“Yeah, I do. You two aren’t going to kill us, so just let us go on our way and quit with the theatrics,” answers Dean.
“Maybe you are right, maybe we won’t kill you, or maybe we’ll just make you suffer until we get some answers,” replies Phil.
I end my conversation with Brody over the radio and ask Dean and Dalton, “Well we know you aren’t from the Haven, so where are you from? You with the Conquerors, Channelside, or where?”
“Channelside? Conquerors? What are you talking about?” asks Dean.
“How about the prison?” asks Shaun.
Dean and Dalton don’t answer as they look at Shaun.
“Yeah, that’s it. The tats on your arms look like shitty prison tats,” says Phil.
“I got them before prison,” says Dean.
“When did you get out?” asks Phil.
“We got out about a week ago,” answers Dalton.
“Dennison let you out?” I ask Dean and Dalton and they both give me a shocked expression like how do I know about Dennison.
“I met two of your people from the inside. Tyler and Tiny I believe they were, before they died,” I say to Dean.
“You kill them?” asks Dean.
“Yeah, well Tyler killed Tiny, and I shot Tyler,” I answer Dean.
I see the expression on Dean and Dalton’s face change from cocky to concerned.
“How old are you two?” asks Shaun.
“What does it matter?” answers Dean.
“You just look young is all,” answers Shaun.
“It doesn’t matter how old we are,” responds Dalton.
“You are right, it only matters what you do in this world and if you hurt or help people,” says Shaun.
“How many prisoners left the prison?” asks Phil to Dean and Dalton.
“I didn’t get a head count,” answers Dean with a sarcastic tone.
“Just a rough estimate fucker,” replies Phil.
“We’re answering your questions and getting nothing out of this,” says Dalton.
“Oh yeah? What do you want?” asks Phil.
Dean and Dalton think about Phil’s question and Dean answers, “First we want to be untied.”
“And we want a house in here,” says Dalton.
“Anything else?” asks Phil.
“That would be a good start,” answers Dean.
“I got a good start for you,” replies Phil.
WHAP!
Phil punches Dean straight in his nose and Dean falls backwards in his chair onto the living room tile.
Blood starts coming out from Dean’s nose and I see that Phil broke Dean’s nose.
“What the fuck!” shouts Dalton as he looks down at Dean who is still tied to the chair that is now on the tile floor.
“You don’t make demands; we decide what happens to you. We have people and families in here and you fucks aren’t going to mess up what we have,” says Phil to Dalton.
“You broke my fucking nose!” shouts Dean as he spits out blood onto his shirt.
“I’ll break more than that if you keep up with your bullshit demands!” shouts Phil.
Seeing Dean and Dalton tied up in their chairs reminds me of the two guys that Phil and I tied to the street signpost and the two guys that we executed on the front lawn of the Medical house.
“Is there any reason to keep you around?” I shout to Dean and Dalton.
“Just let us go, and you’ll never see us again,” answers Dalton.
Shaun sees Dean starting to choke on his own blood and picks him up from the floor.
Dean spits out some more blood onto his shirt.
“Why should we keep you alive?” I ask as I look at Dalton.
“We could have killed Jaws Junior and his wife,” answers Dalton.
“Did you touch Darlene or anyone in here?” I ask Dalton.
Before Dean or Dalton can answer, the front door of the abandoned house we are in opens and Jaws Junior enters the house and aims his handgun at Dean and Dalton.
BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG!
Jaws Junior fires four shots at Dean and Dalton and all four shots hit Dean and Dalton and kill them.
“What the fuck!” shouts Shaun as he gets up from the living room tile floor.
“Did I get you?” asks Jaws Junior to Shaun.
Shaun checks himself for bullet wounds and answers, “No, but next time give me more than a second to get away from the people you are shooting at.”
“Sorry,” replies Jaws Junior as he holsters his handgun.
“Why did you shoot them?” asks Phil to Jaws Junior.
“Dar told me that they both made advances on her, but she and Indy stopped them,” answers Jaws Junior.
“Is Darlene okay?” I ask Jaws Junior.
“Yeah, she is okay, and nothing happened to her,” answers Jaws Junior.
“Well, that ends that. Guess we don’t have to decide on if they should live or not,” says Shaun.
“I hope no one else was threatened by these two,” I say.
“We aren’t taking any new people in. No one from the Haven or anywhere else unless we personally know them,” says Phil.
“I agree,” I say.
“What are we going to do with these bodies?” asks Jaws Junior.
“You mean what are you going to do?” asks Phil to Jaws Junior.
“Yeah, I’ll take care of it, but I was wondering if I should bury or burn them,” answers Jaws Junior.
“Sir, we have a problem here at the front gate,” says Brody over the radio.
“What’s wrong?” I ask into my radio.
“There are a bunch of people here and this one guy says he wants to talk with you,” answers Brody over the radio.
“Who is he? What does he want?” I ask into my radio.
I hear Brody ask the person his name, as Brody has his finger on the radio talk button, and then I also hear a woman’s voice say something to Brody.
“He said his name is Bishop,” answers Brody over the radio.
“Who the fuck is Bishop?” asks Shaun.
