American man bleed out and stop breathing.

“It’s better that he’s dead anyway,” I reply to Phil as I exit the room and then exit the house.

Phil looks into the bedroom that I checked, and he sees two dead teenage boys lying on the floor.

“You guys okay?” asks Jon as I exit the house.

I walk over to the large Caucasian man that is still lying face down and Jon asks, “Where is Phil?”

Phil exits from the house and Jon sees that Phil is okay.

I check the pulse of the large Caucasian man and I don’t feel a pulse. “He’s dead,” I say.

“I think he hit his head on the driveway after I kicked him in his head,” says Jordan.

I look down at the blood around the dead woman, change my display on my Ghost mask and say, “I would have liked to have gotten answers from them, but it’s better that they are gone.”

“What did you guys find?” I ask as I look at Jon, Phil, and Matt.

“Just a couple dead ones, they could have been with them,” answers Matt.

“Did they look like prisoners?” I ask.

“I don’t know, but they were in rough shape,” answers Phil.

I worry about Citrus Oaks and say, “Let’s get back home. Brody told me that JJ is back at CO.”

“Why didn’t he answer his radio?” asks Phil.

“I don’t know, but we’re going to find out,” I answer.

CHAPTER 10

WHO ARE THOSE GUARDS?

The guys and I return to Citrus Oaks and I see Jaws Junior and the two guards that he took out with him talking with Brody and a couple other guards near our main entrance.

I park my electric car, remove my Ghost mask, get out of the electric car, and shout, “What the fuck! Why didn’t you answer your radio?”

Jaws Junior looks at me and answers, “It broke.”

“Are any of you hurt?” I ask as I look at the guards.

“We got a couple scrapes, but we are good,” answers Jaws Junior.

Matt, Jon, Phil, and Jordan come over to me.

“Did you run into anyone out there?” asks Phil to Jaws Junior.

A guard smiles and jokes, “More like ran over them.”

The guards smile and chuckle.

“What does that mean? What happened?” asks Phil.

Jaws Junior looks at us and isn’t sure why Phil and I are asking him questions in an aggressive tone, but he answers Phil, “We checked out some homes, and didn’t find much, but yes, we did run into a group of four people that were most likely prisoners.”

“In the Cordavo neighborhood?” I ask.

“I’m not sure what it was called, but yeah I think so, the large neighborhood pretty close to here,” answers Jaws Junior.

“Did you find anything good out there?” asks Jon.

The two guards that went out with Jaws Junior look at each other and they laugh.

I look around and I see two trucks parked in the cul-de-sac near our main entrance near Chris’ old house. Both of the trucks have tarps covering the objects that are sitting in the back truck bed of each truck.

Phil sees that the two guards that went out with Jaws Junior have radios on their belts.

While looking at the two trucks, that Jaws Junior and his group loaded up from their trip around today, I say, “Well, I’m glad you guys are okay.”

“Yeah, we are good,” replies Jaws Junior.

I see a decent sized cut on one of the guards hands and ask him, “Do you need me to look over that cut?”

The guard looks down at his left hand and answers, “No, I’m good.”

“Battle scars,” says another guard with a cheering tone.

I look at Brody and Brody notices my concerned look.

“Well, make sure you clean it out and bandage it,” I say to the guard and then I say to Brody, “Can I talk with you a second?”

Brody walks from behind the guards and Jaws Junior and I walk with him away from the group.

As I’m walking with Brody away from the group of guards, I hear one of the guards say, “Fuck that, rub some dirt on your cut.”

“Who are those guards? Are they new here or something?” I ask Brody.

“The two who went out with JJ are new, they came here yesterday,” answers Brody.

I look at the guards and Jaws Junior and I see Phil, Matt, Jon, and Jordan walk away from Jaws Junior and the guards.

“You need anything Ry?” shouts Phil.

“No thanks, I’m good. See you guys later,” I shout.

Phil, Jon, Matt, and Jordan get into Phil’s electric car and Phil drives towards Matt’s house.

I sense Brody feeling uneasy about the new guards and how they are acting.

“We got potentially a serious problem around here with these escaped prisoners,” I say to Brody.

“Did you see them?” asks Brody.

“Yeah, we ran into three of them and it sounds like Jaws Junior ran into another group of them,” I answer.

“What should we do?” asks Brody.

I think about Brody’s question and I’m not sure what we should do just yet.

“Should we try to get more people from the Haven?” asks Brody.

I look over at the two new guards that are dressed in Haven Warrior gear, and I see them horsing around in the grass, and I answer, “I want to talk with William and Bruce first about that, but just keep your eyes peeled for anything unusual around here.”

“Yes sir,” replies Brody.

I walk with Brody and we approach the guards and Jaws Junior.

The two new guards, who look like they are in their early twenties, are two Caucasian males that are both wearing long sleeved shirts, pants, and boots along with Haven Warrior gear.

“You need anything from me?” I ask Jaws Junior.

“No, I’m
