“Is Dr. Morris still there?” asks Phil.
“Yeah and the guy they found her with. He keeps laughing and saying that his brother isn’t going to stop attacking the Haven unless they release him,” answers Shaun.
“Why not just give him back then?” asks Matt.
“Not sure, and I’m not sure what William has planned for Dr. Morris and that guy,” answers Shaun.
“Where is Chewie?” asks Shaun.
“You want me to go get him?” asks Matt.
“Yeah, I would like to see him,” answers Shaun.
“I’ll go get him,” says Matt and then Matt exits Shaun’s house and goes over to his house to get Chewie.
“But how are things going here?” asks Shaun.
“Pretty good,” I answer.
“Besides having Brad dropped off at our front gate and a couple problems with some new guards around here, we are doing pretty well,” says Phil.
“What happened to Brad?” asks Shaun.
“DK, well DK’s people beat Brad up and dropped him off across the street in a truck,” I answer.
“Why?” asks Shaun.
“He was a gift to me,” I answer.
“That’s a terrible gift,” says Shaun.
“Yeah, DK said it was to show me that I can trust him because Brad was supposed to kill me and DK didn’t let that happen,” I reply.
“Well, Brad did have a couple chances to kill you, but he didn’t,” says Phil.
Shaun asks, “Why would Brad want to kill you?”
“They have his wife and they said the only way to get her back is to kill me,” I answer.
Matt comes back into Shaun’s house with Chewie.
Chewie runs over to me and then Shaun, and then he smells everyone in the living room.
Shaun looks at Chewie and sees that he has gained weight and jokes, “Man, Chewie is a fat boy now.”
“It’s my mom and Kylie, they are constantly giving him treats and food,” replies Matt.
“Are there any animals at the Haven?” asks Jon.
“There a couple big fatties walking around,” jokes Shaun.
“You’ve lost weight though,” says Phil to Shaun.
“Thank you for noticing. Yeah, I started to shred up and slim down a little bit. I think it will help me be more agile,” replies Shaun.
The loud roar of a motorcycle is heard driving down our main street.
I stand up and look out Shaun’s living room big picture window.
“I guess JJ got his bike,” I say as I see Jaws Junior drive towards Shaun’s house.
The guys look out the window and they see Jaws Junior drive his motorcycle by Shaun’s house and someone driving JJ’s car behind him.
“Who is driving his car?” asks Shaun.
“Looks like Dalton and Dean,” answers Jon.
Shaun asks, “Dalton and Dean?”
I step away from Shaun’s living room window and answer, “They are the two new problem guards that we have around here.”
“Where did they come from?” asks Shaun.
“The Haven I believe,” answers Phil.
“I’m not sure William has sent over any new guards here though, you sure they are from there?” asks Shaun.
“What do you mean?” I ask Shaun as the guys step away from Shaun’s living room window.
“I mean the Haven has had all their people on deck to go after the Conquerors and they haven’t sent anyone here,” answers Shaun.
“But didn’t William talk about them when you asked him?” asks Phil to me.
“Not really, he gave generic answers and he didn’t really know who I was talking about,” I answer Phil.
I grab my radio and call for Brody to come to Shaun’s house.
Brody comes to Shaun’s house and I ask Brody, “Are you sure Dalton and Dean are from the Haven?”
“I think so, they were wearing Haven Warrior gear when they showed up here,” answers Brody.
“Did they come alone or with anyone else?” asks Phil to Brody.
“They came alone,” answers Brody.
Phil looks at me with a concerned look and says, “We need to talk with them right now.”
“What’s going on sir?” asks Brody.
“Dalton and Dean might not be from the Haven,” I answer Brody.
I exit Shaun’s house with Phil. Shaun, Brody, and Jon exit Shaun’s house behind us and Brody shouts to me as I’m walking with Phil, “Should I get a couple guards?”
“Sure!” I shout as I walk with Phil towards our Armory house.
I enter our Armory house with Phil and Shaun, and I grab a shotgun. Phil does the same, and Shaun asks, “Should I get a rifle?”
Phil sees that Shaun has a handgun on him and answers, “Just use your handgun.”
Phil, Shaun, and I exit the Armory house and Jon says, “I’m going home to check on Kelly.”
Phil locks the Armory house and Shaun, Phil, and I walk down the sidewalk towards the Medical house and the back of our neighborhood.
“Are these two guys dangerous?” asks Shaun as we pass the Medical house.
“They seem like two idiots, but let’s not underestimate them,” answers Phil.
“What do we do about JJ?” I ask.
We turn the corner and enter the cul-de-sac where Jaws Junior, Darlene, Jordan and Deb, and Kelly and Jon live.
I see Jaws Junior’s motorcycle in his open garage and his car that Dalton and Dean were driving parked in the street in front of Jaws Junior’s house.
“How are we doing this?” asks Shaun.
“Let’s play it cool until shit breaks down,” answers Phil.
I look at Jaws Junior’s house and think about the fact that we are holding guns and we are approaching Jaws Junior’s house.
“But we are holding guns and I’m sure they’ll be threatened at the sight of us coming,” I say.
I think about what to do and say, “Let’s have Shaun go to JJ’s front door and we’ll stay hidden but ready if something happens.”
“What the fuck? I’m not being a guinea pig here,” replies Shaun.
