I open the refrigerator and take out two beer cans.
I walk back into Shaun’s garage and I hear Phil say into his radio, “Well, we want to talk with you tomorrow about a couple people you sent over here.”
I close the door that leads into the garage and I hear Phil say into his radio, “That’s fine. We’ll go with you.”
The conversation Phil is having on his radio has me intrigued and wondering where we are going tomorrow.
“We’ll be there bright and early tomorrow morning. We’ll see you at eight,” says Phil into his radio.
I hand Phil a can of beer and Phil ends his radio call.
“Where are we going tomorrow?” I ask Phil.
“On a mission with William,” answers Phil.
“Why so early tomorrow morning?” I ask Phil and then I take a sip from my beer can.
“He has something big going on tomorrow morning and that’s when he could meet with us, so I figured you would be okay with it,” answers Phil and then Phil looks at me with a questioning expression on his face.
“I am, did he say anything else?” I ask.
“He told me to have you bring your medical supplies with you if you are coming tomorrow,” answers Phil.
“Does he want us all to come?” I ask Phil.
“Not sure. You want me to ask Matt and Jon about coming tomorrow?” answers Phil.
“Let’s meet with them and tell them what’s going on. Keeping everyone in the loop is important,” I answer Phil.
Phil gets a hold of Matt and Jon over the radio and they meet us in Shaun’s garage.
“Let’s go inside for this,” I say.
“Why? What’s up?” asks Matt.
Phil, Jon, Matt, and I walk into Shaun’s house and we sit in Shaun’s living room.
“What’s going on?” asks Matt with a nervous tone.
“Calm down, everything is okay,” answers Phil.
Jon, Phil, and Matt look at me and I say, “We could have a problem with the guards that went out with JJ.”
“What happened?” asks Jon.
“Nothing yet, but they seem like they could cause some problems around here,” I answer.
“Why? What did they do?” asks Matt.
“They went out with JJ, got some stuff, and just seemed off when I was talking with them,” I answer Matt.
Matt looks at Jon and then Matt asks, “That’s it?”
I look at Phil and then Jon and I answer Matt, “They seem like guys that will rock the boat around here and stir shit up.”
I look at Jon and Phil and ask, “Didn’t you get that vibe from them?”
Phil nods his head and answers, “Yeah.”
Jon doesn’t answer, and I wonder why Jon didn’t answer.
“Do you agree Jon? You were there, didn’t they seem like they were going against everything I was saying?” I ask Jon.
Jon seems hesitant to answer. I feel the sense that Jon feels the pressure to agree with me and to not go against the group, but Jon answers, “Yeah, they did.”
“But what do you want to do about them?” asks Matt.
“Nothing yet, but I just see a potential problem here and I’m making you guys aware of it,” I answer Matt.
Matt seems like he doesn’t agree with me and Jon is showing me that as well.
I start to get mad and say to Matt, “Well, they seem like punks and they were saying stuff about Kylie.”
“What did they say?” asks Matt with an angry tone.
I see that Matt is interested now that I brought his wife Kylie into the conversation.
“Does it matter?” I ask Matt.
“Yeah, it does,” answers Matt as he looks at me with an intense look in his eyes.
I see the look in Matt’s eyes, and I see the fierceness that he has now as he wants to protect his wife.
“They commented about her weight and they called her fat,” I answer Matt.
“Do those morons know she is pregnant?” asks Matt.
“It doesn’t matter, what matters is that they could be a problem and we don’t need any more fucking problems around here,” says Phil.
“But, what’s your plan?” asks Jon.
“Nothing, just yet. Phil and I are going with William and his Warriors on a mission tomorrow,” I answer Jon.
“Are we coming with you?” asks Jon.
“That’s what we’re meeting about,” answers Phil.
I see that Matt is still mad about the comments about Kylie, and I’m not sure if it was a good thing or not to tell him about what they said.
“I think we should have you two stay here and watch over things when Phil and I meet with William,” I say to Jon and Matt.
“Okay, sounds good,” replies Jon.
“You okay with that Matt?” asks Phil.
Matt looks at Phil and answers, “Yeah, I’ll stay here and look over things while you are gone.”
“Where are you going with William?” asks Jon.
I look at Phil and Phil answers, “He said something about going after Jeremy and Jeremy’s group.”
“Did he say where though?” asks Jon.
“He didn’t want to give specifics over the radio,” answers Phil.
“Smart,” replies Jon.
I look at Matt and see that Matt is still upset from what I told him about the guards and Kylie.
“You okay man?” I ask Matt.
“Which one of the guards said it?” asks Matt.
“I don’t know, I don’t even know their names,” I answer Matt.
“Do you think JJ is up to something?” asks Jon.
I think about Jon’s question and I answer, “I don’t know, but this world makes good people do bad things.”
“Just keep an eye on the new guards and JJ and let us know if you see anything,” says Phil.
“You okay with doing that Matt?” I ask Matt.
