At that moment, anger possessed Theo, didn't care for his baby brother and wasted no time, and propelled Carl mercilessly on the ground. Carl's back skid on the ground. His human flesh was scraped and scratched. The metamorphosed, punched Carl, in the stomach, face and chest breaking his ribs or two, grabbed him by the neck and raised him, his legs dangling in the air. He began to wiggle, trying to get out of the death hold. Theo's claws slowly dug into Carl's neck. His blood started to flow out of his mouth. His face was turning blue to green.
"You no longer deserved to live on this planet." The deep, deadly voice of a wolfman buzzed in the cold air.
Theo took him over his legs. Carl's terrified green eyes stared at him. Theo's nails prick into Carl's flesh like a fork, to tear his organ inside out.
"K-kill m..me..." Carl insisted, with apparent fear in his eyes.
Nails penetrated, bisecting, Carl coughed blood, spewed from his mouth.
Theo looked down at him for a long moment, contemplating on Leo's words and his emotions. Of course, he didn't want to kill his little brother, but he was vulnerable in this state, and it was scary to continue to do so.
Theo howled, looking up at the dark sky with pain and regret.

CHAPTER 12
Aries' I heard a whisper of my name in my head, the voice I instantly recognized was Leo's. I woke up abruptly and scanned my room, only to find it empty, there was no one around.
I smiled and shook my head, "Silly me." I said to myself.
Finals were over. The school was over, and I could feel my living condition in this place coming to an end. I was going to be free and live the life I'd always dream of, and now it includes Leo.
Suddenly, I shuddered with fear, an uneasy feeling, caused my stomach in knots as if something terrible had happened.
'Strange,' I thought.
I checked my phone. The only message I'd received from Leo was from yesterday evening. Since then, he'd not replied to me. I became nervous about it because Leo always had responded to my text—instantly. My eyes went to the right-hand corner of my phone to look at the time, and it read Seven: twelve.
'Hey, good morning, Mr. boyfriend.' A smile formed on my lips as I texted him. 'I miss you.'
I hoped he'd reply to me as I waited for a few moments, but then I'd a sudden urge to pee, so I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, showered, and changed my clothes.
A knock came on my door. I opened the door, Skye told me some guy was here to see me, and was waiting outside of the house. She mentioned 'some guy,' that means he wasn't Leo. I went to her room since her bedroom window was facing the street while mine faced the woods. I peeked out of her window and saw Jedrek. 'What is he doing here so early in the morning?' I was beginning to get suspicious and worried since Jedrek was Leo's best friend.
He looked stressed, more like agitating, looking nervous and tense. I went an opened the front door, as soon as he saw me, he quickly ran towards me, before I opened my mouth to speak—to ask, about Leo, he spoke,
"Lu—Aries, Leo, h-he's hurt—" His face etched with sorrow, his eyes filled with grief.
My heart dropped in my stomach, I felt nervous, and my hands started shaking, without a second thought, I asked him to take me to him. Tears were running down my cheek. We got in his car, he struggled to put the key into the ignition with the left hand, and then I noticed Jedrek's right hand was covered in bandages. I offered to drive, but he denied it.
"What happened, Jedrek?" I asked him, he never looked at me, he just stared at the road while he was driving, his grip got tight on the steering wheel.
"He's fighting for his...life." Jedrek was crying.
"No." I gasp out loud, one hand flying back to my mouth, trembling with fear. The first time in my life, I'd achieved a triumph of happiness, and now in the very next moment, it was getting snatched away.
"He-He was stabbed. He's in a coma." He continued.
My whole world came crashing down. I felt dizzy. I pulled the knees into my chest and started to cry. I tried to stabilize myself, to stay strong, but I was failing miserably.
"Aries, you're the only hope and his strength." He said to me.
"I'll do everything within my power to make sure my Leo gets better and sooner. I'll do anything."
The whole drive to the hospital, my heart was beating violently, emotions were turbulent, chaotic all at the same time. I breathe in and out a couple of times, trying to calm my heart.

In the hospital, Jedrek grasped my wrist and hauled me, pulling into a run, taking me to Leo. People in the hospital gave us a strange look, but Jedrek didn't give a shit about them, and neither did I.
When we reached a specific room, Jedrek told me to go in, and that he'd stay outside if I needed him. I entered the room, and Jedrek closed the door behind me. I was left alone with Leo's motionless body on the bed. I went straight to him and gazed at him, his body covered under the white sheets, his hands were on his side. He looked pale; there were minor cuts and wounds on his beautiful face and his lower lip. He had an oxygen mask covering his mouth and nose.
I sobbed silently. The tears in my eyes made everything blur. I wiped them away and got down to my knees. I reached and touched Leo's cheek, and his skin felt cold. I ran my fingers into his soft black hair. I wanted to see his blue eyes, looking back at me, the smile on his lips for me, but they were both sealed.
"Leo, I'm
