"Shh... everything is going to be okay. I'm always going to be here with you. You're not alone. We'll try to figure it all out." He said. His support always brought comfort and assurance.
"I know."
Just then, a bright light shone in the dark forest that instantly grabbed our attention. I looked up at Leo, and he was staring in wide eyes. I turned around to see what Leo was looking at, and my own eyes also became wide and affixed to this beautiful oval-shaped yellow glow in mid-air.
Leo slowly moved me behind him and took a protective stance.
The light got brighter but still tolerable enough to our eyes and then began to fade away as three figures of women appeared. The soft glow was still in the background.
"Hello, Aries." The woman in the front greeted me.
"Who are you?" Leo asked with a commanding tone, yet showing his respect. After all, he was an Alpha.
"My name is Ellice, on my right is Elein and on the left Ellenis. We are the witches from Triora."
"Triora?" Leo spoke. "The Last Witch Trials of Italy, which now is known as The Salem of Europe," Leo clarified. Although I didn't know anything about it, I was very intrigued by this, and I stayed quiet, listening to them.
"Yes, Alpha Leonard Carter."
"It's tragic and shameful what they did to all the noble-women." Leo bowed his head.
"So, what is your purpose of visiting? Is there something I could help you with?" Leo made a humble request.
"That's quite all right, Alpha. We are here for Aries."
Hearing that, Leo took my hand in his, showing his possessive side.
"Don't worry, Alpha, we're not here to take her away from you." She smiled with a hint of amusement in her eyes.
"H-How d-do you know me?" I asked.
"We are the voice that was communicating with you, Aries. After you've inherited three powerful gifts from us."
"I-I don't understand." My curiosity increased tenfold.
"And that is why we are here to explain it all," She said.
"Why me? Why do I possess your powers?"
"Centuries ago, in Triora, when the witches were hunted, tortured, and burned, we three sisters needed to find a solution to save our powers. So we stripped our powers out of our system and created this amazing tiny, dense, energy ball. And to keep it alive, hidden, and secret. We needed it to be stored in a living thing." Elein, the second sister, briefed us.
"And for centuries, it has been moving from one body to another in many different forms, and reincarnated as animals." The third sister Ellenis took over.
"But never as a human being until you were born," Ellice interjected.
She then turned to Leo and began to explain, "For some mysterious reasons, the Moon Goddess could not find your mate. After an exhaustive but unsuccessful search, your real mate declared lost. As the day of your coronation was approaching, the Goddess had no other choice but to force someone else as your mate. Vivian's name came to my mind on Leo's mate, and worry began to build within me. Leo gave me a tight squeeze of assurance, reminding me that I'm his. I, too, held him securely and intertwined my fingers with his, telling him—he was mine.
"Alpha Leo, now that the Moon Goddess has found your real soulmate, Aries will be crowned as Luna," Ellice confirmed, and warmth filled my chest.
"Told you," Leo whispered softly in my ear. He'd that smile on his face, which I couldn't deny to keep it to myself as we stared at each other.
"You're the power couple of this century," Elein said, beaming at me. I could feel my oncoming blush, which I tried to hide but failed miserably.
"Speaking of my powers. Why did my powers never work before? Why now?" I asked with confusion and concern.
"Aries, to activate these powers require a tremendous amount of energy. You never had it until Alpha Leo marked you. The energy he transferred into you had a mega effect on you, which in turn triggered your powers."
It made sense. But it bothered me, I was doing okay before, without having powers. I was innocent, and now with the skills I became—The Killer!
"What are her powers, if I may ask?" Leo spoke.
"Ellice, gave Aries, the power of Fire, from Elein she received Premonition."
"And from me," Ellenis continued, "She got the Power to Heal."
"Wow! These are way too many powers for my little human body to handle." I exclaimed as I was a bit shocked at the revelation.
"Well... you can also transmorph."
"Transmorph?" I was astonished.
"Yes, you can take any form of any living creature."
"Really? I'll be able to morph?" I asked with uncertainty.
"Yes." Ellice agreed.
"How is that even possible, it didn't come from any of you." I scoffed and questioned.
"You're absolutely right. It is your personal creation. Over the centuries, you've taken numerous births as different creatures, from an ant to zebra, that information got stored in your soul. Therefore you can morph into any living being." Ellice elaborated.
I was finding it exceptionally hard to surmise. Everything was overwhelming for my little heart to manage, but my mind was completely blank. I'd questions and so many of them, but at the moment, in my current state, I couldn't put then into words.
"I don't need these powers." I blurted out. I felt Leo becoming tense.
"Aries, dear, why do you not want them?" Ellice asked.
"I don't want the powers that kill." I clarified.
"Powers are skills," she defines.
"That can take lives."
"Not if used wisely." She countered.
"Well, I don't want them, so can you take it back?" I requested. All three of them looked dissatisfied with me. Here I was given the opportunity of a lifetime. With one
