’t make it,” answers Brad.
“Well, get it done. I want it done soon,” says Jacob.
“Okay,” replies Brad.
“Anything else we need to discuss?” asks Sal to Jacob.
“How is the cleanup of the Pinellas beaches and Tampa water ways coming?” asks Jacob.
“Slow, but steady, we had to take down a small coast guard boat and we lost some guys in the process,” answers Sal.
“Were you able to take down the Colombian guy?” asks Jacob to Sal.
“They wounded him, but he’s still alive,” answers Sal.
“Why not have Dennison’s crew do it?” asks Jacob.
“Why not have DK do it?” asks Sal.
Jacob looks at DK and Jacob answers Sal, “We have other important matters to worry about.”
“Like what?” asks Sal.
“Matters that don’t concern you,” answers Jacob.
“Well, it would be a big debt I would owe you if you did this for me,” replies Sal.
“Why is he important?” asks DK.
Sal looks at DK, smiles, and answers, “The Colombians and the Italians have been at war in Tampa Bay since the 1930’s and it still carries on today.”
“But what does that have to do with Javier?” asks DK.
“Nothing, and everything. It has to do with control. Javier and his people still control a lot of things around Tampa Bay,” answers Sal.
“What do they have that you want?” asks Jacob to Sal.
“Everything,” answers Sal.
“Well, I’m not going to risk my life and my people’s lives just for you to have control of some stupid abandoned buildings,” says DK to Sal.
Sal looks at Jacob and Jacob feels that Sal is expecting him to step up and take out Javier for him.
“We’ll come up with something that works for both of us,” says Jacob.
“I would appreciate it. But anything else? Brad and I need to get back home,” replies Sal.
“I think that’s it for now,” answers Jacob.
“Okay, we’ll be in touch,” says Sal and then Sal shakes Jacob’s right hand.
“Come on boys! Let’s go home!” shouts Sal.
Sal walks towards DK and Sal gives him an intimidating look, and DK looks right back at him.
Brad says goodbye to DK and Jacob and then he exits the church with Sal and Sal’s goons.
Jacob looks up at the tall church ceiling, stain glass windows, church pews, and then at DK.
“You know how this church is still standing?” asks Jacob to DK.
“It’s a church, why wouldn’t it be?” answers DK.
“A lot of churches in Tampa and around here have been destroyed or ruined in some way, but not this one,” says Jacob.
DK feels that Jacob is being rhetorical with his questions and waits for him to get to the point.
“This church is standing because we protected it and saved it. This church means a lot to me and your sister and I made it a priority to protect it,” says Jacob.
DK watches Jacob as he looks at a piece of stain glass and Jacob shouts, “We have the power to do big things around here!”
Jacob walks back over to DK and says, “I decide what happens and then we get it done.”
DK looks at Jacob and Jacob asks, “Is that clear?”
DK doesn’t answer Jacob.
“Is that clear?” asks Jacob with a louder tone as he stares at DK.
“Yes,” answers DK.
DK feels that Jacob is threatening him, and he wonders if Jacob will attack him.
“What do you want to happen though?” asks DK.
“I want Ryan gone. I want his whole group gone. Everyone that he knows and is working with needs to be gone from existence,” answers Jacob.
“But how? How are we going to do that?” asks DK.
“I don’t know yet, but Ryan’s day of reckoning is coming, and I want everyone to know that we did it. Everyone needs to know that if you mess with Jacob and DK you get taken out,” answers Jacob.
DK sees that Jacob is very angry, and he wonders what Jacob is planning.
“But isn’t Brad supposed to take Ryan out?” asks DK to Jacob.
Jacob smiles, chuckles, and answers, “Brad doesn’t have the stones for it. He’s only doing it because Sal has him by the balls. I’ll let him try, but I doubt he’ll get it done.”
DK thinks about Brad and what he is capable of.
“Let’s get back home. Your sister is making a big dinner for us,” says Jacob.
Jacob and DK and the fellow Conquerors exit the church and several Conquerors lock and secure the front entrance of the church.
“You know your sister is a great woman and I love her very much,” says Jacob to DK as they walk towards Jacob’s electric car.
DK and Jacob get into Jacob’s electric car and Jacob drives away from the church.
“What about the Ghosts?” asks DK to Jacob as Jacob speeds down an empty street.
“What about them?” asks Jacob.
“They are a pretty big threat and they have taken out several of our patrols around Tampa,” answers DK.
“Let’s worry about Ryan first and then we’ll go after them,” replies Jacob.
